As the day comes to an end, Bob walks out of Frank's business, feeling full and slightly tipsy from the wine, he believes the experience overall was a enjoyable one. One thing stuck out to him though - a business card was given to him before he left the airport, it was one by a Russian name - they exchanged words as Bob was a known associate of the Chicago crew and Russian mafia were seemingly interested in taking one of the apartment buildings within the Loop, he was a middle man between a contractor company and, Ilya - the main investor. During the exchange, Ilya mentioned Franks involvment, Frank has been investing his own money into small realestate - buying tax free and then selling at an extortiate price. Ilya told him to visit Frank, for no reason - Ilya didn't even know where Frank would be, it seemed to be more of a 'pass the message on', yet Bob took no notice, as his dealings was concrete, if he had known eating exquiste food and dinings on fine wine, he wouldn't of hesitated.
Few hours later Inside of a hotel within Manhattan, Bob's luxiourious room is padded with leather and items of moderate value, throwing himself on the bed, he recieves a phone call on his nightstand. Sighing, thinking it's Linda making sure Bob is okay, he begrudgingly takes it upon himself, picking it up slowly - giving a low sigh, "Lin-(Linda)" Bob is stopped by the sound of a frantic Frank. |

Frank, in a panic, agitated, angry, almost too nervous for adjectives to describe becomes angrier hearing Bob’s voice on the other end of the phone calling him Linda. “Chi cazzo è Linda?!” He exclaims not quite remembering that Bob didn’t speak the Italian language until the sound of confusion coming across the line back at him. “Bob, Bob, is me, Frank.” He spoke on broken English. “Is about Isabella, Bob. Is about Isabella. The Russian, the Russian Bob. What do you know of this?!” Frank demanded to know what involvement he had with the disappearance of the beautiful, angelic woman whom he had hired on to be a waitress but secretly had hoped having her close he could win her affection. He never wanted to drag her into something like this, this life he led. The people he was involved with. He never meant… he never meant for her to have to suffer because of who he was. Collecting himself as Bob incoherently and through tired voice murmured on the other end of the phone, he asked again. “Bob, why Isabella, where is she?”. Frank’s voice trembled as he spoke. He stood behind the mahogany bar within his Franks at 101st establishment. His body shook with nerves and fear as he frantically tried to light a cigar from his pocket, tears filling his eyes. |

"Whoa, whoa, Frank - okay" Bob shoots with adrenaline, his body more stiff and his lumbering tone turning into a heavier more focused tone, "We can't tal-(talk)" Bob, half putting his trousers back on, while holding the phone next to his ear - the wire not stretching as far, all Frank could hear is heavy breathing and hopping in place as the bristles of hair drag friction to his waist, "We can't talk on the phone, i'll meet you on 87th street-" Bob hears frank agree and puts down the phone. Grabbing his gun and his wallet, he puts over a bathroom robe with pockets, shoving his wallet and gun in both pockets. Looking like a clean homeless man, he makes his way out of the lobby - towards the street as he whistles for a taxi, after five attempts (from his attire) he made his way down, shoving a few $20 bills towards the taxi drivers front seat. |

Frank slammed the phone down before taking a bottle of Canadian whiskey from the bar shelve behind him and smashing it against a nearby wall. He hammered both fists down as hard as he could on the bar and let out a blood curdling howl before pacing around as if he were lost. Frank knew 87th street well. His families control reached all the way to 82nd and knew the area well. “Bob thinks he can come to the city of my cousin Vincenzo? Think he s big shot mafioso from Chicago?! Sputerò sulla sua fottuta tomba!” Frank spit on the floor as he finished his his declaration. “And what nerve the fucking Russian?! I make-uh good money with him. Much money and oh, Mr. Big time Russian gangster think he can-uh fuck me?! No! No! I-uh fuck-uh him!” In a calm to the storm that was Franks rage, he was finally able to collect himself and was able to get his cigar lit. A flick of the lighter and he took a deep breath in before exhaling. He realized he had wasted so much time ranting and raving that he must leave quickly before Bob had a chance to arrive and possibly warn the Russian. If they were truly In cahoots then there would be strength in numbers if they had time to prepare then he could forget ever seeing the beautiful Isabella again. Frank walked behind the bar once more and removed a Tommy gun he kept taped to the back of the storage portion. “My dear mama, forgive me for what I may have to do. My Isabella, forgive me for what I’ve allowed to happen to you”. Frank checked to ensure the Tommy was assembled and then felt for his keys within his pocket and headed to the street to his car. He kept his tommy gun tucked under his suit jacket as he walked and as he arrived at his car began fumbling to unlock it, cursing in Italian as he struggled to get the door unlocked. “Dai! Pezzo di merda! Vaffanculo!” He exclaimed as he finally was able to unlock the door and climb inside. Placing the Tommy gun in the passenger seat so it was within grabbing distance he stuck the key in the ignition and headed on his way. As he pulled near an back alley short cut he knew, so as to try and hide his arrival he saw Bob in a… bathrobe pacing under a street light, seemingly talking to himself as he paced back and forth. “What in the fuck-uh is wrong with-uh him” he spoke in broken English. Sliding the Tommy gun under his jacket once more he shut off the ignition to his car and exited. As to not come within range of close fire from weapons or be out in the open he stood near his vehicle and called out to Bob. “Bob! Bob! It’s-uh me, Frank. If you are-uh alone, come. Come to-uh me!” Frank shouted as the sounds of the city around him seemed drowned out by his booming voice. |

As the taxi is held up, the $20 bills could only take him so far - forcing the driver to take short cuts, Bob's bathrobe sinks into liquid as it passes from the bathrobe, finally reaching his sweat pants becomming a sludge cold wetness, with pale chunks of meat and a dark yellow and green slime emanating from under him. As the taxi driver speaks in a mix of slavic and english towards Bob, contextually gaining that the driver thinks he was sick in his car, "Buddy, I wouldn't sick on myself," The taxi driver getting angry as Bob sighs, having enough, "Okay, stop this is enough - THANK you SO much," Ruffling his bathrobe to not get caught in the taxi door, he jumps out the taxi, feeling the wind from the taxi as it speeds away with reminents of slavic curses going with it, wiping his head he puts his hand on inside of his bathrobe pockets. Looking over as the clouds consume the sky and the cold touch hits New York City, the sunset over the horizon causes the lamps of the street to flicker on - the orange tinge of the sky evaporates and businesses on the street light up with the arrival of the night. Hearing a faint voice, he sees Frank - the rush of the traffick seems intense yet recklessly Bob waddling over crossing the street, - he approches Frank through the window, "Are you going to let me in?" Looking pale and cold, smelling of a vile odur and with greasy hair - Bob trys to put on a smile. |

Gripping at his tommy under his jacket Frank studies the man carefully. As much anger as Frank felt, the fear, the deafening beat of his heart, he felt conflicted about the man in front of him. “Davvero non sei il più brillante, vero?” He mumbles in Italian. Frank ashes his cigar before taking a long drawl from it, illuminating his face in the red glow of the embers. He exhales a large puff of smoke as he he walks around the automobile and opens the door, motioning to Bob to get in. Frank kept his right arm tucked to hold the weapon partly in case he needed to use it and in other part so that Bob knew he was packing and it was close to him. Once Bob made his way to the passenger side of the car and was seated, Frank backed around the front of the vehicle so he could keep his eyes on Bob as he remained seated, looking with confusion and interest as the brimmed hat fellow walked backwards around the vehicle. Once Frank had made it around the front of the hood he turned and walked to the drivers side door and entered the vehicle. “Where-uh, where-uh is Isabella Bob?” Frank spoke and butchered Bobs name. What should have sounded natural, came out as “Bo-be”. Not getting an answer fast enough for his liking Frank began to appear visibly agitated and began shouting. “Dimmi dov'è Isabella prima di metterti questa fottuta pistola così in fondo che quando ti tirerò fuori i proiettili del grilletto ti spruzzeranno dalla bocca! San Michele, aiuta la tua anima se non inizi a parlare, stupido ometto!” Frank punched his steering wheel to help compose himself as to fight the temptation of pulling his weapon and ending the man’s life who had no idea what kind of tirade he had just went on. He looks at Bob again as tears swell up in his eyes from anger, from rage, from fear of what could have happened to the beautiful, sweet Isabella who his heart raced for just upon thinking of her face but even more so now in the not knowing… the unknown fate of the woman who held his very heart…. “You got-uh two meenutes, talk! Eggsplain!” Frank again butchering the language he was still learning, slowly but surely for an immigrant only a few months into his life in America. Frank scowled angrily toward Bob as he again took a long drawl from his cigar to help calm his nerves. |

Sitting opposite Frank, Bob sits with his mouth open - the squelch from his seat mixing with the previous vomit incorperates with Frank's seats, "Hey, Frank - I wouldn't take Isabella and then ask you to meet," Bob attempts to put his hand on Franks shoulder, "Those russians are planning something, did they not leave a note or call you?" Bob pauses, moving the string his bathrobe into a more accessible postion with his free arm, "We can do this together Frank, if it was my wife - i'd act the same way." A few minutes pass as a knock on the window is heard - Bob reaches into his pocket for his gun as he winds the window down - two tall men, around 185cm bend down from the car window - wearing track suits with a farmers cap with stone cold faces stare directly towards Frank - they hand over a letter with a grin, "Chello yankees, Myi boss guives his demands, read carefully awnd you will see your bitch again," They pat Bob on the shoulders, giving him a wink - the two russians saunter off from the car, obviously following Frank as he left his place of buisness. Bob passes the letter to Frank, rolling up his window, "Hey err, Frank -" Bob stops as he see's frank open the letter. |

Frank grips at his weapon tightly with one hand as he takes the note with his other. He knew if he stepped out into the street and sprayed the two Russians with bullets he would feel better, temporarily. But what would come of Isabella if he reacted instead of planned? If he let his anger, his rage, get the better of him… Frank peered at Bob’s hand upon his shoulder and back at Bob as he watched the Russians disappear into the night from the corner of his eye. He recognized the word “wife” as Bob had spoke. He knew he had heard this word before, he knew the context and thinking of his sweet Isabella, that word… How could he ever dream of making this sweet angelic woman his wife? The life he lived… the dangers… But those were all thoughts he needed to save for another time, first he needed to focus on finding her and her captures. Saving the woman who held his heart and killing the Russian bastards who took her. He opened the letter and began to read: Mr. Castiglia, You’ve taken something of mine for too long so now, I take something of yours. Your interest in the Harlem real estate market has taken food from my table. Now, I want my just desserts. The money you’ve been making should have been mine, that section of Harlem is under my control and you had no business sticking your Guinea nose in my business! But, I am a reasonable man. I could have killed you five times by now. But it’s the money I want Frank. Not your blood. After all, I’m a business man, not a greaseball killer like you’ve come to be known on the streets. That’s right, you don’t think word hasn’t gotten around that it was you and your cousin Vincenzo who rubbed out your former boss? Quite the power move for two common street rats. This time though, there won’t be any removal of a figure head or influential cousins. If you want to see the girl alive and I assure you, she is still alive, for now. You will keep your mouth shut, no Cosa Nostra bullshit, no police, just you and the money. You deliver what’s owed to me and walk away from the Harlem real estate game with your word you’ll keep your hands off my money, you and the girl go free and we shake hands and seal it with vodka. You try any funny business? We’ll put you in the same watery grave you stuck your former Boss. Meet us at 134 mulberry street, lower Manhattan. It’s the old abandoned olive oil warehouse that Luciano once used to move bootlegged liqueur across the city. Isabella will be waiting. Though, the longer we wait for you to arrive, the less likely she keeps her innocence. She is a beauty Frank, you may not be smart but you have excellent taste in women. Warmest Regards, Fuck you Frank grew enraged as he read the letter, he crumbled it up and threw it across the dash of the car before beating his hands into his steering wheel and rocking back and forth angrily. “Money?? The money??” He shouted as took his left hand and slammed it into the car door interior. “Ti darò più dei soldi! Cazzo grasso russo!” He shouted as he shook the car with the motion of his body. Frank turned to Bob and looked at him perhaps as his only hope at making this work at this particular point. “Bob, I-uh need-uh you. I got-uh no-uh other option. We-uh are gunn-uh have ta kill-uh these-uh Russian fucks! I have-uh the address. We need-uh plan!”. Frank fumbled through his suit jacket for another cigar and lit it as his hands shook and he collapsed backwards into his seat, bending his neck back as he stared toward the roof of the car. He knew if he walked into the warehouse to give the Russian figurehead what he wanted, he wouldn’t walk back out. Neither would Isabella. His life, he would trade for hers. But knowing his alone wouldn’t satisfy the Russian fuck, there must be a plan, he must collect himself and do this right to save Isabella. |

Shocked and full of adrenaline - and other sordid entities under his undergarments. He passes the letter towards Frank as he begins to read over-head, Frank looking shocked, angry, tired, and full of adrenaline in all one paragraph. Bob wipes his head full of sweat and moves to adjust his seating arrangement - the squish and squibbles of his wet trousers fill the silence and the masked tears from Frank. As frank talks to him in broken English, bob takes out his gun - flicking the cylinder, all five bullets spin with it, "These have five bullets? In the movies it's always six - i usually count with every shot and-(They always go over six)" Bob cuts out as it's not the time for his anecdotes, but when really is it. Bob with a serious face looks at frank, "We can do this - I already know most of the ports they bribe to bring in more of their men, with more of their money - I can help you with making sure the son-of-a-bitch doesn't get away, with his life or his money," Bob looks with somewhat arched eyebrows, his mustache somewhat fades as he says this - almost like his alter-ego flairs, "We haven't got much time, you take another car - don't use this one," Bob pausing as he takes a whiff, "i'll grab the some low-level thugs that i know around this area," Bob takes himself outside the car, putting his hand on the car roof, "They owe me for putting all their food on tabs, if they don't want to pay - they'll work for the best burger in town." Bob pausing, closing his eyes before giving out a sigh, "I'm sorry frank" |
