| A Disgrace... | Started by: saoXcore on May 05, '08 20:03 |

saoXcore walks out onto the streets of his new and old home town with a sour look on his face. He is carrying his kitty as usual, who is a little shaken up after their HQ being destroyed. He stands on a soap box to reach the height of the growing crowd. I know this has been spoken about before, but with this latest mass murder it has become more apparent to me. It disgusts me how rude and critical people are at the funerals of leaders and other important people who have recently joined the obituaries. I have seen people go as far as saying that the death has been deserved only for being part of a group that is, for the most part, controlling our world, and I've also seen people laugh in the faces of the mourners. It truly makes me sick to my stomach to see this happen to such great people. My very close friend and former boss happened to be one of them. Say what you wish about him but Mr. gott1 was a great man. He had faith in me when not many did, and I love him for it. I digress...back to the point. I know not everyone can like people, but the least you can do is show some respect and keep your mouths shut when people are mourning over the loss of someone close to them. saoXcore lights up a cigarette and continues on with his speech. What is there to do about this plague of disrespect? The answer is nothing, unfortunately. We can say that we will kill anyone who disrespects in that fashion, but that won't stop their children from coming back and showing the same disrespect to others at a later time. Unfortunately all we can do is sit back and watch them commit these actions. Some people come back and disrespect or talk shit about the person that just did it (if that makes any sense) but that does not make things any better, it just shows that you are dumb enough to stoop down to their level. The best thing is to ignore it and let them do it as they please, because it only brings down their character and in the end will condemn their bloodline to endless torment of not being trusted. This is all in my opinion, don't take anything to your heart about what I said, I am only speaking what I believe. I would like to know everyone elses thoughts on the matter, though. So please feel free to take a step onto my soap box, just don't crush it, I need the soap that's in there. saoXcore steps down from the box and moves aside for others to address the masses. |

| Amen brother! With all the problems in this world today, the most important thing is disrespect at funerals. Good point, once we get rid of this foolishness, the world will truly be a better place. Encore! | |

| Thank you Rizzle, I am glad to see that my opinion is also the opinion of others. | |

Sao, my old friend, I completely agree with you. I was present at Ellis' funeral, none other than the deceased Consigliere Las Vegas Crew Leader, and I was disgusted at some of the things being said at his funeral. These people were standing up and smiling while they slandered this Mafioso at his own fucking funeral. I couldn't believe it. I was absolutely outraged, and voiced my anger to my dear Wheelbarrowing friend. It really is a disgrace, but there is absolutely nothing we can do about it. All we can hope for is that the disrespectful pricks of this world will be remembered, and their bloodlines not forgotten. Not least for a while anyway. For once, I would actually encourage bloodline hunting. To the haters out there, I don't give a shit if Daddy was killed by someone bearing the CP tag on IRC avenue - in funerals you shut the fuck up and sit down. As I was told when I first joined this world, about posting in funerals: If you can't fucking say anything nice, don't fucking say anything at all. Those were the exact words, yes. He was an angry fellow. Cooked his own rabbit I hear. But that's another story. |

There are so many other outlets around here to let out your anger and frustrations over the events of the present or past. A person's funeral should never be a place for any of those things. Funerals are held to pay respects to the fallen, and nothing more. As many times as I've heard from my former family about speeches like this being out in the streets, it seems time to make another one. I would like to thank Sao for bringing it up, because this seems to be a point that needs to be almost beaten over people's heads every now and then. These are things that should be brought out to the streets. If you don't have respect for someone who has recently passed, then simply don't show up to their funeral. It's really that simple. |
