I love food and love to cook, experiment with recipes and explore new things! in that frame of mind i was wondering if anyone in mafia land loves cooking and has any favourite recipes they would like to share! here's one i cook regularly for dinner parties and one of my most requested not to mention easiest recipes to cook! its fragrant and comes with a little kick that can be changed for taste! An excellent starter for any meal! Try it out and post a comment or if you like share a recipe here!
Thai Garlic Prawns (4 servings) 6 garlic cloves, roughly chopped place garlic, ginger, eschalot, lemongrass and chilli in food processor serve prawns in oil mixture with lime wedges and sprinkled with coriander leaves (id make sure the plate/bowl you serve them on is HOT. little ceramic bowls in the oven work best) |

This week as Christmas is coming up! I want to talk about Christmas foods! now from what I've seen and heard in the US is traditionally a Turkey or Ham roast on Christmas day? with.. weird and wonderful trimmings... (yams? what the actual fuck are yams?) but here in the UK while a Christmas Turkey is a tradition I find it boring! Lamb, Beef, Gammon, Venison, Goose, Duck, pork hell I know some people that have Salmon all make wonderful Christmas meats! Turkey takes took long and takes too much room in the oven especially if you've got one big enough for all the family! when i'm hosting the family for Christmas or just a general roast dinner on a Sunday I could have upwards of twelve people to feed so i generally do two types of meat, roasted parsnips and carrots, buttered greens, home made gravy, Yorkshire puddings, cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets! (sausage wrapped in bacon) and stuffing Getting the perfect roast potato is key and Yorkshire pudding is the cherry on top! personally i love to cook the potatoes in goose fat and the yorkshire pudding in beef dripping! Here are two recipes for them both! Roast Potatoes and Yorkshire pudding what would you have on a Christmas roast? let me know! |

these are my favorite cookies at Christmas time and I'm feeling homesick enough to take the time and effort to attempt to make them. Only difference is I use apricot jam instead of raspberry.
