Ian was awoken by the phone ringing and a pounding on the door. He looked at his watch, in fairness he should probably get up now but there was no need for all this racket. He answered the phone as he shuffled on his slippers and padded to answer the door. The voice on the line was Balls. "Hey man, city hall just wiped out your headquarters. Raided it. Threw everyone into the street!" "Really? Bastards. They have always had a hard on for me. What complete cunts. Ok... Give me twenty, I'll be down there." He hung op and opened the door to see ASimpleCivilian standing there breathlessly. "Hey boss, have you heard? City Hall have raided the place.." "Yeah, I just got the call. Let's go." The two of them headed down to Queens and arrived at the headquarters to find the local sergeant, standing next to the commissioner. The commissioner was wearing the kind of smirk you'd never tire of punching. "Morning Ian." Said the massively overweight, smug prick. "It appears your building didn't make code. You gotta pay" Ian summoned every ounce of his resolve in order to prevent himself stamping on the guys head until it burst on the sidewalk. "Yeah, no problem. I've called the contractor, the grade requirements will be in place by the end of the day. Here's the fee for the fine." The wheezing physical catastrophe took fat envelope and pawed through its contents. Raising an eyebrow, he looked half disappointed that the entire fee was there. "Alright then, let this be a lesson to you!" Ian couldn't help himself and fixed the embarrassment of a man with a deathly stare. "You have your money and you've had your fun. Now fuck off before I end your pathetic life." The commissioner's slobbering smug expression dropped as he suddenly remembered who he was dealing with. There was every possibility this man could lose it and murder him in the street. In an effort to project calm, he made a whimpering grunting noise and began thelengthy process of wedging himself back into the hopelessly overloaded car. Ian turned to ImportantBusinessman. "Well, that was some serious bullshit... We're back!" |
