Background Until recently, we were ruled by a triumvirate of a rare diversity of talent. New York was expertly led and managed by Ian. Much of the rest of this thing of ours was taken care of by Marston, and those he installed in various cities. Let's be charitable and say that the cities that were not New York were... well, they were not led and managed expertly.
With no vision or leadership, what should have been the most powerful Godfather in recent memory found himself at the business end of a gun wielded by a descendent of the Telkin lineage. Telkin's lineage is one that I respect, almost revere in fact, but I don't think Marston will. Marston, you see, was quite openly disdainful of Illuminiated, saying he posed no threat to anyone but himself and saying he lacked the skill and finance to mount an operation against him.
This aloofness cost Marston his life. And I think his entire bloodline has suffered irreparable damage. What a humiliation. What a buffoon, killed by a man he didn't rate at all.
Crowdfunder
So let's try and salve the colossal damage to Marston's fragile ego by getting a bundle of cash together for the offspring of the humiliated deceased. Be generous, the poor bastard needs it. What a clutz.
"Ian's Alliance" claims a kill
Last night a WiseGuy named MsLucyJordan shot and killed Ives, a high profile, ambitious mobster with proven familial ties to persons involved in attaching Ian's crew.
Ives was the third sponsored gangster murdered by the Alliance, but the first one claimed. There will be many more deaths in reprisal.
It should be stressed that this Alliance is not endorsed, peopled, or even approved by Ian.

So far we have raised $560k for Marston.
Surely people think more of him than that? He at least had the good grace not to actually engage his opponents in combat. We'd have had writing competition level casualties if he had. |
