Nancy had always been a determined spirit and a quick learner. Growing up in a rough neighborhood, she had little choice but to learn to navigate the ways of the world with crafty smarts and hard work.

She had come a long way from the streets she once called home. Born into an Italian Catholic family she soon became disenchanted with organized religion. She saw the church horde vast wealth and power for themselves, while the average citizen struggled to put food on the table. She saw the church as a political tool to keep society in line with the fear of a judgmental, punishing god.  

Her charisma and foresight opened up opportunities and soon she found herself working in a life of organized crime, where riches could be gained and used to help others prosper. There were a few trusted souls that believed as she did, tho not bound not by blood but rather a shared purpose. Together, they would challenge the status quo of society, outwitting the especially corrupt church, and fighting for a world where the oppressed could finally breathe freely. They did good deeds and not so pleasant deeds in the shadows, true heathens to the core.

After an agonizing long period of quiet, war broke out, and the east coast and Chicago were hit hard. Among the slain was GF Silvio and Nancy found herself without a crew. It didn’t take long to see the writing on the wall and who was making quick decisions. It was then that she was given haven in Godfather Marston’s crew.

With the war swiftly over, GF Marston and other leaders had the task of rebuilding the cities that were decimated. It was on a fateful night that Nancy would receive a call from God Father Marston. Apparently he had taken more notice of her and her choices and asked her to set up in in the Bronx and rebuild the city to new heights.

“This is quite the surprise and I would be honored to do this. I will work diligently to make New York prosper and to make you proud”. Nancy was truly humbled by Marston’s faith and confidence in her. She vowed to do all she could to return the favor. “Thank you Godfather Marston for this opportunity”, Still in somewhat disbelief, she ended their call but the real work was about to begin.  

She set about gathering a select few that she trusted with her life and the lives of New York’s syndicate. Preparations were being made to finance a headquarters and incorporate a legitimate business front. It was then that Natural Born Heathens was born.
