Lyli Liquor; a division of Cork-It Enterprises Started by: lylithe on Nov 04, '23 02:58

Vegas night life was always busy, and, despite the air cooling down in the rest of the country, November was no different. The casino was pumping in profit and near by, so was the wine shop. Lylithe was managing the small crew from the front of the shop, getting the chapel wine service prepped for delivery while watching @Cork work the till. Ten customers had come and gone and not one of them honest... but The Priest was here and the till would have to open soon. Lylithe tried hard to hide her smirk as @The-King brought her the last of The Priest's bottles.

"All set, Father, enough wine for the rest of the month, plus a bottle or two of the good stuff for your dinner. As usual, that'll be 573$ with the usual church discount." as the money changed hands, Lylithe almost danced. Cork counted the bills slowly and Lylithe wanted to yell at him, but waited. "five hundred and eighty, that'll be eight dollars back..." As the till popped open, glitter went EVERYWHERE with a clatter. Both men were covered in it. For a second all was quiet except lylithe giggles and then Cork yelled...

"LYLITHE! My Office! NOW." Lylithe quieted her giggles and took off for the back office... getting outa sight before they found the rest of the glitter... This was her best planned out prank yet.

A few hours later, Lylithe wasn't feeling quiet so giddy, she'd been pacing the quiet back office for about an hour now, having finished reading over and replying to all of Corks mail, tidied up the office and reread the coffee table books he kept in there for guests... including the three sports ones AND the golf one. She was starting to sweat... She'd never made Cork yell like that before.

Finally, after what felt like hours, Cork, @Fluffy_Tummy and another mobster walked in, she wasn't sure off the top of her head, was this Craved? Or maybe it was... @Craven? She wasn't sure, and was confused as to why all three were there... She hoped this wasn't her casket barer....

Cork, still dripping glitter from his hair, sat in his chair, letting Fluffy take the window seat. "Well Lylithe, after covering The Priest in so much glitter we're worried someone might mistake him for a stripper... We've decided to kick you out. Seeing that you seem to have more then enough time to plan elaborate pranks, Fluffy and I have had a Long talk. We were already discussing expanding the business, opening up some corner stores... and we've decided to put you in charge of them. And, to keep make sure you're kept busy, Fluffy wants you to take Craven under your wing."

Ah, yes, Craven then. Lylithe looked him over and raised an eyebrow. "Well, Guess I did kinda ask for it...You ready to get to work?"...

Three days later, Lylithe and Craven stood outside the first of several corner stores, admiring the glittering sign:

Lyli Liquor

"Ma'am, the newspaper is here, are you ready to cut the ribbon?" The gent stood nearby with the scissors, and Lylithe smiled.

"Well, we can't keep them waiting now, can we!" Lylithe takes the scissors and steps up. "Lads and lasses, We welcome you to Lyli Liquor!"
