Scruggs' Slugs III Started by: BusterScruggs on Aug 17, '23 18:16

Buster had been hard at work making his gun shop in Chicago the best one in the entire United States, and while it was thriving and becoming quite the success with those more criminally inclined in the city, so to speak, there was still an opportunity to be had, and that opportunity went by a simple name:

"Franchising! We get the Scruggs name out there, on mugs and hats and what's a better way to do that than open a second store that sells the very same quality guns that you're known for in Chicago!"

The young duelist sat back in his chair and thought on the idea that one of his last living bodyguards attempted to sell to him in a nearly vain attempt to stay alive, but there was something about that that stuck with him. It was genius, in fact, so much so that he would not only allow the bodyguard to stay alive but give him a nickname, as well.

"That's very good, but what if people feel like two Scruggs' Slugs isn't enough to count as an entire franchise? You've seen some of those places popping up that have twenty to thirty stores, sometimes even more."

"So why not... call it the third? Three's a lucky number and all."

His eyes lit up. This bodyguard was very smart, some may say almost too smart, and it would make sense, given how there was not a bodyguard there at all, but only a guilty visage that Buster had created to keep himself from losing his mind after the slaughter-- this single last man the only thing standing in the way between him and his sanity. But, truth be told, the spirit did give really good ideas on how to run a business, and Buster would use that heavily to his advantage.

Scruggs' Slugs III

Once he arrived in the city of Detroit there wasn't a lot more conversation that needed to be had. This was the spot where he would place his second, well, or third, business. Not only was there a lot of history, but he had also kept it from being run by a terrible man that went by the name of Bricktown Crew Leader who would have surely had a tyrannical rule unmatched by most others. The people here still owed the Scruggs lineage a fair shake, and going to his new store would go a long way in making them all even.

"Come one, come all! Purchase a weapon, any weapon. Legal weapons, of course!"

He winks as he gave his spiel right outside of his newly erected store. Not only were there plenty of legal guns and other such means of destruction but there was also an entire back room tucked beneath the first floor inside of the basement where every type of illicit item was being sold for cheap prices. You could even get yourself a rocket launcher! or a sling if you're more into that sort of archaic weaponry.

Either way, everything was here for sale! Even Buster's ethics.

"So come on down to Scruggs' Slugs III! TODAY!"

Abram was visiting family in the wonderful Motor city of Detroit for a distant cousin's kids wedding. He obviously wanted to get the young man he'd known for years a gift that not only can be used to protect his family but also pass down through the generations. Abram knew there was only one place to stop at for such a gift, good old Scruggs Slugs.

Abram already knew what he wanted so skipping over the sections of guns he walked to the counter to discuss his vision with the gunsmith. Abram wanted a silver plated, golden engraved colt 1911 with beautiful pearl handles with the families name carved into th pearl.

The gunsmith knew it would be a task but money wasn't an issue so he told Abram to come back in a few days and he'd have it all ready. Several days went by Abram went to pick up the pistol and was amazed at the beauty of the colt. Abram tipped the gunsmith heavily and left with several other stops in mind before the big day.
