Returning Your Hubcaps Started by: PoisonousJelly on Oct 17, '11 23:00

PJ wakes up from his slumber and smells the evening air. "Ahhh full of deciept, cigarette smoke and egotism" he thinks to himself. After a good stretch and yawn he forces his legs to the side of the bed and stands up. After getting dressed he again thinks to himself "I guess it's time. One last time, well, for the near future anyway.". Still seething from the news of the day before he makes his way out of his apartment. Taking a look back over his shoulder he catches a glimpse of one thing that says it all.
The bronze plaque next to his mail box that simply read Jono/PoisonousJelly is now half hanging off and covered in graffiti. Sighing he removes it and places it in his backpack along with the rest of his known posessions. Posessions that once made him famous. From the old hubcap to the key of The Fort. He looks at the floor to control his emotion when he takes a look up to see the streets bustling (not) in front of him. Walking down the streets he starts to take in the sights and smells he has always remembered. He will never forget the time that the great speakers ruled this place. Where every day breeds new mental work outs through debating and bantering, were new faces were not afraid to speak their mind and old faces where not afraid to put people in their place. More recently however he remembers that time when Kimble talked publically about, wait that didn't happen. When whats his name... uhm... Anyway... But if anything, out of all the memories, the one thing he will never forget is the family lines Fort. It has been stolen (Even though he's the scouse) many of times but always kept coming back one way or another. Whether it be through glancing references or a full blown new Fort Izzel. Oh the good times.

Reaching the end of the street PJ takes a right on to OOC Avenue where he stops for a second to take it all in. The site of so much news of new things happening in our world and the famed 'Looking for old threads' corner. Some good times were spent here for good ole PJ.

Apon reaching the end of OOC Avenue he takes a left to reach IRC Boulevard. The place famed in our world for so many coffee shops from the small time friends among friends shop to the family hang outs to the massive Divine Lunacy. PJ takes a moment and remembers the good times he has had in so many of these and will continue to do so. No matter what happens in our world he will never leave the likes of #molson and #teq. To many good times to be had.

PJ finally comes to #teq and smirks. "Ahh, were this began" he thinks. He takes a seat on the bench outside and lights up a cigarette while pondering over the events of the past few days. As he extinguishes his light he looks up to see what is obviously a fresh face to these shores walking by and nods a hello

PJ: "Oi, kid. New here? I can tell... Sit down."
Kid: "Who me? Oh... uhm... yah? Sure.

As the kid sits down, PJ takes a long hard drag on his cigarette and adjusts himself to face the kid.

PJ: So, kid... You hear about this blacklisting the other day? You must have done. It has been big talk and cause of many deaths. Yeah?
Kid: Sure have Mister. Who hasn't? What's this got to do with me stranger? Who are you?
PJ: Well, I am the bloodline of Jono/PoisonousJelly. I am on that list, so before I go... I wanted to visit my most memorable and favorite places, when I saw you walk past I felt like I needed to talk to someone. Help me figure out why this has happened by saying it out loud.
Kid: So why were you and your lineage black listed? You must know the reason?
PJ: Well kid, it's all about watching your mouth and being careful who you talk to and around. PJ points to the building behind him It all started in here kid. Was just a normal night time poker game with the boys in the coffee shop. You know what happens, you have one to many and start smoking your own merchandise. Lips start to get loose and imaginations run wild. So a fellow player and Jono started talking about how to go about taking a Godfather out and whether it could be done. They had many laughs about this and were even beginning to imagine it be possible. This was when Jono said something along the lines of "If I could, I would shoot Premeir". This ofcourse was his downfall.
Kid: So... He deserved to be shot? People can't go around running their mouths off about anything they want. It's bad for business and can be taken as a threat. Why would Jono even want this guy shot anyway?
PJ: Well kid, There was a lady called Karma-Courture who was RHM to Godfather Kimble. Anyone who knows my lineage knows that our bloodlines go back a very long time. Too long to remember. Anyway, A process of events that I will not get in to led to Godfather Premeir wanting her dead. Guess what? She was shot. The RHM to a Godfather and her city, shot as easy as that. This was enough to enrage me on it's own. She was a dear dear friend who done a lot for me.
Kid: Oh man... That's tough Mister.
PJ: Heh, that's not the end of it. Another friend of mine, went by the name of Hawk was shot dead by a New York Boss called Vico. Hawk was the LHM to the same Godfather and his city. Shot by a Boss from Premeir's city. What happened this time? Nothing of any importance or impact.
Kid: Shit...Really?
PJ: I'm not done kid, Then came my lineage... Jono. After Hawk's death Jono was promoted to LHM to the Godfather. It was brilliant, he'd worked hard and kept his head down before his 'crime'. Then all of a sudden he is blacklisted along with a group of others because of something he said. Along with being blacklisted he is shot dead in the night with next to no quarrel from his Godfather. So essentially thats two LHM and one RHM dead at the hands of New York. Still, nothing done.
Kid: Ah, now i'm beginning to understand. Jono had more than enough reason to want Premeir dead. I gotta say again though, Jono did deserve to be shot.
PJ: I have no arguement to that kid, his mouth got him his cement shoes and to be honest? I'd have done the same thing. Blacklisted though? From our way of life? Not, A, Chance. Anyone and everyone in our population has wished a high ranking member dead at one point or another. Show me someone who hasn't and I will show you a liar.

PJ grabs another cigarette and offers one to his new friend, as he lights the match he covers from the wind and offers it to the kid first. As they smoke he starts talking again

Kid: So what're you going to do now Mister? I mean... Where does it go from here?
PJ: That's just it kid, it doesn't go anywhere from here. My family name has been tarnished by being labelled part of 'The Dirty Dozen'. There is no life for my family here at the moment.
Kid: So what? You're just going to leave? You're family will not return?
PJ: Oh they will return, one day. Soon more than likely, but our name must not be seen for a while. It must be forgotten and faded in to the threads of history. My cousins however, they are very keen to enter our world. My family has always tried to stop this, as we know what this world offers at the worst of times, but also what it offers at the best of times. Now that none of my family are here, there is no stopping them making an appearance.
Kid: Well in that case I hope to see them around the streets some time.
PJ: I'm sure you will kid, i'm sure you will.

With that PJ walks off into the sunset, not looking back and not looking down. He tries not to show his sadness at what he is doing but knows it is somehow seeping through. When all of a sudden he hears the familiar sound of the kids voice shouting him. Against his better judgement he turns back to see the kid shouting to him

Kid:shouting MISTER, MISTER!!! STOP!!! I've just heard news from those mobsters over there. Your name Mister, it's been cleared... You are no longer blacklisted! You don't have to hide or go anywhere. Prem has 'pardoned' your ban. Isn't that great?!
PJ: All i'll say is this kid... Once your name is tarnished, there is no easy road back from that. My family needs to leave and not look back for a little while. 10 years of business here and not once has my line been forced underground. Not once has it done anything that has caused it be blacklisted. We will not be back until I feel it is right.

With that PJ takes one of his hubcaps from his back pack and throws it like a frisbee in to the air. He does this again and again until his bag is empty and shouts "HERE YOU GO, HAVE EM BACK. I DON'T NEED THEM ANYMORE". As the kids eyes watch them sore past the sunset and back to earth he turns around to see that PJ is no longer there when suddenly a gush of wind blows past. The kid is sure he can hear a faint whisper. He can just about make it out to be...

PS, I just stole your hubcaps.

It's always sad when one of the older lines decides it's time to take a back seat in our life. Be it a decision they've made by out of choice or because they are left with no other option. There is however a lesson that can be learned here.

It takes a long time to build a reputation, and no matter how good that reputation is it can all be undone in an instant with the wrong decision or thing said at the wrong time.

while walking away he can't help but think that somethings will never be the same again around here

Looks at the place where PJ used to stand, shaking his head and walking away a bit, muttering under his breath

Wonder if he'll ever be back? I sure hope so, that kid had a lot going for him.

Wanders down the block and into the nearest liquor store, pouring out some very expensive scotch for his long lost friend

PJ, our lines clashed on many occassions.  It is somehow ironic that you were once tasked with routing rogues attacking your city - and now you find yourself an outcast - along with the head of a city targeted by outcasts.  Ironic and sad.

Dark clouds are gathering.

Jono, our bloodlines go way back. It is definitely a sad day to see you leave these shores.

It seems I too am headed your way, it would appear upsetting Godfather Premeir once is enough to warrant him pushing for you to get banned from joining any city again. What a sad, sad day that this behaviour is allowed to occur, and even sadder that people let it happen this way. I remember the days when funerals were a place for only respect, and those with nothing nice to say kept it to themselves or were shot.

There is no place in this world for me any more, and I hope people will start standing up for what they believe in sometime soon. I'm not one for long goodbyes, so goodbye and good luck.

Jono, DeadlySin. Our families have been friends for a very, very long time now and it deeply saddens me to see both of your family names leave our world.... it is a lesser place for it. I will miss you both, look me up if/when you return

Says the guy with the midget addiction...

Anyway... Look at this Cuz... Your name, along with every other name on that list has been cleared. I know you were afraid of my family following suit in this line of business. What can I say? It was just too good to take up.

So for the time being Cuz, this is my time. Should I die, maybe you will return, cousin.
