This past weekend saw the demise of four Godfathers, the most prominent being Chicago's own Godfather Roman. I have nothing ill to say of Roman, and to say his run was that of legend would be an understatement. Under his rule I was able to grow and prosper, allowing me to reach more milestones and successes than any of my past ancestors. He ran This Thing of Ours with an iron-fist, and he will be remembered as a man who was equally respected as he was feared. His ability to be both simultaneously was nothing short of admirable and amazing in my not-so humblest of opinions.

That being said, I don't think it's necessary to go into a great deal of explanation as to my reasons for partaking in the overthrow of Godfathers Roman (and by extention, Godfather -Premier). There was a plethora of reasons for people across Our Thing to be dissatisfied  with the old regime, and to highlight my own reasons here would serve no other purpose than to talk poorly of a man who achieved heights that the likes of most Mafioso can only ever dream of achieving. Roman and I were not friends, we were in business together, therefore my decision to partake in the overthrow was a business decision, not a personal one  personal vendettas are easy for one to sromach and justify  Often times business decisions are the hardest decisions to make.

The war resulted in the deaths of people I was particularly fond of, and I will mourn their deaths from now until the time my own reign as Godfather of Chicago comes to an end. But that is the past and now is a time of rebuilding and looking towards the future. Both Chuckle and Raptor have set up shop in Chicago, and I look forward to working with them as we build our own city in our own vision. I also look forward to working with the other city leaders as well, and exchanging ideas that may bring an end to some of the stagnancy our world has suffered as of late, and perhaps some newfound excitement in our streets.

Finally I'd like to raise a glass to those that I fought with in this massive undertaking across all the cities; those that worked tirelessly in the planning and execution of an endeavor that was once deemed impossible, and last but certainly not least those that fell on both sides of the battlefield.  Salut.

So in closing?  It would appear I have some very big shoes to fill. Roman was a beast like none other. He was a lot of things. A lot of great things. But one thing he wasn't was sexy. Not sexy like me at least. It's time for a change.

Rest well Roman you will never be forgotten my father had a wonderful time in your city. And Chicago will live on forever, To SexyBeast I understand your decision on the overthrough of the two giants that roam the world. Business is business that is the way of life. I look foward to seeing Chicago get back on its feet.

Congratulations my friend, I know the past few days was stressful on you and those you fought along side. Seeing mobsters from across all eight cities come together and overthrow the previous regime was nothing short of spectacular. While this speech does highlight the great things those leaders did while in power, it also speaks volumes of the current regime, and how they were able to accomplish this great task as a unified front.

That said, I have a bulge in my pants and I'm ready to do some rippin and tearin. Long live Chicago, and long live Godfather SexyBeast!

Clarity greeted the man before her. Her mother was good friends with him and she had grown to like the man herself also. Smiling to him she shook his hand and spoke.

"My head is in a state of confusion right now, but as I slowly collect my thoughts I came to accept what happened. Change is always something we need and I hope that this change proves to be worth the losses. My mother worked happily under Roman and she owes everything she had and was to him. Most of these people do. I hope people don't forget that. For many of us we wouldn't be where we are if it wasn't for him or Premier."

Pausing, Clarity felt a tear drop from her eye. She missed her mother greatly and knew the times that she had would always be in her memory. The stories that were told to her.

"I wish you the best of luck in Chicago, Mr. SexyBeast. I don't think you should fill anyone's shoes. Create your own and forge your own future. I don't believe people should compare you to Roman because you are not or ever will be him. You are your own man. Be proud of it!"

Clarity then nodded and walked off.

A new sexier Chicago indeed.......

Gordon loosens his tie, removes an unfiltered Russian Sobranie, lights it and takes a long deep draw before continuing.

These past few days have seen the removal from office of some of the most recognisible names from our shores. From Godfather to gangster, the decks have been shuffled.

The great may have fallen, however greatness still reigns.

I offer my best wishes to the new Godfather SexyBeast. A man who I have served since being afforded the opportunity to join the Cheese Syndicate many moons past. A man whose principles, business acumen and leadership qualities I have the utmost admiration for. I am completely convinced of his success at the helm of the city of Chicago, not only in the continued prosperity of our beloved home, but the protection of all the people and interests that have been built within and outside these city walls.

Already, significant names from  within the city have been given the authority to forge ahead and establish themselves as key figureheads for their own businesses, attracting the investment and the people necessary to ensure the continuing development of Chicago. Congratulations are therefore in order to both Chuckle and Raptor whose selflessness, honour and commitment to the family and city has been witnessed by many.

It is also at times such as this that the fallen must be remembered. Our world has lost many good people who paid the ultimate sacrifice in the defence of what they loved. The courage of these men and women must not be forgotten. Regardless of allegiance they are all an unquestionable testament to the honour, and unyielding loyalty which is such an integral part of the life we lead.

I salute you all.

I have many things to say today, many eulogies to offer and many more respects to pay. Despite that, I thought it was appropriate that I made this my first port of call on the Streets today because this is one of the greatest things to have come forth from the recent events.

When I entered this life, I was greeted to the welcome sight of an old friend carving out his own living in Chicago. He was forging a reputation as a great man and winning friends and the respect of many across the Cities. That man was Augustus and he has been an inspiration to me, to all of us really, for as long as I can remember.

Trailing in his wake, with a hand permanently in his cycling shorts and a lopsided gawp on his pockmarked face, was one "SexyBeast". I heard an unfortunate rumour that this was the bastard son of the great Anselmo who served Gwarble so successfully and for so long, although upon seeing what a moron he was, it was hard to believe it was true.

I consulted the Oracle of Augustus and he unfortunately confirmed my worst fears, this was indeed the son of Anselmo and as a result I was honour bound to work for him. I approached Augustus and after he tutored me in my father's business and served as my mentor in this life, I was inducted into the Cheese Syndicate.

Together, Augustus and I guided the Beast through his daily tasks and with Augustus perched firmly on his shoulder as a guiding force in his life, he eventually began to shine. The tutelage he received from Augustus, hell the tutelage the entire family received from Augustus has proved invaluable for our lives. This was a great man and all that we have achieved stems from him.

It is with great sadness that I look to SexyBeast and know that his true RHM and Consigliere, Augustus, is no longer with us. We are all lessened by that and maybe we will misstep along the way without him guiding our feet, but we'll try. We'll try for you, Augustus.

SexyBeast is now the Godfather of our glorious and beloved city. I know somewhere that Augustus is looking down at us, surrounded by so many nubile females pinging for him and fawning over him that it is actually annoying, and I hope that he is proud.

I'll try to make you proud Augustus.
