Kimmy had tried to escape her past before, but it had always been there, lurking in the shadows, waiting to pull her back in. She had a dangerous upbringing, but she was born into it and didn’t know any better. Sadly. Her mother was a high-ranking member of the organization. Kimmy had seen things that no child should ever see - violence, corruption, and a level of greed that seemed to know no bounds. But as she got older, Kimmy realized that she could no longer be a part of the mafia. She wanted to live a life of honesty and integrity, far away from the world of organized crime. So, she left her family and the mafia behind, hoping to start anew. For years, she lived a quiet life, working as a receptionist and doing babysitting on the side. But the past had a way of catching up with her, and soon, she received a telegram from an old mobster friend. The mafia was recruiting. At first, Kimmy was hesitant. She had left the mafia for a reason - she didn't want to be a part of that world anymore. But as she thought about it more, she realized that she had a unique opportunity to help the organization from the inside. Plus, she was barely surviving at her current job. So, Kimmy returned to the mafia, mentally and physically preparing herself to help with their various needs. She met the wonderful Jalissa and successfully landed a spot in The Damnation. On the first day at the HQ, Kimmy began to realize that the mafia was not the same as it had been when she was a child. The violence and corruption seemed to be even more pervasive than before, and Kimmy knew that even with her previous mafia knowledge she still had a lot to learn and discover. |

Tony walked into the local speakeasy with a lit cigarette clenched between his teeth. His dark eyes darted around the room; scoping out the joint for any potential friends or foes and checking the exits just in case the law decided to make a surprise visit and break up the festivities. The swinging sound of the jazz band filled the air and the smell of cigar smoke and cheap booze began to set him at ease. Tony had been running with the Damnation crew for only a couple days now and everything was so big and new he rarely felt like he had time to relax, but somehow the smell of cigars always calmed his nerves and a couple shots every now and then certainly helped to keep him steady. As he approached the bar he noticed a somewhat familiar face sitting down a ways down. She was a pretty enough dame but she seemed somewhat sullen as she thoughtfully stared into the bottom of her glass. Finally Tony seemed to recall a girl matching her description that the Boss' left hand, Jalissa, had taken on only shortly after Scissors had recruited him. He wondered how a seemingly lovely young woman like her had gotten mixed up in the world of crime and after ordering his whiskey he figured he'd ask her himself. Standing from the bar he threw down a couple dollars from his wad of stolen cash and told the bartender gruffly to "keep the change" before walking over to the woman, drink in hand. She seemed not to even notice him as he approached and so, removing his cigarette case from his coat pocket, he said in his most friendly tone, "Care for a smoke, Miss?" |

Kimmy sat alone at the bar, sipping her drink and surveying the dimly lit room. As a member of a local mafia crew, her job was to keep tabs on any potential threats or opportunities that might arise. As she scanned the crowd, she noticed a man eyeing her from few bar stools away. He was well-dressed and looked like he had money to burn. Kimmy honestly didn't care much to spark a conversation, but she was always on the lookout for new friendships, so she decided to hear him out. The man sauntered up to her and asked if she'd like a smoke. Kimmy played along, the corners of her mouth turning up into a small smile. "Sure, thanks." As they chatted, the man began to reveal more about himself. She nodded, before introducing herself - "I'm Kimmy, by the way." Suddenly, she heard a commotion from the other side of the bar. One of the bar goers was in a scuffle with some guys outside. Trouble. After the chaos died down, Kimmy looked at her new friend, her eyes tired and needing sleep. "It's getting late..." |

Tony smirked, the woman was obviously in no mood for his company, "Of course, of course, just thought I might introduce myself since we're both working in these parts together." He extended his hand sincerely "My name's Tony, Tony Spatafore. But everyone just calls me Sleek. I'll be seeing you around, Kimmy." After taking her hand he drained his drink and went off to find the source of the violence they had overhead to check if there were any unconscious patrons in need of a lighter wallet. |

Before he could step out the bar, she caught up to him and tapped him on the shoulder. "Don't bother, Sleek. Just a bunch of thugs not worth our time, and they aren't much of a threat." She finished the rest of her drink and walked out into the cold anyway. She was just about to head home. However, the moral compass in her just didn't want to leave her new friend with the trouble. She approached the violent outsiders, her hand ready to take out her gun from its strap. "Let him go, or eat shit. Which one would you prefer?" She looked at the men seriously and before they could snap a retort she raised her pointer finger, waving it from side-to-side slowly. “Uh, uh, uh. What did I say.” Her gun was already half way out the strap, just one more move threatening her to fully unload on these guys. She was bit of a hot head - admittedly. |

Sleek took the moment of confusion and fear as an opportunity to draw his own piece and step towards Kimmy while pointing his gun at his would be assailants. " Aw Hell, I woulda had em!" He said with a half calked grin on his face, feigning ironic bravado.
"On the other hand I suppose I owe you a debt of gratitude for saving me the cost in lead on account of I woulda had't've killed a couple of em" Sleek nodded towards her with sincere appreciation for her being there. His face then hardened as he turned back towards the men and pistol whipped one of them to the ground and pointed the pistol at the terrified loser. It was apparent that he had up until now this man had spent his whole life pointing his pistol at other people having never experienced life on the other end of the gun. Sleek could never abide by that. "Up to you now what we do what the 'em now, for end should I spend the lead anyway and we dump em in the re iver or just empty their pockets and we'll forget this whole thing happened?" |

It was clear that these guys had caved in. They were done for. Kimmy looked towards Sleek thinking over his question. "I'm okay with the latter... as long as they've learnt their lesson this time." She glanced towards the man whose face was directly behind Sleek's gun, his legs shaking in fear. She violently rummaged through his pockets before finding a wad of cash and stuffed it in her handbag. Then she kneed him in the you-know-where. A painful groan came out of the man's mouth. She shook her head in disappointment, seeing him slowly sink to the ground probably wishing he would rather die then get another knee to the private parts. "I don't want to ever see your face around these parts. You hear me? You're pathetic y'know, threatening a poor man who is just trying to survive out here." Kimmy sighed and placed her hands around Sleek's gun, gesturing for him to bring it down slowly and face it away from the thugs. "We're good here now." |

Sleek hooted as he dusted off his coat from the dust acquired in his scuffle with the goons, shaking his head in disbelief. "You sure know how to make an impression, Kimmy. My sincerest thanks." He bowed earnestly and graciously; he might have thought himself as a tough guy he had no qualms about being saved when he needed saving, not even by a woman. He pocketed his piece and began to inspect his body for wounds; there were a couple bumps on his head from where their leader had clunked him with a pistol and his pants were a little worse for wear from the fall, but he was fine all things considered. Pocketing his piece he turned back towards his savior. "Seems I bit off a little more than I could chew, never expected them to be carrying. I owe you one, truly." He extended his hand to shake hers', beaming with delight that he was still breathing. He pulled out another cigarette from his now slightly dented holder and lit it with a match. "You gotta tell me, where on earth did a girl like you learn to be so damn scary?" |

She laughed graciously, waving her hand in the air. "I'm committed to the role!" The night was starting to get cold all of a sudden and she wrapped the cardigan around herself tighter, while the smell of his lit cigarette filled the air between them. She felt sleepy, but at the same time energized. The realization that she might be keeping him from his bedtime sank into her and she sincerely apologized. "Hey, it's been super busy at the HQ this week... you must be so tired as well. Bye for now?" Her mind was running purely on lack of sleep. On top of that, she hadn't even had her first meal of the day yet. Kimmy called it a night and hailed a cab back to her apartment, knowing she will feel much better once she hopped into bed tonight. |
