Frank Sinatra's Grand Finale Started by: Frank_Sinatra on Sep 15, '22 15:07

At the height of his career, it was rumored that “every woman wants to have him; every man wants to be him.” Its not only his fans that wanted a piece of Old Blue Eyes...

Sinatra's ties to known Mafia members and a revolving cast of characters connected to the underworld and not to mention organized crime figures paved way to one of the most fond and memorable evening performance ever at the Grand Opera House located the heart of South Philly. Invitations were personally handed out to powerful figures, politicians, state senates, judges, from Godfathers and Godmothers, to Dons and Bosses, and even ranks below.

Everyone were all dressed in glam. Underworld crime lords were definitely dressed to kill, Suits with fedora hats were a must, double breasted coat to keep themselves warm, smoking cigars while waiting to be ushered into the opera house. Some can be seen with thick scarfs around their neck to top it off. The ladies put on their most glamorous evening gowns, eloquent in class, glittering with all sorts of jewelleries on them, adding lively colours to the attendees who were being slowly guided into the auditorium by young elegant ushers dressed in white top and black pants.

The walkways heading towards the enterance of the auditorium were well lit with crystal crown shaped chandeliers hanged every few feet. Red thick velvet carpet was laid for the path that leads to the massive oak wood door that had its knobs and handles gold platted, making every single attendee felt VIP indeed. The sight of the auditorium was grand. It looked like a huge dome with high ceilings made of semi tinted glass panels overlooking the night skies. Huge long red velvet curtains hanged from the ceiling, draped to the floor. The thick velvet red cushioned seats matches the color of the curtains. VIP seating on the upper decks were given to the crime world's finest Uppers so they get to feel Sinatra's performance up front and close. The mahagony wooden flooring for the stage compliments its luxurious ambience. As dozens of warm lighted mega spotlights began to shine down towards the stage, the lights in other parts of the auditorium began to dim..

Frank Sinatra was nervous at first, just lookin at the large number of audience in front of him, hungry for his performance. But the thunderous claps gave him confidence. He looked behind, backed by a strong team of 20 orchestra members.. he took a long deep breath to calm down.. and began his performance, one that gave goosebumps to the audience, others teared hearing his beautiful voice in tuned with the all time favorite song...

And now the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case of which I'm certain
I've lived a life that's full
I've travelled each and every highway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way

Regrets I've had a few
But then again too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption
I planned each chartered course
Each careful step along the by-way
And more, much more than this
I did it my way

Yes, there were times
I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all
And I stood tall
And did it my way

I've loved, I've laughed, and cried
I've had my fill, my share of losing
And now, as tears subside
I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way
"Oh no, oh no, not me
I did it my way"

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself then he has naught
To say the things he truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows

And I did it.... My..... Way........

The thunderous claps dont seemed to stop now, the sound from it rocked the whole auditorium, Sinatra had received a standing ovation as the audiences began to rise up on their feet.. He placed his fedora hat over his chest, holding the hat by the crown of it, a sign of appreciation, respect and gratitude for those who have attended his performance. As he bowed down.. dozens of bouquet of flowers were thrown on the stage the crowd were definitely pleased with this one. Indeed, a memorable show. Tips began raining in for Frank Sinatra, as show of support for him as he embarked on a new journey of becoming a mafia after the bereavement of his beloved friend, Salvatore-Luciano.. Grazie Di Tutto.. It was... LEGEN.............WAIT FOR IT......DARY!!!! LEGENDARY!!

Fresh off his visit to the Chicago Dinner Party, Barney had flown to Philadelphia for another business deal. Justice always had more work to be done and kept the dinosaur hustling all hours of the day. Yet, he still managed to find occasional gaps for entertainment. He had finally had a taste of luxury in Chicago and he could get used to that lifestyle. Before hopping on the flight, Justice gave Barney a shiny, new button and it was time to celebrate in style.

Through the grapevine, Barney had heard of a performance that evening from @Frank-Sinatra. He made a few phone calls in Philly and was able to secure a VIP seat. He left the fedora in his apartment and opted for a black bowtie instead. Surely that would be swanky enough to impress the other guests. Making his way into the Grand Opera House, they escorted him down into the VIP section. The employees had kindly set aside multiple seats to accommodate his unnecessarily large tail. He had been making small talk with the surrounding guests, before @Frank-Sinatra took the stage.

Barney listened with eager anticipation and rose to his feet after the performance. A tremendous song, but an excellent performer. It got him thinking. Maybe they could collaborate together on a song. A world-class superstar and a fun-loving dinosaur? That combo could be electric. Barney flagged down the nearest manager and passed her a note.

"Please make sure this finds @Frank-Sinatra in his dressing room. I would love to work with him in the future," Barney said, slipping her a $20 bill in the process.

Paddy was wanderin' around the streets havin' heard his buddy Frank was gonna finally show off his pipes. The stinkin' stanky Pitruzzello fello' found hisself wanderin' in through the backdoor. He had made a name for hisself within the music industry of this thing of ours, family had held a whole revolution in Texas based around the simple idea of locally produced music bein'a better'n what was shoved in our earholes on a daily basis.

Paddy shuffles through the busy backstage area, men and women are settin' up for the show. Catchin' him before he has to go on, Padd wanders up to Frank_Sinatra and shakes his hand. A stack of bills wadded up inside his hand as he goes in for the handshake. Frank catches the hand off perfectly. Paddy raises an eyebrow with a smile as he watches Frank pocket the cash.

"Glad I could make it here on time!" Paddy smiles, his black bandana hangin' from his neck. Paddy the stinkiest grower of dankidy-dank sinatra wanders off to go find his chair. The man with many names but always prefers the old Reckless nickname of his forefathers watches the performance intently.

As it ends Paddy stands up and applauds like a mad man.

The moment he saw the note on the table in his dressing room signed by Barney, Sinatra immediately recalled seeing someone dressed head to toe in purple Swuit from the VIP section, the only one in that color as a matter of fact!!!

Sinatra had a hunch Barney may be heading out to the airport to catch the next flight out because of his ever so busy schedule.

Sinatra ran out while wearing his double breasted coat, removed his fedora hat and hailed "Taxi!!!!".. "Airport now make it snappy will ya"

Wasnt too hard finding someone dressed all in purple swuit. Sinatra caught up to Barney from behind, close enough to hear whispers and sang

"I love you
You love me
We're a happy family..
With a great big hug!
And a kiss from me to you
Wont you hug Sinatra too!"

Barney turned around, caught by suprise with a tight hug from Sinatra. That warm fuzzy feeling cant help but made Sinatra felt like he knows the one in the purple swuit, someone close and dear.

"Ive seen you on tv! Its an honor to know you came even on a tight schedule. Heck! Im suprised you didnt steal my show! Anyways hows my song for ya just now?? If we can be onstage together, that'll be somethin aint it. Lemme know the grand opening of Barney Booze ya. Imma be there, heard you got a stage set up, i might just come out of retirement and sing a song or two to attract more customers, not that you need it with the fame and glory you already have!!! Have a safe trip now Barney. I'll catch up with ya soon!"

To catch PaddyPitruzzello handshake and be receiving that much amount cash definitely stunned Sinatra for a moment there. The surroundings was too loud to have a quick chat with Boss Reckless.

After Sinatra was done performing, he did remind himself to catch up with PaddyPitruzzello cos the star himself will be busy making music back in texas.

"Aye Boss Reck!!" Sinatra shook PaddyPitruzzello with both hands, hugged him and gave a pat over his shoulders.

"Glad you could make it to the show sir! Boy am i glad to see ya! Seeing good ol faces around makes me less nervous ya know? Thank you for being generous!"

Handed a cigar to Boss Reck and light it up for him. They had a quick pow wow session, reminiscing the good ol times and the Book of USS O'Reillyy

"Hey PaddyPitruzzello, just know the book means lot to me comin from ya. Thats love there brotha. Lemme know if you need anything, i'll be there"

They shook hands and quick hug bidding goodbyes
