Frank finished flipping the sign around to open. Today was a proud day. One that he had dreamed of since making his journey to America upon the boat from Italy. “Make sure the packages are labeled! Just because this is a front doesn’t mean we are sloppy!” Frank shouted at one of his men. Today began the new business venture and a step forward in this thing of ours for Frank. He had been given the blessing to start his own family and his Castiglia Shipping Company would be at the forefront of everything legal and illegal coming in and out of the New York harbor. Business was looking up and so was his stature when it came to this life. “Make sure they see the slogan! The slogan!” Frank shouted at another associate as he hung a banner in the window of the warehouse store front. “Make sure they can see it! If you can make it fit, we’ll make sure it ships! No questions asked! It is catchy? No?” He asked another associate as he beamed with pride. Frank turned to notice a small crowd of his fellow Mafioso gathered around, wishing him well and asking questions about his new business venture. “Ladies and gentleman, thank you all for coming and wishing me well as today I open Castiglia Shipping Company here in the Bronx. We are set up for all of your import and export needs. No matter what, as my beautiful banner says, If you can make it fit, we’ll make sure it ships! No questions asked. For my fellow Mafioso gathered here, that parts especially important.” Frank chuckles heartily. “While it is never a cause for celebration when a member of this thing of ours steps down, let us celebrate the new beginning and new opportunity here in the Bronx. I am beyond excited for the opportunity to grow not just business here in the Bronx but in all of New York along with my counterparts in the other two districts. I also look forward to working with our other leaders across this great land of ours. No matter where you come from, what affiliation, know that Castiglia Shipping Company is here to ensure your investments, your comings and goings are handled with care and protected! For a small fee of course, why else are we in this business after all?!” Frank chuckles along with others in the crowd. “So with that being said, feel free to open a bottle, light a smoke and let’s celebrate the way only Mafioso can!”. Frank steps forward and greets and begins conversing with those gathered in the Bronx today for this unveiling. |
