| A Love Letter To Chicago | Started by: Katarina on Oct 22, '11 03:03 |

Dear Chicago, You were my home when I was lost. You withstood the attacks that struck our gates time and again. When I suffered betrayals time and again, I could rely on you standing by my side. Your constant presence gave me the confidence I needed when my numbers were thin and my pockets were bare. Your name is synonymous to mine, and they will remain long after we are both gone. When I lost my faith, you were my chapel. I know that when I'm buried under your earth that you will protect me still. I've seen leaders lay down their lives for you, and I've seen leaders flee from you if they see a brighter opportunity, but you continue to house us all the same. While my time may be coming to a close, I know you will mourn me even if no one else does. In my time on this Earth you have witnessed the rise and fall of titans: Marietta, Aurora, Premier, Deimne, and TheDean. Now you witness mine. I hope my legacy makes you proud, and that you thrive once more after I leave this life. When we began together, you had seen almost everything, I was young and trying to prove to you that my name should be etched across the tallest skyscraper. Now I am older, and our relationship has changed. I am still not your equal, but I no longer feel the need to measure up to your lofty expectations, I am content with what's been accomplished. The sun is setting on the Roman Empire, but for you there will be many more tomorrows. I am at once envious of your longevity, but know the toll that it can take. Do not mourn my loss, because the good memories far outweigh what's transpired today. I will think of you fondly in the next life, but our paths won't cross again. Thank you for everything you've given me. although my life was one of many to pass through you streets, I cherished every moment. Goodbye, my city. Yours, Roman |

While you are still breathing and shooting my darling katarina, do not say goodbye to the roman empire as you are the remaining pillar of that. Onward my noble steed! |

It's good to see Alabama allowing such disrespectful cunts to run in her ranks. Perhaps she's not the woman I always thought her to be. |

Fluffy, if I may ask, if it's not too out of place for a lowly goomba such as myself... Why would you make fun of such a letter? What else did you expect from the leader of an epic empire?
The fact that many thought it was time for new... "management" shouldn't really mean we have to make fun of the last words of a great man... |

i have to agree with Ashes here. In the meeting in the aftermath, it was agreed that disrespect in funeral's will be heavily frowned upon. Id have to say that although this is the streets and we now have freedom of speach, i dont think there is a real need of ignorance, especailly with the subject in hand. |

I don't see anything too bad with old gibbon's remarks. |

i just think its in bad taste. I personally see it as over kill. im not from any of the ch or ny families who lost their lifes and i was against the way this world ran as much as the next but i just dont see an absolute need for it, but as we both agree on, its not a funeral, its the streets and we all freedom of speech. |
