Leading member of South Side, Chicago, crime organisation killed!

Yesterday, a close associate of Chicago crime boss Mark named Darkklay was shot and killed by a member of an as yes unidentified group which has emerged to prosecute what they term a "war" against the RailYard crime family.  Details are sketchy at present, but we will report more as and when we know.  A claim of responsibility was issued linking this murder to the controversial awarding of a writing contest prize to a non-entrant, following the mysterious murder some time ago of a man named LostBoy. 

Leading Associate of South Side, Chicago, crime organisation killed!

The same organisation suspected of killing Darkklay also attempted to murder HuckleBerryFinn.  The operation seems to have gone wrong, but the group killed Huncho, on the grounds that he was a member of Mark's crew.  Reports came in later that the killing was botched from inception, as Huncho is actually a member of Jarrick's crew.

Darkklay's son killed!

The group behind the killing of reputed grandson of LostBoy, Darkklay, killed Pleiades, stating that not only was he from the LostBoy lineage and as such in possession of an ill-gotten fortune, but he was also a member of Mark's crew.

"No-mark C" DeadMenTellnoTales shot dead in LA!

Unimportant nobody DeadMenTellnoTales was shot and killed, having attemped first to kill a freelance gangster in LA.  Nobody noticed, or attended his funeral.  Whilst some suspect the shadowy group who have been decimating Mark's crew, underworld sources that this person was killed simply for the amusement of the gunman, and because he was semi-suspected of belonging to the K_W lineage. We will have more details if and when anyone, anywhere, has anything to say about this barely noticed and pointless assassination.  

KillShot, 2nd in command of South Side, attempts to negotiate with gunmen, and fails!

Killshot tried, but failed, to negotiate with the group effortlessly murdering his associates.  Apparently the demand was a modest $3m, but Killshot and Mark prefered to watch their hardworking Consiglieres and members died pointless deaths.

The Cowardice of HuckleBerryFinn!

HuckleBerryFinn learned of his targeting by a shadowy underground group and fled the city he was in and went into hiding.  HBF is part of Mark's crew, and it is suspected this is why Mark is under sustained and effective attack.  More news as we get it.

In other news...

The entire city of Philadelphia was wiped out.

Ray had been waking down the street eating an ice-cream, it was just that kind of day. Of course the ice-cream was a little out there, strawberry shortcake with rainbow sprinkles, Ray was definitely not a Vanilla kind of guy. He normally ignored the hawkers and proselytizers selling cheap knock of goods or even cheaper knock off ideas, however this time he heard a strange cry, a cry that he wasn't quite sure, but could almost be a masked-man fallacy. Walking past the strange man, he reached into his pocket and withdrew the small compact Lana had gave him last Christmas. It held a small amount of sentimental value, but was small and rather plain, and he could just buy a new one, a more expensive one to replace it. Handing it to the man, he smiled and licked his ice-cream, before walking on.

"Have a nice day!"

Nicola handed a note to man who was responsible for printing the latest news paper to the streets. Inside she had written the following, "Please for the love of god find something actually interesting to write about." without checking to see if the man had read it, since she wasn't one for debates given she was a mute, she walked away.
