One Snowy Christmas Eve Started by: Hazel on Dec 23, '22 17:09

Large snowflakes fell from the grumpy grey sky and stuck to the windows of the Xenogenesis HQ where Hazel sat wrapped in a large blanket surrounded by an assortment of letters strewn about in chaos. She sipped her coffee and shook her hand out, it had begun to cramp after all of the Christmas letters she had been writing. Hazel had sat for hours at this point, writing word after word, trying to put her feelings on parchment.

Hazel had never been much of a verbal appreciator of her friends and family, but when it came to the holidays, she always wanted to make sure they knew what they meant to her. Making little gift baskets for each of her friends, she decided to write a cute little Christmas card to send with them. Glancing over at the crew's gift baskets she smiled that kind of smile that only Christmas can bring. Hiro_Nakamura was going to be so excited about all of the snacks. Not to mention, Hazel may or may not have slipped her favorite bottle of bourbon into PlagueDoctor 's basket.

Sitting along the bar-top of the HQ, she had lined out gifts for her family members. She had made them all a yummy little snack basket filled with only the best goodies and new scarves and hats that she had handstitched their names into.

Standing up, she began to stretch and winced as her bones cracked and protested being stuck in one spot for too long. Once she had adjusted back to being a moving, functioning human once more, she gathered up her papers, and began to stuff them into envelopes. In the nicest handwriting she could muster, Hazel began placing the cards in their appropriate baskets.

"One for Isabella, one for LorenzoAdler, one for Nuccio, and one for Marcus_Aurelius..." Hazel mumbled to herself as she stuck the cards to those baskets as well as several more that she had already made.

After all the baskets were complete, she stood back and put her hands on her hips to admire her fine work. She hoped that they all enjoyed them as much as she had enjoyed putting them together.

Hazel nodded. "Right. Now to figure out how many trips this is going to take to get these all sent out..." Hmm, perhaps she didn't think this all the way through.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight!
