I was strolling down OOC Avenue before, just draizing it up np, when someone shouted at me "THEY'RE LAUGHING IT YOU." Being a naturally inquisitive chap, I turned round to see the cause of the ruckus, and imagine my surprise when I spied my good friend Squishy looking slightly nonplussed. Overcoming the urge to sing 'Wizard of Oz' songs, I patiently waited to hear the reason for such a tirade. Now, there's not point in me rehashing what Squishy said, that would be fairly redundant of me, but the overall gist was that the scammers are laughing at you. Here's another novel thought, I'm laughing at you too; and so too should anyone with half a brain. Don't get me wrong, if you're paying for a service such as crackdowns, lotteries or suits and some little wankytwatter absconds with your money, sure, I can empathise with you there. Christ, I'd probably sympathise too. But if you willingly give over cash to a complete stranger without any sort of initiative on your side, and are then shocked and upset when you never see it again, you've got to be missing a little up top, especially if you don't have any sort of insurance for it. Perhaps I'm coming across as more than a little abrasive and harsh about this, but when it gets to the stage where a City Hall official takes to the streets as a result of people complaining to him that they've been scammed, it's just ridiculous. I am personally affronted that some of you call yourselves Mobsters. You are complaining because you lack the intelligence, insight and intuition to realise when someone is having a piss up at your expense. Also note the irony that a criminal is bitter that they've been done like a kipper. To the more experienced mafiosos among us; it's you I'm sore at. Scammers have been around since the year dot, you should realise when you are being taken for a ride. If you still haven't learnt your lesson in all the time you've been here, perhaps it's time for a career change. To the newer blood among us; most of us get scammed once, that's how we learn from our mistakes, and that's why I'm so incensed with the older people among us who point the finger of blame at everyone but themselves. If you get scammed, grit your teeth and move on, it should only ever happen once after all. To the scammers; nice one. You've found a weakness and you seem intent on exploiting it. Sure, it's not the most scrupulous path to take, but who are we to complain really? Time to think of another money maker though, surely even the most gullible of cretins will learn their lesson eventually? |

You're mistaken, these people have every right to complain about scamsters and con men. After all, people involved in organized crime don't try to trick you out of your money. |

I also think they have a reason to complain. But N4G. You being in the business that you are, do you have any sort of safeguard from people scamming money, sending it to you and then claiming it later? Or do you take your % and thats that? |

And here I was thinking the only way to make a bit of money in these hard times was a spot of honest thieving, and entirely innocent drug dealing. Silly me. I must be in the wrong line of work. I used to think that I was a criminal, but obviously not. You know. Being an honest businessman and all... |
