Who won the battle?? Started by: Scuddlemuchness on Oct 27, '11 01:48

A slightly tired Scuddlemuchness approached the centre podium of what is the streets only to stumble over some empty boxes. He quickly pulled an empty crisp packet out of his mouth and brushed the leaves from his hair and sat up with a vague expression on his face.

Scuddlemuchness pointed at the crowd in nobody inparticulars direction but you see his eyes open and close and his expression quickly change to the point where his mouth begins to open.

What happend to you people?

What happend to the battles?

He vaguely watched as people started to point guns at him and shout curse words etc...

Exscuse me, they where rhetorical questions.

I remember a day where I knew that if I was to come to the streets I could almost taste a battle before I entered one. They tasted oh so sweet like berry coulis mixed with peanut butter on a slice of wholemeal bread.

You don't know what I'm talking about yet? You must be off your rocket!

The ole famous rap battles! I remember where us gangsters would battle it out with some words instead of violence, those were merry times indeed.

Could someone please direct me to where the now take place or am I right in saying I can no longer get that berrynut tastic taste anymore? For I yearn for my berrynut bread, I'll even consider that with melted cheese, if I so must.

Disclaimer: If I have offended you with the inparticular food items which don't go particularly well together for that I must apologise. If not food RaPs welcome.

upon hearing scuddlemuchness High Society looked on to listen. He overheard ElvisCole as well and decided to chime in.

In fact kind sir, Rap battles are quite relevant here in these streets and would be just proper! Raps roots started just around the corner in these here 1930s, as folks used the blues as raw expression. Artists such as Blind Willie McTell and Blind Willie Johnson every night implement spoken quips between their sung lyrics for emphasis!

You go ahead and speak quips unto these streets Mr. Muchness! We'll listen on!
