As a private investigator, I have been hired to uncover the truth behind the SUDDEN and UNEXPECTED death of Alcestis, one of the most powerful and feared mafia Dons in the city.  After conducting a thorough investigation, I have come to the conclusion that her death was most likely a combination of MANY DIFFERENT FACTORS.

Firstly, Alcestis had made a lot of enemies over the years due to her ruthless and cunning tactics in running her criminal empire. Many rival gangs and individuals saw her as a threat and would have likely wanted her out of the picture.  I sure did, she was getting UNCOMFORTABLY close to my BROTHER, JAMESBAXTER who MAY, OR MAY NOT have had a hand in her death.

Secondly, Alcestis was known to have a fondness for risky investments, which had landed her in hot water with some shady individuals. It is possible that one of these individuals may have had a hand in her death, seeking revenge for their financial losses.

Finally, I cannot overlook the possibility of internal conflicts within the mafia organization.  Alcestis was known to have a tight-knit inner circle, but with power and wealth, comes GREED and JEALOUSY.  It is possible that one of her own trusted associates may have turned against her in a power grab.

To summarize, the death of Alcestis is complex and I believe that it is a combination of these factors that have UNFORTUNATELY led to her untimely death.  Please though citizens, It is important to note that my investigation is still ongoing and I will continue to gather evidence and interview witnesses to uncover the truth behind this tragedy.

Jayme turns from the crowd, and, dodging the word vomit escaping Tutte's mouth, jumps into the back of the waiting limousine which WHISKS her away to a SECRET location.

Alcestis retired.  She was a friend of JamesBaxter yes, but who's to say James didn't keep her from retirement for some time?

James doesn't have many friends and is rude to a lot of people, even those who send him cash money, so maybe he really tried hard with her.
