The Philly Shamrocks (The Hockey Team) had done it in their first year they had made the playoffs, not an impossible feat as the league was still relatively small but nonetheless the team's moral was at an all time high. They were getting ready in the locker room while the coach was giving some long drawn on boring talk that involved a lot of cliches and BS, it was all Shoresy could take not to roll his eyes outwardly. He finally stood up as the captain and spoke

"All right you tit fuckers now that we've heard what Jack off had to say." Shoresy gestured towards the coach as he spoke "Time to tell you all how it really is, there is none of that we made it here we're all winners for that blah blah no no. This is the post season everything we've done till here means absolutely dick at the end of this there is only ONE winner and that is the team who lifts the trophy at the end of it. So if you're fine with where we're at do me a favor spend this game sitting your ass on the bench because I will not be fine until we are skating celebrating with that damn cup you understand? Now each of you give your balls a fucking tug and let's get out there and do this!!"

Period 1:

Shoresy started the game out taking the opening face off winning it back to his defender, he skated up taking a pass and bringing it into the offensive zone and firing a blast from right above the hashmarks on right side where the goalie made a great save, before sitting down for a quick line change. As the game went on 6 minutes left in the first period the score still even Shoresy jumped on and took a stretch pass skating up all alone on a break away he dekes the goalie out and but right before he can get his shot off a stick wrapped around his skate yanking him off his feet and he crashed into the net and to his surprise Shoresy heard..... no whistle!!! The Philly arena was drowning the entire places in a torrid of boos and "Fuck you refs" as Shoresy got up turned around and said fuck it if the refs won't handle it I will and he dropped the gloves with the opposing player and they just started going at it trading shots until Shoresy finally landed a massive uppercut dropping the guy on the ice. Using that fight top hopefully jumpstart his team and get them into this game he knew he was gonna be sitting in the penalty box for the remainder of the first so knew in the second he would have to step his game the fuck up.

Intermission: What do the fans have to say?!

Intermission 1:
In the locker room in between periods Shoresy punched the locker on his way in frustrated about not being able to give his team the go ahead goal in the biggest game they've had so far as well as being benched for 5 minutes. Unfortunately the fight didn't motivate the team to score, both sides had a few good shots but the score was still 0-0 and with a lot of scuffles in between whistles and the fans had not forgiven the ref for his..... "controversial" no call on the Shorsy tripping play from earlier. 

Period 2:

Shoresy was thankfully done sitting in the penalty box at the beginning of the second period but started on the bench, as he was watching the beginning of the periods one of his team mates a rookie hit the opposing team with a vicious crosscheck from behind against the boards resulting in them being thrown out of the game and a 5 minute major penalty. Of course now the ref's had opened their eyes and if the crowd was loud before now it was absolutely deafening as you can tell the people were a call away from starting to throw things on the ice. Once things got calmed down Shoresy led his team back out their to start the 5 minute penalty kill, during his shift they were stuck in their end for most of it, as the other team abused that man advantage by passing around like crazy and unleashing shot after shot from the point. After a long shift on Shoresy was finally able to ice the puck and skated off, the rest of the penalty went by and they luckily managed to not get scored on. At the dying seconds of the second period a goon on the other team charged the net with puck and crashed into the Shamrocks netminder knocking them both down and everyone watched as the puck dribbled into the net. While everyone waited for what should clearly be called goalie interference and the goal being overturned what started as a few seconds turned into a minute which felt like an eternity before the horn buzzed and no call was made. As both teams headed to the dressing rooms while the Philly coach started yelling at the refs the fans in the arena had begun littering the ice with whatever they could throw and screaming this is bullshit. Luckily there was time to clear the ice and see if the Shamrocks could come back in the 3rd.

Intermission: Angry angry fans!

Intermission 2: Shoresy is not the only one unhappy as they get in the locker room the team is pissed it feels like they're playing against not just the other team but the referees too, and the frustration is boiling over. The coach finally joins them in the locker room during the intermission after he finished yelling himself hoarse at the referees for what clearly seems to be a bias. 

The coach pulls Shoresy aside "Listen Shoresy apparently these refs Riley and Jonesy have it out for us cause you banged their mothers and they're not gonna ease up on the team so if you're gonna pull a rabbit outta your ass you better get to it cause we are 20 minutes away from losing our first playoff game you understand?" Shoresy looks back at the coach nodding solemnly before rallying the boys and getting them ready to get out there for hopefully the last 20 minutes of the game.

Period 3:
Shoresy now knowing very well what's going on with the refs and takes the first face off, but when he pull back to win it to his defensemen he makes sure his elbow hits the ref right in the nuts. As the play is whistled down and they calm things down on the ice Shoresy leans down and whispers to the ref that he better start calling this thing fair or that will be the first of many "incidents" tonight, the ref nods in agreement and puts a hand up for Shoresy to help him up, Shoresy takes the hand and gets him halfway before letting go and saying over his shoulder "That's for being a jackass, now call it fair asshole" The next play Shoresy gets in the offensive zone skates around the opposing net and passes it back to the point where the guy winds up and fires a laser slapshot right above the goalies glove tying the game up. The next few shifts are fairly eventful a few scrums, 2 fights and some good chances both ways as with the refs calling the game fair now the other team is the one who's emotions are getting the better of them. Shoresy hops back on only to take a bad hooking call and have to sit 2 minutes in the penalty box with 3 minutes left. Now 2 minutes may not seem long to you but in this do or die hockey game it felt like an actual eternity every time the other team shot Shoresy winced cause he knew if they got scored on right here it was on him and that is no role model for his duck Petah. Finally the seconds were running out on his penalty and as he jumped on the ice one of his boys passed him a beautiful breakout pass from their zone he was all alone just like in the first period he deked once fake the shot the goalie when down deked again and this time back handed it blocker side on an out of position goalie scoring the go ahead goal. 

Postgame: 

With one minute left the game devolved more into a boxing match than a hockey game by the end of it only 7 players were left on each bench but Shoresy's goal held up and they took won the Shamrocks first playoff game and ended up living in their opponents heads for the rest of the series eventually taking it 4-1 on route to going to the second round.
