And I saw how 1 Army soldier completely changed the night. His appearance and speech was from the heart, and this is just 1 Soldier, 1 Leader.. Now imagine if there were more. What if there were more US Soldiers to stand up to their beliefs? Afterall American Soldiers have sworn to uphold the constitution both domestic and foreign.

What do you guys think about this? Would hell break lose?

Backstory: just prior to Thomas going off on the police, the police were using threats of force in attempts to disperse the crowd who were mostly just on the sidewalk. Batons were out a few people were pulled off the sidewalk at random. That's all I know, there's no such thing as innocent for the police there right now. They either participate or stand by idle just taking orders... Some of the worst things imaginable have been done by men just taking orders. It's not an excuse, it's not justifiable. Their primary duty is to protect the US citizens, not attack unarmed men and woman.

The guy is acting aggressive against the police who are being passive, and from what I can see, very patient. This guy is not helping the cause. Had he kept his composure his message would have been twice as effective, however, he is unable to control his emotions and looks to be the only one not in control of their own actions/emotions.

(Also, without video proof, all back stories should be ignored because they are too often manipulated to cater to whatever message is trying to be given, basing just on the video alone, the soldier was the only one being an excitable prick there)

Politics, religion and sport, three of the things I’m inclined to reserve my opinions on in internet forums as it generally descends into ignorance, bigotry and hate at an astonishing speed as TheWildCard has already displayed with his name calling directed at the protagonist of the video.

I would however be interested to see a video of someone sharing such opinions to the man’s face and not sitting behind a computer screen, that I would pay good money to see.

Dissapointed, when I saw the title I thought it was going to be about a marine fighting 30 police officers. How disapointed was I when all he did was stand and rant at the police whilst they did nothing. In the UK, the police get a lot of verbal abuse. verbal abuse which would make the normal man switch. But they remain, as TheWildCard said, passive.

'Stop hurting these people' - has there been any reports of police brutality during any of the occupations? If you resist arrest, the police have a right to use reasonable force to arrest you. The more you squirm, the more you fight back, the more force a police officer can apply...

Also, this occupy stuff is stupid. Is it governments faults, banks fault that people have overspent and their perception of basic and luxory goods have changed? People now seem to think that it is someones basic right to own a 40in flat screen TV, an iPod, a Blackberry, a laptop, designer clothes, etc.

I request everyone to google 'first world problems' and it really puts things into perspective...

picture 20 or even 30 Marines standing up for what the believe in right then. The gov won't let them all come home because the Soldiers actually have a say so in what the fuck happens most of the time.

I'm sorry Camzilla, but you seem a little confused.

1) 10/20 marines standing up for what they believe is right would have zero effect. Why are you thinking that the opinion of the marine is above that of a non-marine? 10/20 marines voicing their opinion will have no greater effect then 10/20 doctors, nurses, teachers, bin men, etc

2) 'Soldiers actually have a say so in what the fuck happens most of the time' - wow, did you make that up? Soldiers have no say so in what happens. They are tools of the state. If the marines were told to go onto the streets and fight the protesters, they would have to. They don't make policy. Don't make decisions. Politicians do.

I think sir, you really need to educate yourself on politics and various other things, as your view point is confused...

As for why the US troops will never come home. Look around the world. 55k troops in Germany. 45k in Japan. 30k in S Korea. Thus in comparison to just 50k in Iraq...The reason the troops will never come home, as we have seen in Germany with both British and US troops still being there, is that once someone 'wins' the war, they like to then have a presence there. The US will build bases in Iraq & Afghanistan, and it wouldn't surprise me if there are over 50k troops 'based' there once the conflict is over. They will claim its for training, but it isn't. It is for control & safety.
