Balls to the Wall Started by: Balls on Jun 08, '23 16:40

One month ago...

Balls was in the local speakeasy, just hanging out. He had been invited to Stiffler's office to have a conversation but had a few things to take care of first. He'd been trying to work out his past so that he could attempt to make sense of anything but every time he found something and began to pull at a thread it came loose, and he was left with nothing but dead ends and no answers. His latest piece of intel had proved just as fruitless - he'd been given the name of someone who might have answers but Balls had just found out the person in question had recently passed, leaving him just as lost as he was before. He sighed and made his way back outside to the car, giving up on his search for the day.

He sat back in the seat and told the driver to head to the Dog Years headquarters then laid his head back in the seat and closed his eyes, thinking of how his journey here began. Waking up in that hospital felt like a whole lifetime ago to him now, not having any memory of who he was or anything about himself. The only reason he had his name Balls was because that was what the nurses kept referring to him as, and he knew that loss of the eye was new, only because the nurses told him he'd arrived at the hospital with the wound obviously recently sewn up. Other than that and roughly estimating his own age based on the condition of his wrinkles, he knew nothing about himself.

He remembered how after a very short time of being awake, he'd decided he needed to head out and make his own way. He had stumbled his way through existence after leaving that hospital, sleeping on the streets and taking whatever scraps he could find that others had discarded. A couple of weeks went past and he decided enough was enough - he needed to start making a living by any means. Within no time he'd started knocking over 7-11's and it wasn't long after that that he'd drawn the attention of local crime boss Stiffler. It was the strangest thing, that even though everything felt new, he also had the feeling that he'd been here and done this all before. Philadelphia felt like a home that he'd known his whole life.

He arrived at the headquarters and made his way inside, greeting everyone as he passed and eventually making his way to Stiffler. Balls was shown the letter that Marston had sent, and a sense of duty overwhelmed him. Balls and Stiffler had enjoyed many a pie together and even though he felt a strong sense of family within the Dog Years walls with all the guys there, he knew he had to leave - and we all remember what happened after that...

Around a week ago...

War had ravaged the cities, leaving devastation wherever it landed. But this thing of ours was in need of a rebuild, and in a strategic move during the war Balls had acquired his own headquarters in Detroit alongside Marston. But since then the dust had settled and people were moving to begin to rebuild which included Marston moving to New York City. Balls felt at a loss for what to do, he hadn't long regained his memories and already it felt like everything was changing all over again. The only thing he knew was that he couldn't remain in Detroit. The city was empty, and he had no connections there whatsoever. All he wanted to do was go home. So, he boarded the next flight back to Philadelphia to sit down and talk with Stiffler.

After talking, it was decided with the blessings of luciano_lucky, Craven, TheBeast, and Stiffler himself, that Balls would relocate his headquarters to Philadelphia to become acting Godfather Chairman until such a time as he was officially able to acquire the title.

Present day...

Balls had managed to get hold of a list of his old contacts from back in the day, and after going around to all the retirement homes across the country he'd managed to put together a rag-tag band of hardened mafioso that all had more wrinkles now than hairs.

Balls took a stand on a soap box outside his headquarters and spoke...

"First of all, I'd like to thank the Godfathers around the country for their support in my move back to Philadelphia. I couldn't imagine being anywhere else. Secondly, I'd like to thank Stiffler for... well, everything. And no, you still can't fuck my eye socket" Balls grins at Stiffler before continuing. "I'd like to introduce you all to my family, named for the nickname that was given to me. As I am Balls, my family will be the Sack. As you have already no doubt seen, the country is rebuilding, and Philadelphia is no different. As we all grow and prosper, so does this thing of ours."

Balls pulls a cigar from inside his jacket pocket and lights it, taking a drag.

"But for now, it's time to relax and celebrate. Salute, my friends!"
