As Parallelogram stands on the soap box wearing his customary blue bow-tie, he begins his speech by discussing the importance of communication within the Mafia, and how much is too much from a Don like Marcus_Aurelius.

"You see, in my experience, my Don does not speak privately to me at all. When I mailed him asking for an invite, and he didn't even reply, he just sent the invite, this set the tone for our discourse going forward. So when I sent him a donation of $500,000 and he didn't acknowledge it, I expected that. I probably would have been offended if he had thanked me for it. 'Doesn't he have more important things to do, like auth announcements?' I would think."

Parallelogram paused to let his message sink in to the many bystanders. 

"Now, some of you may think that this lack of communication is a problem, but I want to argue that this level of zero communication is actually the best amount of communication between a boss and an underling like me. You see, a Don like Marcus_Aurelius is a busy man, and he is focused on important tasks and responsibilities that are vital to the success of our organization. By not getting bogged down with minor issues and distractions like replying to every message or acknowledging every donation, a Don like Marcus_Aurelius is able to make important decisions and keep the organization running smoothly."

As he speaks, Parallelogram is calm and composed. He speaks with confidence and conviction, and his tone and body language convey a sense of authority and certainty. He believes what he's saying and is sure of his argument. He is not bothered by Marcus_Aurelius lack of communication, he understands that the Don is focused on more important matters.

"Unless it is a mass mail about an important auth announcement, I don't think I should be spoken to at all by my family upper structure. What do you think?"

As a person of higher authority, I prefer to talk to my associates on a one to one basis, through my guidence to a life of crime or acknowledgement that the things that my associates do on a daily basis actually make a difference, maybe i'm soft. Everyone has their own way to run their business so i don't think it's bad to discriminate those whose approach to a 'business' is 'When i talk to you, it matters', which i can respect.
