It has been an eventful few days, hasn't it? We have seen the fall of Don Cheeso, our beloved friend and leader of New York. We have also seen the fall of Consigliere El_Nino of The Lost Souls. We have seen the opening of AngelicalDeath's HQ in Los Angeles. We have seen many, many deaths. These are enormous events within our world, ones I'm sure you'll all be rushing off to submit articles to the thriving Mafia Tribune about. Yes. I was going to come out and explain to you the legitimate reasons for this conflict. Before I get to that, I would like to praise our beloved Cheese for his fine stewardship of the six cities and remind everyone references shall still be mandatory. Whilst on the topic of PrinceOfCheese, the response to his passing in his funeral and the most popular coffeeshop, was both shameful and disgusting, although not entirely surprising. We have long since become familiar with the desperate cries of delight uttered by our failed, defeated and incompetent enemies. Usually they are loudest at our setbacks, which lest we forget they had no involvement in whatsoever. As I mentioned I had hoped to come before the assembled masses to deliver our reasons for war, which would, of course, be doubtlessly rejected by the civilian forms of our previously referenced failed, defeated and incompetent enemies. This however, will not be occurring. My dear friends in a popular coffeeshop seem convinced that CP are ruining this world, yet they have lost track of what it even is. This is Mafia Returns. Amazingly I do not associate letting unaffiliated Gangsters commit crimes in my city part of this concept. Similarly I do not think Made Man Mike should get a crew just to placate then in the twisted and wholly unrealistic perception of the world they have. Yet, despite being a horrible set of individuals, hell bent on crushing this world we compromise. We give you a 48 hour rule. We auth people to potentially house the new bloodlines. We punish rule breakers. We give opportunities to those who bother to make any sort of effort. We introduce leaders and Captains who the community want. We tolerate your continued and pathetic whining in the streets and the coffeeshops and work with you in spite of this to provide what you would like. It still is not enough. Don Cheese did all he could to strike a balance between surviving and providing the people of this community with what they wanted. I saw the reaction he got for this when he fell. I, nor my fellow leaders shall be following in his footsteps. Consider the reason for El_Nino's passing to be our paranoia. Consider the reason for El_Nino's passing being a grab for the trade from the Los Angeles business district. Consider the reason for El_Nino's passing his position on the 60-second list. He was to the left of me and that was really starting to get on my nerves. Be careful guys, left of Numbers4Glory is dangerous territory. I don't care. We will no longer answer to you. The age of compromise is over. The six cities will be run by the Mafia and we will act as mafioso once again. |

As I look around the streets, I see the jubilant enemies of the late PrinceofCheese all joining together to congratulate themselves. But for what? I do not know, as Numbers4Glory has pointed out, the demise of the Prince was not their doing. Over the tops of the cheers and jeers, Numbers stands up and delivers his speech to the masses. Cheers die down and people look up, still grinning at their so called accomplishment. As the speech progresses, the smiles begin to fade, the silence is deafening. Numbers4Glory: "I don't care. We will no longer answer to you. The age of compromise is over. The six cities will be run by the Mafia and we will act as mafioso once again." I look around and the happy protesters are no longer happy, no longer cheering and no longer smiling. The temperature seems to have dropped, the tension almost visible. "Numbers4Glory is going to be a badass!" |

Tommy approaches N4G, before he can leave the meeting and extends a firm handshake. "We've never met before. My names Tommy DiNunzio. I'm from out West..I'm with Ellis. But i really needed to shake your hand and tell you that it was a..," Tommy searches for the right word, "..a REIEF to hear somebody finally saying something important around here, something that makes perfect sense. I'm sorry that good people had to die in order for us all to really think about it. But I want you to know that people are listening, not all of us are out there bitching and taking whatever we can without a thought of loyalty or..or history. Some of us are eager to learn and to fall in line and to be a part of something, somethings that's bigger and more sacred than any one of us. I just wanted you to know that." And with that, Tommy leaves this very busy man to do what he must. |

Looks to his right and notices his boss a few feet over Ummm, ahhh I guess this puts me in dangerous territory, good job I'm working for you and not anyone else. lights up a smoke and sighs All kidding aside, whether you loved Don Cheese or not the displays in his funeral were completely ridiculous. He got to where he was by doing things many other CL's have done in the past, he worked to maintain and protect his family and went out of his way to help further this community. Woo many among us feel they are able to run their mouth off after someone has died and then come back once more to try again. Bloodline hunted is not acceptable but maybe it is time to start keeping a check on those who continues to abuse the system. |

| Don't kid yourself SmokingKills, bloodlines are hunted - not necessarily killed but hunted. I totally agree with N4G's statement regarding the posts at POC's funeral, time and again we have seen this and is should never be done or tolerated. However I would argue with his reasons regarding the supposed general dislike of CP, I believe in most cases it has nothing to do with power but the treatment and the way people are spoken to by some of the group that leads to a lot of the dissatisfaction, tho of course there will always be those who disagree with any group being in power | |

Oh believe me I've a fair idea that certain lines are watched more closely than others. But well it's always been publicly noted that it's a practice that is not accepted by many and that those who come to our shores are to be given a clean slate from what their bloodlines have done. I'm not so naive to think that they aren't, I just feel that now is maybe the time to big it more to the front that this kind of behaviour will be met with a harsh hand. I for one welcome the fact that N4G has stated that we are going back to the ways of the mafia. |
