LiquidFareham is getting popular, and rich (with awards to be handed) out with his Competitive Quiz.

He claims to have the backing of the shadowy Competition Committee, though they never confirm or deny their own existence.

Has Fareham eclipsed competitive writing with competitive quizzing?  He has many questions.  

AN OPEN CITY: DEBATE RAGES

@Conceptulist's concept for an Open City continues to gain traction.  Like it be like the Las Vegas experiment and become the main show in town, or will it become like Systematic Immolation of Thought, and gain a slow, steady, but freakishly dedicated and loyal following?  Or will it become like the nadir of the Competitive Writing Community and implode in its own death toll?  These are many questions.

MERCURY MURDERED - WHODUNNIT?

The previous generation had the mystery of the Lincoln_Lawyer related murder of LostBoy, a murder which led to scores of reprisal killings.  This time, we have Mercury - one of the hardest working lineages in this thing of ours, shot dead.  Mercury's grandmother, also called Mercury, had reached the threshold to become a Godmother when she was shot and killed in mysterious circumstances.  Described at the time as a "hate crime" by someone who bears a close resemblance to Doc-Holliday, Mercury Sr's murder remains shrouded in mystery.  One witness at the time, intimidated into silence, saw someone of Kuku lineage fire a shot at someone of the Grin lineage - crucially, this murder attempt was prior to Mercury Sr being killed.  Did someone persuade Grin that Mercury Sr was working for Kuku?  We may never know.  But we should ask the difficult questions.  Many questions.

tutte is doing great work around the community.

Some of that work is waste management.

You should be thanking them, not accusing them of such a thing as murder.

IS THIS A WAR ON NEWS?

Another dead journalist and more victim-blaming. When will this violence end? Should the Competition Commission step in to monitor Newspapers? Maybe! As we've come to learn from the Conceptualist's 'Open City' debate an individual's moral code is only held in place by their city's rules. 

Or is there something more nefarious going on under the surface of the waters. 

At any rate, it is nice to see the Competitive Newspaper Writing circuit is getting started again. Hope to see more papers in the future. 

Morgan - were whispers left?  Can we say definitively that it was _not_ The Plumbers? 

Yes a whisper was left. It was total bullshit but it was left. It mentioned her RH trying to talk to Mercury and failing. It was the rambling of a crazy woman.

The real shame was my aunt Mercury was a great old friend of Isabella's right up until Isabella burnt that bridge.
