It all started with one drink, A drink bought by a handsome detective and before
she knew it she was in the best casino in Las Vegas with the chips flowing like a sweet
wine, The bright lights and all the bells and whistles, Bliss found herself enthralled
in the excitement, Ordering drink after drink almost completely forgetting about the
events that took place earlier in the evening...

She had taken part in her first crime since coming to these shores, a simple
job raiding an evidence room to get back some cocaine that was confiscated a few
days before, Her part was to go into the bar across from the police department and
keep the detective distracted long enough for her partners to get in and get out,
Scanning the room her pale blue eyes take aim as they find their mark, It started
off easy enough catching his eye from accross the room, Tossing her hair plafully,
Running her fingertips slowly along the plunging  neckline of a dress that was
showing way to much cleavage, Letting her tongue dance seductively across her blood
red lips, This would be as easy as taking candy from a baby,

He sauntered up with a gleeful grin and boldly offered to buy her a drink, "My name is Gene
I haven't seen you around here before, I would remember such a beautiful face" He said as he
stared down the front of her dress, After a few drinks and a couple minutes of cheap banter,
She suggested They move over to a booth in a dark corner of the room, Making sure she selected
a table far away from the front window so he would never see the events taking place right
under his nose, He moves a little closer placing his hand on her thigh, Bliss leans in and
traces his ear with the tip of her warm tongue, She feels him shiver under her touch, They
begin to kiss and caress each other right there in the bar,

Just then shots rang out from accross the street, A panic raced through her body as he started
to pull away to see what was going on, Without giving so much as a second thought she reached
down and pulled a blade out of her handbag, As the cold steel pierced his flesh their eyes met,
Shock and dread covered his face as she quickly pulled the blade out and continued to shank
him a few more times, His eyes closed and she leaned him forward against the table as though
he had simply passed out from to much of the drink, Pulling her jacket closed to cover the
blood stains, She quickly got up and made her way to the exit to see where the gunshots rang
out from,

To her suprise when she made it into the street she found it wasn't her gang at all that had
spurred the gunfire, It was but a happy man celebrating his daughters marriage to a congressmen,
Shaking her head in disbelief as she pulled her jacket tighter she heard the bartender scream
"oh my god hes been stabbed get an ambulance" hurrying into the nearest building to escape the
gathering crowd, Now here she sits, Drinking, Gambling, Having a good time, Not giving a second
thought to what had transpired just hours before, Although the thoughts were burried in the back
of her mind that she could face retaliation if the man survived, Finishing off the last of her drink ,

Bliss decides it time to head out to meet up with her gang and face the music, She couldn't
help but think her time may be very short in this world.!
