Are we in a new golden age of Street activity?

The streets do not appear to have a defined leader, and this is perhaps no bad thing.  Whilst activity is down somewhat, perhaps the quality has increased?  One only has to look at the sheer quality of output from TheStranger to understand what I mean.

Of course, we must still be vigilant and on the look out for those who subcontract their street speaking to those pesky fakes down at AI Avenue, and let's not forget the doofus who literally gave a speech which included the provenance of the paid for content.

But still, notwithstanding some recent confusion about the believable age for inducted members of crime families, the streets have seen a decline in speeches but an uplift in quality.

What I think would add to this renewed quality would be some form of violent activity, sanctioned by the upper structures.  For example, a ruling that allowed for the extortion and murder of associates in certain circumstances.  Wouldn't that give us something to talk about at length?  I would certainly love to see a bloodthirsty Capo explain away his ruthless gunning down of some poor associate for no discernable reason.

And, of course, we should have experimental cities and/or districts.

Has this ever not been entertaining?

What information is this based on? Strictly your experience of frequency and quality? I'd be interested to know if this is based on anything more than personal opinion.

Instead of sacrificing potentially innocent lives could we not just pose hypothetical questions and seek hypothetical answers? Saving lives and still satisfying intellectual curiosity, sounds like a win win. 

And, of course, we should have experimental cities and/or districts.

If you were to take a position of power you could easily make this happen! I'm excited to follow your journey and wait excitedly.

There are quite a few bright stars frequenting these streets as of late that I am following with a keen eye. I will not name names but they are most promising and I'm sure will continue to bring intrigue for the enlightenment and entertainment of all. Perhaps we are close to a "Renaissance of The Streets"?

As for a Leader of The Streets, though we are currently without one and the streets are in a state of anarchy, I am sure that with enough time a suitable LOTS will arise from the muddy streets once more to shape it like a skilled artisan.

I feel like this would endanger my life considerably, and I already foresee at least 2 Bosses from Queens doing away with me if such laws were to become enacted.

Would, after my murder, an enlightening discussion follow about the ethics of Goomba Gopher Extermination? Yes.
Would the spiritual enrichment of all participants of this discussion be worth the life of a Goomba? This is a question I am not qualified to answer.

GordonGekko - I see you are true to your motto of "IS IT A QUESTION OF MONEY?".

I regularly deal with the controversial topic of exchanging "life" for "cold hard cash" myself as well considering I run a successful business selling gophers. I often question whether what I do is ethical, whether I am justified in making a buck off the life of a gopher.

10 million dollars sounds a tad high though, no? How about we make it 5 each instead. I'm willing to go as low as 4.5 million but that's my final offer.
