I know YOUR thoughts

I know what you're all thinking.  Why have the Streets been quiet?  Well, perhaps because through no fault of their own, many experienced organised crime figures have gotten fed up with members of my lineage giving speeches denouncing others, or writing highly effective eulogies for persons who, at that time, were still alive, but who died shortly afterwards.

So I understand, I really do, that you don't want a thriving Fareham press, or speeches, let alone surveys and competitions.

But we all suffer without them (the components of a thriving Streets culture).

I recently traced my family free, and since the first recorded ancestral foot set on these shores, I am the 500^th of my clan.

FIVE HUNDRED

Five.  Hundred.

Five hundred.

Yes, half a thousand have walked these Streets.  I will be the first to announce, and denounce, the infamous among those 500.  I wish they had never been born.

But I decided, with the honour of the five hundredth Fareham, to fulfil a fantastic future by fittingly fulminating.

So, to order.   I am not going to claim the Leader of the Streets crown.  But I do intend to lead the Streets.

I Predict a Riot

My boss is a good man, operating a good crew, in a good city.  But now that I'm known as a Fareham, the fingers will point.  People will invent assassination attempts, claim to have witness murders, to have me killed.  But my son, or his son, or the thousandth Fareham, will again restore the Streets to a place worth of the title of Leader.

That is my wish.  That is your destiny.

Frank C mate you're screaming to a hushed crowd and quite frankly in the minority.  Look around, I did a quick tally as people were running by and 5 or 6 of the oldest 168 days or older senior citizen members of our world have taken to our streets a combined 20 times 10 of which are responses to flyers and posts from 1 person. The streets are not a thriving nor needed part of world, they are resorted to quick glances as we sneak between Corner Store Heists and breaking our favorite ladies or gentleman of the night out of prison.  

Long gone are the days of a thriving street where change is affected, and wars are started and ended. You want to be "Leader of the Streets" that's awesome but who and what are you leading? You mentioned things your family has done and said in the past - it isn't new Old - Real OLD SCHOOL families have done that and set the standards Families like Teq's lineage, Lia_Vazzi, Raghnall, Squire and so many more. Whole crews were derived and built on activity and commitment to our streets with leaders like Father John and Brandy, underground movements like Black Hand and Rogues like Brian Aero and MrEvilman depending on how you viewed him. All causing stir by their actions that lead to street gatherings good or bad. 

Leaders long ago stopped being judged worthy or deemed adequate based on their presence in the streets. Crews have not been held to a standard on gatherings held by them. As it should be, because at the end of the day a leader is truly judged by the safety they provide and the opportunity they afford their members to make money. Crews are respected on their strength and tactical acumen not their voices. 

The streets are not needed at all my friend, not when another poor shop owners opens his doors wearing a blindfold every 3 blocks and a friend is jailed every 20 steps....

Not sure in the 50 days I've been on these shores that I've seen anyone denounce the idea of another newspaper. I believe you could be very entertaining but need some work on your approach.

A CLs job is not to maintain a street presence..it is the family's job to maintain a presence in the street for their CL. Just because someone talks a lot makes them a good leader? You know better than that. I've read journals where there were a lot of great street speeches..these days folks like to gather in cafes or boxing gyms..times change. 

I too would like to see more activity with speeches or random folks on the corner telling us their lineage..but that's up to the people..not either of our opinions. Now if you'll excuse me, it's rum o'clock.

Outkast, I will publish a regular newspaper at the cost of 2.5 million dollars per edition, to be transferred in two equal payments before (as down payment) and after publication (to complete the transaction). Deal?

I have been approached by the spokesperson for an anonymous benefactor (Outkast?). 

It is clear the community craves news, primarily in the form of a paper, nearly as much as they yearn for a competition from the best lineage to ever run them.

As a man of the people, I hear you, I am listening.

I will give you what you clamour for, you brutes.

My lineage has been at the epicentre of all the good newspapers in "This Thing of Ours".

Isabella and I were discussing this storied history recently. I can't say too much about it at this stage as negotiations are ongoing.

There was talk about an $8m payment being made for services rendered. 

Perhaps she is the anonymous benefactor?
