Elemental Poker Started by: Quini on Oct 21, '23 16:54

Ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon. Some of you know me already, and for those of you who don't, hello, I'm Quini, you may also know me by the nickname our dear late Roxie flatteringly bestowed upon me, Queen of the High Hands.

I'm here today to announce that in her honor, I'll be taking over as the manager of our weekly poker tournaments. Though I doubt I can match the standard she set, I'll do my best to be an effective replacement.

With that said, we intend to meet weekly to play some good ol' fashion poker at the new casino in New York, owned by our own aethersix and managed by yours truly. The Fifth Element Poker table is eager to host this event, and we wish you all the best of luck.

The first tournament under this new management will be held tomorrow, Sunday the 22nd, at 21:00. We hope to see you all there!

The prizes are as follows:

1st place: 50% of buy in, plus $1,000,000

2nd place: 30% of buy in

3rd place: 20% of buy in

Additional prizes may be added in future for things such as high hands and a knock-out reward.

We are gladly accepting donations to support this.

Thank you for sparing your time for me today, I wish you all a wonderful day.

Good evenings, folks! I'd like to begin my announcement with an apology for it's tardiness. An illness is at fault for the delay, and though far improved, not entirely done with, so let's keep this short and sweet.

In regards to last weeks tournament, the results are as follows:

1st place: MoMoney, aka Spicy

2nd place: BigBossMan, aka Giraffe

3rd place: Bruce_Lee

In addition, due to some generous donations, we were able to reward bonus prizes, which are:

1st place bonus: MoMoney, aka Spicy - $1,000,000

High hand bonus: MoMoney, aka Spicy - $1,000,000

Four of a kind: MoMoney, aka Spicy - $1,000,000

It was a high hand kinda game, with many 3 of a kinds and quite a few full houses as well, and a few straights and flushes thrown in. But we obviously had one person rise above the rest, congratulations Spicy, for her impressive playing. I'm sure I'm not the only one who isn't surprised.

Now, let's look forward, to the not too distant (at all) future. This weeks tournament will be tomorrow, Saturday the 27th, at 22:00, at The Fifth Element Poker table. We are very much looking forward to seeing you there, and again apologize for the short notice.

Rewards will be as shown:

1st place: 50% of buy in

2nd place: 30% of buy in

3rd place: 20% of buy in

1st place bonus: $1,000,000

High Hand: $1,000,000

Four of a kind: $1,000,000

Apologies for any confusion.

Report Post Tip

Alright poker enthusiasts. The results are in for last week's tournament, and they are as follows:

1st place: MoMoney, aka Spicy

2nd place: AlmightySosa, aka Sosa

3rd place: Quini

A game of many full houses, the high hand was held by yours truly for quite a while, with 10s full of 5s. MoMoney wasn't having that and swooped in with a full house of her own, aces full of 7s. She claimed and held onto the high hand for the remainder of the game, with that, the rewards and other such bonuses are as follows:

1st place bonus: MoMoney

High Hand: MoMoney

Many congratulations and we look forward to seeing you all at the next tournament.

Announcement to follow, with the Halloween event this weekend, the date and time are yet to be determined.

High Hand: $1,000,000

Royal Flush: $5,000,000

Report Post Tips: 3 / Total: $60,000 Tip

Good evening, ladies and gents. We had a good game last week. You'll recall our tournament was held on a friday, unlike our usual weekend scheduling, as we were getting ahead of Halloween. Hope you all had a good time with the event. Despite the late notice, we had a decent turn out. Amongst our usual players, such as Aethersix, Spicy, Quini, we had a few new comers as well, which we're always glad to see.

Speaking of Spicy, she'd won the last few games and decided to offer a knock out reward of $2,000,000, for anyone who could knock her out of the game. So let's see how things played out. The results:

1st place: Falka

2nd place: PlagueDoctor

3rd place: MoMoney, aka Spicy

That's right folks, Falka decided to show up and he played hard. It was close for a while there, but Falka took the win, knocking Spicy out with a 5 to 9 straight. A decent hand, but not the best that evening. PlagueDoctor and Sosa faced off for that. Sosa had a nice hand, a full house, 9's full of aces, but PlagueDoctor flipped it and showed his own full house, aces full of nines, very nice indeed.

PlagueDoctor continued to put up a good fight, but ultimately took second to Falka. The last hand was another close one, PlagueDoctor and Falka each had a pair of 10s, so it came down to the high card. PlagueDoctor was looking good with a queen, but Falka one-upped him with a king, and thus the game was had. Congratulations on a good game, and with that, let's take a look at our bonus rewards:

1st place bonus: Falka

High hand: PlagueDoctor

Spicy's knockout: Falka

Now it's time to look to the future! Firstly, we at Elemental Poker would like to try to fix a time and day for the weekly tournaments. It is requested that those interested in participating send in a brief summary of their availability to our manager, Quini. The results will be reviewed and a time and day that best suit the majority of players will be set. The current proposal being Saturdays, at 23:00. Though we will attempt to maintain some flexibility should events arise.

Secondly, we'd like to gather information on whether there would be interest in a second "low key tourney." This would take place at a different time and day, to allow a secondary group to gather who are not able to attend the primary tournament, (or for those who'd like to do both.) This mini tournament would have the usual casino payouts for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, but would not have bonus rewards, nor warrant it's own newsletter. Again, please send any thoughts and opinions on the matter to our manager, Quini.

Thirdly, we are graciously accepting any and all donations towards the bonus rewards for the tournaments. And while we're on the subject, we've a new reward being added to the usual list, Cracked Aces, rewarded to whomever is dealt pocket aces and still loses the hand. So let's review our current tournament bonuses:

*New* Cracked Aces: $500,000

1st place bonus: $1,000,000

High Hand: $1,000,000

Four of a kind: $1,000,000

Straight Flush: $2,500,000

Royal Flush: $5,000,000

Finally, lastly, and in closing...this week's tournament! We will meet at The Fifth Element Poker table at 23:00, this saturday, Nov 11th. We look forward to seeing our usual participants, and hopefully some more new faces!

Report Post Tips: 2 / Total: $40,000 Tip

Greetings, poker players. It seems last week was a bust. Unfortunately, not enough participants were present to have the tournament.

Hopefully we can rummage up enough players, and with our manager, Quini, back in action, get a game going!

Due to the cancellation of last week's tournament, we'll proceed with tonight as a replacement, and carry on as usual. Please see our previous newsletter for the general information, with the change of date to tonight, Nov 18th, at 23:00, at The Fifth Element Poker table.

We look forward to seeing you there, and hopefully we'll receive some feedback on last week's points of interest as well.

Report Post Tips: 1 / Total: $20,000 Tip

Okay, poker people.

Last week we only had a small turn out, just four players showed up for the tournament, but let's see how it went.

Roya, aka Gillian, was rocking it with her favorite, three of a kind, with 5 of them in just one game, though she was kind enough to split one with yours truly.

We had a few bad beats, but the most notable was the final hand of the game. Quini was feeling hopeful for the win with a full house, fours full of queens, but MoMoney, aka Spicy, stole the win, and the high hand for the game, with a superior full house, queens full of sevens. Congrats Spicy. Let's take a look at the final results:

1st place: MoMoney, aka Spicy

2nd place: Quini

3rd place: Roya, aka Gillian

A good night for the ladies, with our only male participant, aethersix, taking fourth place.

As for our rewards, we had a special last minute donation from Transistor. He offered up a CA for a bad beat, which incidentally happens to go to your humble author. In the spirit of his generosity, the CA will be held to be rewarded to the next person so experience a bad beat.

1st place bonus: Spicy

High hand: Spicy

Bad beat: Quini

A quick word before we finish up, we've not received any feedback on the scheduling of tournaments, so for now they'll continue as they have been. With that, we hope as always to see you at the tournament at The Fifth Element Poker table, tonight, Saturday, Nov 25th, at 23:00.

Report Post Tips: 2 / Total: $40,000 Tip

Alright folks. Last week's tournament. We were happy to see a much better turn out this time around, and some new faces too, thanks to all for coming. Let's have a look at the results.

1st place: Falka

2nd place: HotIce, aka Corky

3rd place: aethersix

Congratulations to our winners. Now for the bonus rewards. Due to some generous donations, there were some particularly nice prizes on top of the usual pay outs for 1st-3rd. 3rd received a bonus $2,000,000, 2nd received a cool $6,000,000, and 1st received a whopping $12,000,000!

1st place bonus: Falka

High hand: HotIce, aka Corky

Bad beat: Spicy

We had a fun game, there was a good fight for the high hand, but ultimately it went to Corky. She beat out Quini's flush as well as both Roya, aka Gillian, and aethersix each with a full house, 10s full of kings, with a superior full house, kings full of 10s, all in one go. Nice one!

We had quite a few full houses throughout the game, some of which gave us our bad beat. Spicy thought she had the hand with an impressive full house, jacks full of queens, but Corky snatched it away yet again with her full house, queens full of jacks. Spicy got a bad beat and won a CA as her consolation prize.

Now, for this week's tournament. We have a bit of a change this week. Instead of gathering tonight as usual, we will be having the tournament tomorrow, Sunday, Dec 3rd, at 23:00. We hope to continue to see new faces, and all our favorite regulars!

Prizes are limited for the time being, unless we can receive some donations to help keep them going. This week's prizes are as follows:

1st place bonus: $1,000,000

High Hand: $1,000,000

Four of a Kind: $1,000,000

Straight Flush: $2,500,000

Royal Flush: $5,000,000

Report Post Tips: 2 / Total: $40,000 Tip

Hello poker people. We've looking forward to tonight's tournament! But before we get to that, let's see how last week went.

1st place: MoMoney, aka Spicy

2nd place: Swii

3rd place: Falloutia

1st place bonus: MoMoney, aka Spicy

High hand: aethersix

Though there weren't any jaw-droppings hands played this game, we still had some good ones worth looking at. Aethersix took the high hand when he had an impressive full house, aces full of 10s, which he won against Spicy's trip 10s. The last hand of the game came down to not two but three players, our final three were all in. Swii unfortunately only had a high card, ace, and Falloutia's had a pair of jacks, therefore Spicy took the win with her pair of aces.

Back to tonight. The tournament will be on our usual day again, so it's tonight, Saturday, Dec 9th, at 23:00. Let's have a good turn out!

Due to some kind donations, we can look forward to a few more bonuses, which are:

1st place bonus: $1,000,000

High Hand: $1,000,000

Cracked Aces: $1,000,000

Bad beat: $1,000,000

Four of a Kind: $1,000,000

Straight Flush: $2,500,000

Royal Flush: $5,000,000

Report Post Tips: 2 / Total: $40,000 Tip

Alllllrighty folks. Here we are with our weekly poker news. We had a decent turn out last week, always good to see. It was a good game and a fun time to be had, in my opinion. Definitely a ladies night, with our lovely female players taking all our winning places as well as our bonus prizes! Let's have a look at the results,

1st place: Roya, aka Gillian

2nd place: HotIce, aka Corky

3rd place: MoMoney, aka Spicy

It was a lively evening, with besties Corky and Gillian going head to head for first place. It all came down to a high hand, each lady had two pairs, Kings and 7s, but Corky's high card 9 was no match for Gillian's Ace.

Speaking of aces, we had some cracked by Spicy, earning her a prize. And on the note of misfortune, our bad beat went to Corky, when she and Spicy both had a flush, but again Corky's 9 wasn't good enough, Spicy won the hand with a Jack.

On the flip side, we had a certain someone have quite a bit of good fortune. First place as well as the high hand for the game went to the ever-pleasant Gillian. She did one better than her favorite, 3 of a kind, and played a rather impressive hand, our first 4 of a kind in some time! Earning her an additional reward. She played a great game! Let's take a look at those prizes,

1st place bonus: Gillian

High Hand: Gillian

Cracked Aces: Spicy

Bad Bead: Corky

4 of a kind: Gillian

Now then. Thanks to some more very kind donators, all the prizes are still on the table!

Today is Saturday, meaning our weekly tournament is tonight at 23:00. We very much look forward to seeing you there!

Welcome back my poker playing people! I hope everyone has had a nice holiday season. Looks like we've got some catching up to do.

Going back, the game of the 16th. It was a short game, a smaller turn out than usual, but a couple new players, which is always nice. Despite the short time, we managed to have a player get a four of a kind (tens)! No surprise it was one of our usuals who got it, and I'm sure you all can guess, it was Spicy. She played a good game, but didn't get the win that time around, that went to a player new to our table, Tanya_Degurechaff. She didn't mess around and bullied her way to the top to take the win, let's see how it turned out.

1st place: Tanya_Degurechaff

2nd place: MoMoney, aka Spicy

3rd place: H-E-R-O

First place bonus: Tanya_Degurechaff

High Hand: MoMoney, aka Spicy

Four of a kind: MoMoney, aka Spicy

The weekend before Christmas we had a break and the tournament didn't take place, so the next game took place last week, the 30th.

People were still getting the holiday on, so this was a shorter game still, with only a small handful of players turning up. Everything started out in a typical enough manner, Gillian won the first hand with her favorite, a three of a kind. But suddenly our Trip Queen realized she had places to be and had to take off in a hurry. She decided to go all in to get herself out of the game, but things took an unexpected turn, when time after time, she won nearly every hand. In no time at all, she won the game, leaving the other players with their mouths agape. After a moment to register what happened, everyone had a good laugh about it.

1st place: Roya, aka Gillian

2nd place, MoMoney, aka Spicy

3rd place: aethersix

Spicy wasn't about to let Gillian have all the glory however, and still managed herself the high hand the game, our only flush.

First place bonus: Gillian

High hand: Spicy

Now we're all caught up, please stay tuned for the following newsletter, to get the details for our next tournament.

Report Post Tip

Alrighty folks, we're back to business. The tournament will be tonight, Jan 6th, at 23:00, as per usual.

Beyond the normal payouts for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, we have so fun prizes, all of which are currently on the table. We'll also have a surprise gift tonight if we have enough people show, so here's hoping for a good turn out! The prizes offered are as follows,

1st place bonus: $1,000,000

High Hand: $1,000,000

Cracked Aces: $1,000,000

Bad beat: $1,000,000

Four of a Kind: $1,000,000

Straight Flush: $2,500,000

Royal Flush: $5,000,000

Good turn out: Surprise gift!

Quick second to mention, we always appreciate any and all donations for rewards, so we can keep 'em going.

Looking forward to seeing you all this evening, at The Fifth Element Poker table!

Report Post Tips: 3 / Total: $60,000 Tip

Good afternoon folks. It's been another week and we're getting ready for the tournament this evening, but before we get to that, let's see how things went last week. First, the results,

1st place: Falka

2nd place: aethersix

3rd place: zDiamonDz, aka Sekhmet

We had an excellent turn out, with 10 players showing up! Due to this joyous number, we'll have some special gifts going out.

With so many players, we had a lot of action and some great hands played. Our high hand went to the second place winner, aethersix, with his four of a kind of nines! His impressive playing was no match however, for Falka, who played a hard game and took his win, at no surprise for those of us observing the game. He had it in the bag for quite a while there moving towards the end, saving all his best hands for last.

As for the bad beat, that'll be rewarded to two players, Falka and Swii, who both played a flush with a high card jack, followed with a ten and an 8. It was quite close, but aether took the hand for himself when he played nearly the same, a flush with a high card jack, but with a ten and a 9. Some luck! Let's sum up the results,

First place bonus: Falka

High Hand: aethersix

Bad Beat: Falka/Swii

4 of a kind: aethersix

Special Gifts: Our three winners

We're hoping for a similarly great turn out tonight, so please join us at The Fifth Element Poker table at 23:00, tonight, Sat, Jan 13th!

Report Post Tips: 1 / Total: $20,000 Tip

Hello again poker people. Another quick notice in regards to tonight's game and moving forward.

Due to lack of funds, the rewards will be cut back for some time, until we can replenish our poker account.

We are gladly and more graciously accepting donations, which can be sent to our manager, Quini.

With that said, the rewards being offered are as follows:

1st place bonus: $1,000,000
High Hand: $1,000,000
Four of a Kind: $1,000,000
Straight Flush: $2,500,000
Royal Flush: $5,000,000

Thank you for your time, and again, we're looking forward to seeing you this evening!

Report Post Tips: 2 / Total: $40,000 Tip

Greetings once again, poker playing people. Saturday has come and gone, why don't we take a look at how the tournament played out.

The numbers weren't looking too promising at first, but in the end we had a reasonable number of people show, seven, not bad. Of those who played, some gave it their all. Swii played a good game, earning him third, but our top spots went to our top two players, Falka and Spicy. The two went head to head, both aiming to claim victory, but it was Falka who came out on top, having played the majority of the note-worthy hands. This includes the high hand for the game, they may have just been twos, but they earned him a four of a kind! With that;

1st place: Falka

2nd place: MoMoney, aka Spicy

3rd place: Swii

Falka played quite an impressive game, dominating the best hands, as well as all our prizes! And thanks to some generous last minute donations from Albino and The Falka Foundation itself, we had a special bonus reward for our first place winner, 10 insta BGs! A nice win to be sure.

First place bonus: Falka

High Hand: Falka

Four of a kind: Falka

Extra 1st place bonus, 10 BGs: Falka

Now, upon management's review of Elemental Poker's tournament history, a certain detail has come to light. As mentioned above, Falka and Spicy are our top two players, which is of no surprise. It's through taking a closer look that we've come to realize that of the last 11 games played, Falka and Spicy have each claimed four 1st place victories. (An honorable mention for Gillian claiming two, and Tanya the remaining one.)

With this said, we've decided to add a little flair to our tournament. Having received a shiny new quad from Sylence to be used at our discretion, we've decided the following; Whomever is first to claim 5 total victories shall be our grand winner and take the quad!

Will it be Falka or Spicy in our dozenth game this coming Saturday? Or perhaps someone else will storm in and take the lead? We at Elemental Poker cannot wait to see! While we're on the subject, let's get to the details of our next tournament. Our 12th game shall be this Saturday, January 20th, at 23:00. Don't miss it!

Current rewards will include the following:

1st place bonus: $1,000,000
High Hand: $1,000,000
Four of a Kind: $1,000,000
Straight Flush: $2,500,000
Royal Flush: $5,000,000

5th time win: 1 quad!

Report Post Tips: 7 / Total: $140,000 Tip

Happy Saturday, perky poker people! It's about time we take a look at last week's game. Some of us were highly anticipating the results, very much prepared to see either Falka or Spicy claim their 5th win and get the Quad CA prize! It was a rather unexpected turn of events, however, to witness someone else, not even a regular, come in an dominate the game! Drinkykin, aka RupertGiles, quickly gained the lead and didn't let up 'til it was all over. He took not only first place, but the high hand of the game as well, a nice full house, kings full of 10s. Let's have a look-see as the results,

1st place: Drinkykin, aka RupertGiles

2nd place: Falka

3rd place: Spicy

First place bonus: Drinkykin

High Hand: Drinkykin

With that said, our Quad CA prize is still on the table, for whomever is first to win their 5th game in our weekly tournament!

And while we're on the subject of new prizes, we've another exciting announcement to make! Starting this evening, we're introducing a new opportunity to players, Bounty Hunter! Reminiscent of the previous poker manager, Roxie's knock out prize, this reward will go to whomever is to knock out the previous first place winner. The reward for doing so will be $2,000,000 and is available each time we have a new Bounty Hunter.

One final announcement before we're done. Aethersix has kindly donated  $10,000,000 for tonight's first place winner, what a guy! We're always very glad to accept cash donations!

Will all that, let's review tonights available prizes,

1st place bonus: $10,000,000
High Hand: $1,000,000
Four of a Kind: $1,000,000
Straight Flush: $2,500,000
Royal Flush: $5,000,000

Bounty Hunter: $2,000,000

5th time win: 1 quad!

Please join us at the Fifth Element Poker table, today at 23:00 to take your shot at these awesome prizes!

Report Post Tips: 1 / Total: $20,000 Tip

Goof afternoon, folks! We had a bit of excitement last week at our tournament. We had a special $10,000,000 first place prize as well as a quad for anyone to hit 5 wins, with Spicy and Falka both showing up with 4 under their belts. So let's see what happened.

We had quite a few good hands, with players really giving it their all. We had a fair amount of flushes and straights, but even full houses were showing up pretty often. For a while Quini was holding the high hand with her full house, 8s full of queens, but Spicy was having none of that and secured the high hand with her full house, queens full of 3s. She went ahead and took the win with that same hand, against Sekhmet who played a full house, 3s full of queens. With that, Spicy claimed all the rewards for the evening, including our special prizes! Many congratulations to her.

1st place: MoMoney, aka Spicy

2nd place: zDiamonDz, aka Sekhmet

3rd place: Quini

First place ($10,000,000): Spicy

High hand: Spicy

5th time winner(Quad CA): Spicy

On to tonight! We have yet another special prize for this evening's tournament. Funded by the Falka Foundation, anyone who is to have TWO instances of cracked aces in the game will win a Quad Ca! The hands do not need to be consecutive, but they must play through 'til the end of the hand.

With our cash fund a bit low at the moment we've been cutting back on some prizes. Though we really would like to put them back on the table, so in lieu of cash rewards tonight we will be offering perk prizes for some hands. (We are gladly accepting cash/credit donations!)

A final note, our previous winner RupertGiles didn't play at last week's game, making Spicy the one to beat tonight in order to claim the new Bounty Hunter prize of $2,000,000! So let's sum all that up.

1st Placed Bonus: $1,000,000

High Hand: $1,000,000

Bounty Hunter: $2,000,000

Four of a Kind: $1,000,000

Straight Flush: $2,500,000

Royal Flush: $5,000,000

Bead Beat: Surprise Perk

Cracked Aces: Surprise Perk

2x Cracked Aces : 1 Quad

We look forward to seeing you all at the Fifth Element Poker table tonight at 23:00!

Report Post Tips: 2 / Total: $40,000 Tip

It's that time again, folks! Fashionably late, here we are with the latest poker news.

As usual, let's start with last week's game. You'll recall that Spicy won the game prior, making her the one to beat to claim our $2,000,000 Bounty Hunter prize. Albino played hard, but Spicy wasn't ready to give it up quite yet, so of course, she went ahead and took first place! We here at Elemental Poker have a feeling that she's going to make a habit of making it a difficult prize to claim.

Our high hand, however, went to somebody else this time around. Gillian had our only 4 of a kind, of tens, and claimed both the 4 of a kind prize, as well as the high hand for the game!

She didn't stop there either, we had a surprise reward going out, a CA for whomever provided the most entertainment throughout the game. Gillian naturally won this honor, as she is well known for her humor and playful manner, with lines such as, "I love a greek kiss."

Our final acknowledgement goes to RupertGiles, winner of the bad beat. The first notable hand of the game, RupertGiles and Quini both played a flush, jack high, with his being the superior hand. Both, however, lost to Sylence, who outdid them with his flush, queen high. Therefore, RupertGiles was able to take home a perk, to take the edge off his misfortune.

Let's go ahead and sum all this up then, shall we?

1st place: MoMoney, aka Spicy

2nd place: Albino

3rd place: Drinkykin, aka RupertGiles
