Today is a day of mourning.  Many good people have died.  From the ashes of all this death and destruction, like a Phoenix, rises a new family, headed up by EvilClown, assisted by Thor and me, ManicStreet Preacher.

Whilst the killing is not yet over, that day will soon come.  We are a new family, born in uncertain times and in a changing landscape.  We will adapt, improve and continue.  We will work with friend and foe alike, for we are committed to this thing of ours.

Our forefathers were hunted and banned and treated as beyond the pale.  We were called 'terrorists' for our beliefs and our actions.  Well, we are better men and women than our (now dead) enemies.  We offer their offspring the olive branch, the hand of friendship - despite only ever being given the iron glove.

Let bygones be bygones.

Life springs from death; and from the graves of decent men and women spring living families. The Defenders of this Thing of ours have worked well in secret and in the open.

Things will never be the same again.
