No, seriously, what matters besides earning money?

You can't have a crew ya don't fund, you can't have protection if you don't pay your bodyguards, ya can't move units without the funds to acquire said units, ya can't run a drug front, own a business and honestly, if you ain't kickin' up bucks to your boss, what good are ya? I finish every night picking up the daily profits from my casino and immediately hit Vegas and throw cards, double it up, pay Fenton, feed the boys and hit the bed for another day. The scariest thing you can see is me with a pair of dice in my hands. I am tellin ya man, learn to make money here or you won't survive in this world.
