Clarity was sitting at a high top table when she saw a man scurrying across the street towards her. Her eyes widened as the man avoided the cars driving up and down the street, he seemed very eager to get to her and for what reason? She did not know. She had just arrived at the coffee shop to grab a hot chocolate since her hands were freezing from the weather changing. Clarity had never warmed up to winter, nor would she ever. She always preferred the heat of summer to the breath taking winters, and they literally took your breath away because it was so cold.

Watching the man rush inside the shop she then realized who it was, Xiphos. She shook her head and stood up to face him while he quickly made his way over to her. He was clearly out of breath and was taking a second or two to regain his composure.

"What is it? Please don't tell me we're at war again. I really could do without hearing those words."

Xiphos rolled his eyes at her and then straightened up. He seemed to be puffing out his chest and attempting to look extremely dignified. Clarity raised an eyebrow and looked at him like he was going a bit crazy.

"Clarity, I have ran quite the distance to find you, but I was ordered to come get you and take you to JesseJames. He requested to speak to you right this second!"

Now having known JesseJames for a little while now, Clarity found it a bit odd that he would be beckoning her to his 'office' rather than just calling her to have a nice chat or inviting out to go out and get a drink. Why would one of her closest friends be sending Xiphos to get her for him.

"Is this just a joke that you two are pulling on me? I will be having a few words with that man if it is!"

Xiphos shook his head and smiled wide. He seemed to know something she didn't and it was beginning to bug her. Shrugging she figured she might as well follow him to where JesseJames was.

"Alright, lets go, there will be a double beheading if you two try to pull a fast one on me."

The two then made their way down the street and towards her new Godfather's HQ. He didn't exactly seem like the guy to use an office, but for this occasion they were actually going to be meeting in it. Clarity really didn't like where things were headed and felt her stomach start to become uneasy.

Walking up the stairs they knocked on JesseJames door to find it already partially cracked. Entering, Clarity saw her good friend standing there with the biggest smirk on his face. 

"Clarity! Oh how good it is to see you!"

Clarity gave him a small glare as she went to hug her, but she backed away a bit, waiting for the surprise to unveil its self. He chuckled as he realized that she had no idea what he was going to tell her.

"You really do have your guard up. It is safe to lower it. I brought you here for one reason today and that was not to pick on you, I can assure you of that."

He put his arm around her shoulder and then walked over to his office window, dragging her with him. Clarity attempted to scoot along and then looked out at the city with him. She was unsure what they were looking at, but she tried to make it look like she was staring at the same spot he was.

"I knew your mother, Simplicity, very well. I watched her grow into a wonderful lady as you have too. This is why when I realized that Chicago needed another leader to come forth, I thought of you. You have worked very hard for your leaders and you have always been a great friend to me. So that is why I have chose you to go bold. I want you to have your own family. Think you can handle that?"

Clarity then fell to the floor causing JesseJames to freak out and try to catch her. She had almost fainted when he asked her if she wanted to lead her own family. Trying to get back up without anybodies help, she then had to use the desk nearby to get back to her feet. Wiping down her dress and fixing it a bit she then ran her fingers through her hair.

"Can I? Oh heck yes I can!"

JesseJames smiled at her as he then shook her hand. Looking at the door he then nodded.

"Best get going then, you have a lot to do!"

Clarity rushed out to the streets with Xiphos and instantly stopped as she saw the crowd waiting outside. 'Did everyone know this, but me?' She thought. There were many familiar faces in the crowd before her. She recognized her friends and those she had once worked with.

"Greetings everyone. I now bring you the news that I just learned of myself. There is a new family in town! Chicago brings to you.....Guns and Horses, Inc.! Lead by yours truly, me!"

My My Clarity.

Our bloodlines have known eachother forever it seems. I have witnessed just how hard you work and the effort you put into everything you do. It gives me great pleasure to see you finally get your chance. I know you will be a big success in Chicago and i look forward to seeing the Guns and Horses prosper.

Lola steps forward from the crowd and offers her hand to Clarity with a genuine smile.

Clarity, although we haven't officially met, let me offer my warmest congratulations to you on this achievement.  It pleases me enormously to see another family join the Chicago ranks - I look forward to seeing your work and I have no doubt that JesseJames has seen something special in you. You've been bestowed with an honour that many mafiosi can only dream of; you have my deepest respect.

All the luck in the world to you, sincerely. This is positive news and I hope we can all raise a glass to it.

With that, Lola shakes Clarity's hand and steps back to let others offer their own support and congratulations.

Having known JesseJames' intentions for the meeting, Xiphos grinned madly as they walked into the office. His grin only widened when she fell to the floor in shock. He couldn't help but release a bit of laughter. After she had accepted the job with gusto, he followed her out to the street to make her proclamation.

Her speech was short and sweet; to the point. That's why he liked her, no bullshit. After she spoke Xiphos walked up and gave her a hug.

Clarity, first off, I'd like to congratulate you on the honor bestowed upon you today. I couldn't think of anyone more deserving. I know you will go far, and it is an honor that you chose me to help you reach your goals. I swear to serve you to the best of my abilities, and do anything you ask of me...Well almost anything. I don't do anything with children, or old ladies. Don't ask.

As I'm sure you have other people awaiting your attention, I'll keep this short. Congratulations on your big day. I need to go find some glitter to celebrate, so of you'll excuse me...

Xiphos gives one last congratulatory gesture, and leapfrogs over the nearest mailbox, hardly able to contain his excitement.

I knew your mother, Simplicity, very well. I watched her grow into a wonderful lady as you have too.

Never a truer word spoken. Your mother was a wonderful, one I was pleased to call a friend. You and I are yet to reach that same place, but I know in time we will. I know you'll grow to be a fantastic leader in Chicago and wish you all the best for and your family's future.

Congratulations Clarity on your new importance in Chicago under it’s newest Godfather. Being one of the first to step up after all the chaos, you have a heavy burden to bear representing the new generation of leaders. Many of the recent dead have sons and daughters flooding our shores, looking for employment that I’m sure a fair few will find with your organization.

However, I know from seeing you running Godfather Isacaron’s affairs from afar you certainly have talent at this Thing of Ours. Much needed, as a crew leader.

Clarity, I do not know you, but the title of your poster caught my eye and turned my frown upsidedown.  I applaud you for your wittiness and wish you the best in CHI.

Monet was smoking his cigarette while walking down the street and heard Clarity begin to start speaking. He decided to stop and listen to her speech. When he heard that she was settingi up in Chicago he wasn't surprised. He knew that her bloodline was very experienced in running a crew. His and her bloodlines had run long into the past. 

He began to clap when she finished and pushed his way to the front to embrace her in a hug.

Congratulations my dear, I know you have been looking forward to this day. I think you will do wonderful and I look forward to working with you, JesseJames to rebuild this city. 

He handed her the bag he had been holding. 

This is a bottle of mulled wine I just got from the store I want you to have it. I know it won't great you..clarity..but it's a time to celebrate, no?
