| The NHS family closes it's doors on robots! | Started by: Alchemy on Oct 28, '11 12:29 |

I've got to say, I somewhat saw this coming. Not necessarily from Alchemy, or from anyone, I just knew there would come a point where people realized the ridiculous notion of NPMs. In my opinion, NPMs are a disgrace to the Mafia. Some fucking robot can get a Made Button without saying a word to anyone? He can become a Capo on his earnings alone? Whoever thought that was "okay" to start with was out of their mind. To establish the point even more; few, if any, leaders in our modern day EVER make it to a funeral of their "beloved" NPMs. |

McQuestion smiles as the speech comes to a close.
Alchemy, I know we have yet to get to know each other. But we work in the same city. And I for one, like the idea. I believe that eventually the disbanding of these robots and their ways will be a great day.
I know that at the moment some families rely upon them or need the extra cash flow. But I hope that eventually all families can follow in your footsteps and get rid of the robots or this thing of ours. I would love to move back to just flesh and bone members. |

Ahh but it is good to see other leaders taking on this stance. I have done so for a long time now and I personally believe my crew is that just much better because of that. I see others saying it is easy for a full crew to take on this stance but I managed from the nearly the beginning without them, and so did every other crew leader before they were ever brought in. In my time as a normal member I saw crew leaders neglecting their members, sure maybe it was just that they were a bad crew leader but I also point the blame at the NPMs. Without them Crew leaders need to encourage their people to make money, need to actually talk to them directly. But I saw crew leaders leaning back and letting the money rolling in from the NPMs. I didn't want to be like that nor have the temptation there. So despite the frustration of my own RHM and being ridiculed by people within my own city and outside, I made a stand on something that I really believed in. |

Smart thinking, all this new way to make money is ridiculous. When are you going to stop working the credit market place and selling your DFP? While you are at it you should stop allowing your family to do Organized Crimes. Why stop at the new ways to make money? Since you aren't making any money why not sell all but 10 of your Bodyguards? I tell you what, I will help you out. |

Don't be so ridiculous RobinHood, do organised crimes, credits, hell even bodyguards take up valuable space in my family? No! You are being dumb by completely missing the total point of this. These robots do not help a family or give an advantage at all, they hinder them and as Stallion mentioned, they make a leader lazy. There is no logical reason as to why my real hard working mobsters can't make me mobey for the family, with the right work from me they will make even more. |

This is a wonderful announcement and one that I’m proud to be associated with as a member of the Nasty Habits Society, it’s also something I personally took into consideration when choosing which family to represent as I’m tired of being surrounded by these unnecessary creations which have blighted this thing of ours for too long and no doubt will continue to do so for a time to come. I think it’s a very humbling acknowledgement from leaders who’ve took the initiative from New York, Los Angeles and Chicago respectively, to help restore faith in their members and raise the standards of practise within their organisations.
As for my perspective as an associate who’s family will no longer be enabling these robots, it will certainly give me the added initiative to put forth that extra effort whether in a financial capacity or similar to repay the faith that has been shown by the leader, I understand income may be diminished but I believe what can be gained is invaluable in the long term. My leader is willing to put his toys to one side and show responsibility in maintaining and cultivating a more closely knitted family attempting to strengthen its bond and for that my gratitude is boundless. |

I find it quite ironic that a man named RobinHood can be so focused on greed and be so wide of the mark.
I think most people are in agreement that these robots are bad for society, and in an ideal world would like them shut down. Some people shrug their shoulders as if they are a necessary evil to keep the BG machine going and people in the inflated manner in which has become accustomed and expected
But lets imagine a scenario where we had no more robots, would our society grind to a halt or would we adapt and evolve. I'd like to think we would find a natural equilibrium where we can thrive and prosper better than what we are doing today. Albiet on a smaller scale, but who said small was bad. At least there would be a point of balance across the cities where everyone was operating on an even keel
We'd see less new families than we have had in the past months as there would be no more robots to act as buffers in existing crews. There will be less crew leaders rattling around in half empty HQs whilst the crew leader across the road does the same thing managing nothing more than me, myself and I. The families that do exisit will have a real identity and purpose and will be all the better for it
Leaders would have to acclimatize, their pockets will be hit initially. Shockingly, they are still some crews main source of income, even though these robots are nowhere near as productive as they were a few months back and don't bring in as much income. It will put the inpetus back on the crew leader to lead and get the most out of his or her real living and breathing crew. Sponsors will have to step upto the plate in recruiting. People will have to venture out of their HQ's and network. Its a butterfly effect, one small change like this can impact larger and more significant changes in all other apects of our life
Lets hope leaders take heed, the only people I can see who won't consider this will be the ones who have too much to lose, who hide behind the NPM machine and who will be unable to adapt and change

JohnSmith, how can you issue that challenge when New Orleans is stacked with NPMs? You're pressuring them to rush into something that's terrible for business, and potentially insulting. They're doing this on the principle that they aren't going to bring more NPMs into their family; "The Doors are Closed to NPMs", and it's not that they're repulsed by them. |

Whoever has stepped into this conversation and agreed to it with such enthusiasm is who I'm talking about. What's the point of keeping them around when you're in full agreeance with this idea? So they run their course and make you all the money they can? Bit hypocritical right there wouldn't you say? |

JohnSmith I've not saying everyone must kill there robots now, not at all. I do not tell other people how they will run there families. I've offered the challenge for people to reduce them if they choose to do so great, if not it's no skin off my nose. The original idea behind these robots were never ment to be cash cow machines, sure that was a perk but the real idea behind them just isn't needed anymore. Sure they can help a small family get started but there has to be a time when a leader takes the training wheels off and stands on he's/ her own feet and leads a living family. Before the recent war the miss use and frankly abuse of these robots was insane. I for one will not continue that path, this isn't a burn your bras lady's day. I am not expecting everyone to agree but everyone who has is helping taking a step in the right direction. Once again I thank them for that. |

why are inactive persons who haven't earned a cent in a week being prioritised over a machine. |

Either you are misunderstanding me or slightly more deliberately misconstruing what I'm saying. I will elaborate however. When I refer to inactive members, I'm talking about the people who claim they want to be a part of our business, join a family, and are never seen around these parts again. Their earnings are minimal, their rank is the lowest available after the sustained period of 7 days in our world. That is what I'm referring to as an inactive. They are in no way of any importance to you, they have not earned your protection of them as one of your members, they've kicked up all of $200 in their first seven days of life with you. That wouldn't even pay rent in a good flat. Let alone enough to have protection from other Mafioso who could be looking at putting a bullet between their eyes. Every family seems to protect them for a month or more for no reason aside from to make up numbers. |

Some people come here to try the life of crime an find out it's not for them. They have to be given the chance like everyone else, we were all new at one point. However a leaders prerogative on when he/she cuts them loose is there own and another topic all together. I will say though money is not the only thing that someone brings to the table when they join a family. My personal choice is when that time comes to cut someone loose I'll choose to replace them with someone who has more to bring to my table. |

Correct me if I'm wrong but organized crime is all about the money, the respect comes with it. |

I'll be happy to correct you JohnSmith, you're wrong. The pandemic problem in this thing is it has become too money driven. Putting the dollar before the virtue of family
Respect doesn't come with money, far from it. Respect comes from an admiration of someones abilities, achievements or ethics

No, organized crime is about money. Plain...and simple. The things you do to keep your money flowing is what leads to your respect or lack of it. |
