Day Watch Started by: Marty on Nov 01, '11 17:35

Salvatore stepped out of the car and walked into the bar. As soon as Marty walked into the bar the place turned quiet. Dead quiet.

Don't worry guys, he's with me.

At that confirmation, the bar resumed it's noisy level back to 100 percent and a man opened the back-door for them to enter. They walked down the steps which seemed to get longer and longer every time Sal walked down them. When they finally reached the bottom, there was a door. Sal, opened it and in it was a bullet-proof glass office over-seeing a shooting range. In the middle of the room was a desk with a briefcase. Sal, motioned for Marty to open it.

Report Post Tip

Marty stepped up to the suitcase and opened it.

Is this my christmas present? Jeez, my mudda in law could probably give me somethin' better.

Marty pulled out a slightly rusty .38 revolver.

Whatever, it's better than nothing, the one I have has been busted ever since I threw it, it bent the barrel, it always misfires.

Marty tossed his .38 off to the side and pocketed the new one.

Ok, so now what? You gonna tell me about this secret mission yet?

Report Post Tip

Sal, shakes his head in disgust.

That gun right there, belonged to your father before he died. He always wanted you to have it. I fixed it up for you so there's no risk with it and it shoots pretty damn well. Except cosmetically I wanted it how your father had it. Mission, what mission. Get down to that shooting range and show me how you'd take out a target.

Report Post Tip

Marty contemplates whether or not he should smack Sal, or himself. Instead he just speaks, while gently holding the gun.

I read his journal, I heard he kept multiple guns throughout his career. This must have been his first. He used it many times, but it's never been shot...

Marty trails off... Then becomes alert and looks at Sal.

Is this it, or is there a job you wanted to do?

Report Post Tip

Look Marty, just do this for me alright. Then i'll decide whether or not your fit enough to come with me on the job.

Salvatore, points with his hand where the door is to the shooting range.

Go to number 14.

Report Post Tip

Marty goes to aisle 14 and checks the ammo on his .38. He glances at a target about 50 yards down the hall. He takes aim and fires six shots at it. then he pulls the wire and brings in the target, finding two holes in the chest/heart, two head shots, and two misses.

Did I do good, Sal? I haven't shot in a long while.

Report Post Tip

Sal smiles as he remembered Marty just a kid and this particular Aisle was the one Sal, Marty's father and all other important Mafioso's in the family used. It seemed that Marty was developing into a mighty fine one indeed.

You did well, kid. You did well.

Sal, now begins to tell him the true story as to why I was here.

Look.. i've got a propisition for you. The main reason I came to you wasn't because I was going on a big secret mission. Or Job. Our CL thought it was about time you got that Made title that you've always wanted. Now you've already been interviewed. You've already proved yourself many-a-things. And I needed to be sure that you were ready. And ready you are. Whatha say to that? If you choose to accept this honour. I want you to come on a job with me. A big one. With a lottta money and were going to tribute all that money to our CL under your name to show that it wasn't such a bad idea to consider you to be made.

Report Post Tip

Marty grins as he hears that it's a big, well paying job.

You know I'm down, besides, I haven't really done anything exciting besides holding wagers on bum fights. So what's the job? The real one this time, not the one I thought we had. But thanks for the piece.

Marty tucks the .38 into his jacket pocket.

Report Post Tip

Sal, puts his arm round Marty and walks him out of the shooting range, into the office, up the stairs and out of the building until they reach the car.
Sal gets into the driving seat turns the car on and drives.

The job. You wanna know the job. What d'you think of the police?

Report Post Tip

I think that they are corrupt bastards, or honest men who just want a job, or  some glory dog trying to get shot... Why?

Report Post Tip

Well, they raided the Durden families drug supply. And guess what were gonna do?

Report Post Tip

We're going to stop the honorable PD from having a nice weekend?

Report Post Tip

Salvatore chuckles but the laugh turns into a bitter cough and he has to brake the car before he gets back to normal.

Were gonna do.... exactly *Cough* that. Fuukin' hell, I dunno what the hell that was about but sorry about that kiddo. But yeah, I'll explain more in detail later on, for now. We need to stock up on ammo and were going to need a good getaway car. This piece of shit would get us caught from a half-asleep turtle.

Report Post Tip

And I know just the person to help us out with that.

Salvatore joins the motorway and after an hour on it he cuts out and goes to a warehouse. Where he sees his old friend standing there waiting. Ready. With his hands in his pockets and a cigar in his mouth Marty struggled to work out who it was.

Report Post Tip

donmorrison stood patiently as he waited for them to drive up. He was puffing on a nice cigar that he had ordered from a shop back in town. When they finally pulled up he almost instantly recognised the young Marty. He had knows the bloodline for a while and was glad to be working with friends again.

Hey yous guys. How are things? Been a while Sal. And Marty, boy I knew you when you were just a toddler. I always knew you would end up in this thing of ours. Nice to see you.

He puffed on the cigar more and released the smoke into the cold air. He then took out a set of keys.

I have the perfect thing for the job. It's all around back.

He opened up the warehouse and unveiled a ton of ammo with many automatic weapons. And off to the side outside the building there was a nice luxury car that had obviously been outfitted with bullet proof glass. It was a dim red color so as not to attract too much attention to itself.

This right here is my pride and joy. We gotta make sure it makes it back in one piece. I haven't seen action in a while now. I can't wait. Let's get this thing started.

He then started to load up on as many weapons he could and tossed several to the guys. They then loaded up the car. As they were getting in Sal ran back inside screaming, "I left something inside. I'll be right back."

Report Post Tip

Sal, went back into the warehouse and then got a set of keys on the desk-table. These keys were the most important part of the job and the team needed it. He jogged back to the others and by the time he got back they were waiting inside the car chatting away. Don in the driver's seat and Marty in the front passenger seat. Sal sighed and sat in the back seat. He hated the back seat.

Okay Don drive to 4th Rainde Avenue. That's our safehouse and we need to plan everything.

Report Post Tip

donmorrison drove quickly and made sure to keep the morale up as he always does. He did his best to make sure he drove the car perfectly so as to not attract too much attention from the cops while also speeding. He kept the two others talking and made sure they had their guns sorted out.

So fellas, how's life been going for you two? I heard you got your button Marty. That's good to hear. Good job. Keep up the work.

He then offered both of the men a cigar while taking another out for himself. He was getting anxious the same way he did before all of the jobs he had been on.

I can't wait to see how this plays out. I have a feeling we are going to need a pretty large cleaning crew if this is as big as I'm thinking.

As they pulled up to the safehouse on 4th Rainde Avenue they all exited the car and donmorrison made sure to conceal the weapons the best he could. When he exited he made sure to lock the doors because he didn't want anyone getting close to all of the firepower or stealing the car. Then all then entered the safehouse.

Report Post Tip

Salvatore always admired donmorrison for his cautious and reliant behaviour. Nothing ever went wrong when Don was hear and with such driving skill Don was known all over the 8 cities as one of the best drivers there is. You need to get out of somewhere.. FAST. Don was your man.

When they entered the safehouse Sal sat them down in the living room and made them all a hot cuppa tea.

They sat down round the desk and began to discuss the job.

So here it is.. 4 MILLION dollars worth of Heroin was seized by the Cops not too long ago. Now many families are considering raiding the warehouse aswell but i've got a couple thugs to buy us sometime. Now, the warehouse is obviously closed to the public and there's no main road and your pretty much in the firing line as soon as you step off the road 100 miles away. With nothing but desert and sand in the way. When we get there it'll be the night-guards on shift and there's going to be a shit load of 'em. But their night-guards for crying out loud, lol. So none of 'em have been fully trained other than opening and closing the gate and how to patrol. However, one panic button and you'll get the real pigs in there. The tough mother-fuckers that are trained to shoot to kill.

Now any ideas?

Sal, leans back and takes a sip of his tea that was beginning to get cold.

Report Post Tip

Marty examines his newer version Thompson.

We could get a guard crew coming out, and ambus them, come in with their ID's, then sneak in and grab the uniforms, and that pretty much gives us keys to the warehouse.

Report Post Tip

Wayyy ahead of yah there bud.

Salvatore, takes out the keys he got from the desk earlier and went to a locker in the bedroom. He opened it and there freshly laid out where three uniforms all with their badges on them. He goes back to the others and hands it to them.
