Las Vegas did wha??? Started by: LottaBEssen on Nov 16, '11 15:11

Yes folks, once again Philly gets to be in the headlines. (We're starting to get a little flattered) Last night, we got word that two of Las Vegas' new crewleaders were planning on taking out Philadelphia.

Their reasons? One of the LH's of a man that left me to go take the opportunity in Vegas tried to avenge his bosses' death by attacking the crewleader who shot him down. Apparently, since they came from Philly, that was my fault.

Well let me make this abundantly clear. When you leave my city to go to Vegas, once you set up and make Vegas your home city, you are Vegas.

So, I get word that they are planning on taking us down. Now I was approached by one of the fallen crewleaders in Vegas, who assured me (lied to my face) they had no intentions of shooting us down.

I had transcripts of conversations, I had confirmation from other people. I gathered my troops, and we took out the threat.

We had no help from other cities in this matter.
We stood united and did what we had to do.
I am extremely proud of my family and my city.

My only regret is the loss of two of my greatest members. They died protecting what they love, Philly. For that I am eternally grateful.

It's nice to get a coherent version of the events that happened. You did what you felt to had to, and you can't say any more than that on the matter really.

" As any crew leader in that position would do. You cant ask anything less '

Stan takes a large swig of whiskey and offers Lotta the bottle

May the fallen rest in peace

Report Post Tip

First off i would like to wish you congratulations on defending your city successfully.

Really the only question I had was with that the late Caveman informed me of.  The reasoning behind LV attacking Philly was the fact that a MadeMan under a philly crew shot at an LV crew while still sponsored by PH.  This person then bought out of the Philly crew (after shooting) and Ph did nothing about it.  This is how I understand the words of the late Caveman.  Hopefully his next of kin will grace the shores and better explain the whole situation from their persepctive.

RIP to all who fell.

Report Post Tip

Like it or not they still attacked? Is Lotta not justified for fighting back?

While you may be fairly passive about enforcing things she doesnt seem to be when someone is attacked.

Report Post Tip

Again, I'll pay my respects to the fallen - may they rest in peace - and congratulate Lotta on taking appropriate action as any GF would have done.

Also, I don't think the alleged passiveness of another GF should come into this, and I consider the statement both inflammatory and superfluous to this conversation. Not to mention extremely disrespectful.

Report Post Tip

Extremely disrespectful is when a person makes a speech lambasting another city and then not only doesn't get punished for it, but gets promoted to made man. Quality...

Report Post Tip

I don't think JesseJames questioned her actions in regard to attacking Las Vegas or any other really.

I believe he mentioned something relayed to him by Caveman regarding the actions of a Philly Made Man, performed whilst in Philly and the (lack of) consequences associated with them. This would be a similar the same passivity about enforcing things that you are (wrongly) accusing JesseJames of.

I'm curious how i'm wrongly accusing anyone. It is apparent that FattyFats had no intention of anything but bashing philly and I have yet to see so much as a word from chicago leadership about not meaning it. Any other city who would make an attack like that you'd be demanding punishment and you know it. It's just what happens when one dictator is traded for another

Report Post Tip

I spent several words on FattyFats and his discussion. Rather than detract further from this one, it would probably be prudent to address this matter there, where it is actually relevant.

I do love hearing this little gem all the time now. Do people ever take time to understand words before spewing them these days? Standards really are slipping.

Report Post Tip

ndeed Alabama Indeed, Though we both know that the person involved is not very smart.

Stan shakes his head and moves on

Report Post Tip

So, back to the point Lotta was actually making...

Kudos to you for eliminating a possible threat on your city. You have to look out for the city and you did precisely that.

This is the type of misconception that may prove dangerous for someone to hold on to.  I assure you, my leaders are not passive.

It almost seems unfair, don't it.

To my knowledge nobody from Philadelphia's upper structure demanded any punishment for FattyFat's speech. What members of PHI did do however is come out in strong support of their city and poke what they perceived as holes in his argument. More power to them. I believe Grin already touched upon this fact so I won't reiterate. I'm not gonna jump on any 'Let's bash Philly bandwagon' here because that shit's not necessary, but by their own admission they ain't got the power to be making demands for punishment, so why should we be obligated to do so? It ain't a bad thing and it ain't a knock on Philly, it's just how it is.

If what your ass is implying is that we are obligated to take it upon ourselves to issue punishment to keep everything 'fair' for everybody, well then your ass is mistaken and is probably in the wrong line of work. This shit right here ain't about fair. And I doubt Monet promoted Fatty because of his speech. She prolly promoted his ass based on some other shit. But if no word came down from JesseJames to punish him, and Grin already spoke to his ass about it, then that case is closed and you a damn fool if you think Monet needs to do anything beyond that because of some illusion of fairness you're trying to present us with.

And apparently PHI ain't so lacking in power they can't stick up for their damn selves because just last night they stuck two crews in the dirt. That don't sound like some lame duck city to me. Looks to me like PHI respects the position they're in, understands that at the moment their city ain't the powerhouse they'd prefer it to be, is working towards rebuilding, and is still down to defend themselves when a threat arises. Shit, I'll toast Philly on that. But don't think that a city need to dish out no punishments for no street speeches solely based on whether or not the offended party may expect that from them.

You sure you understand what the Mafia is? And how is this an example of a dictatorship? What did CHI dictate to PHI? In fact, the Godfather council has granted LottaBEssen an opportunity to represent her city on that council even though she ain't even close to holding that rank, but obviously respect her ass enough as a leader to give her a voice on that council. That mean she can dictate terms to a Godfather though?

No, it don't.

Anyways I'm interested in seeing PHI bear the storm and build their city. Right now it would appear the odds are against them but I've seen cities start at a disadvantage and build themselves up into powerhouses. I believe the most recent example was called The Roman Empire.

The man who shot at Caveman had already died prior to LV's attempted attack. Therefore, there was little Lotta could do to please LV, even if the circumstances did line up the way Caveman (via JesseJames here) described. Even if it had happened that way, what could PH do? The man was already dead. We can't punish a man who's in a coffin, so LV attempted to punish PH for what they deemed as an attack from PH.

No matter what the reasoning for the attack was, PH was committed to triumphing over them. In the end, LV did punish us, as they took a dear friend from us before we could end their conflict.

Report Post Tip

Was Caveman and Baba's actions to attempt a takedown justifiable? Yes probably considering Caveman was shot at by a Made Man from Philly.

Were Philly justified in reacting the way they did? Most definitely, I'd have done the same. Kill or be killed. Although I'd advise that they be careful on who they allow to make their bones in future, slip ups like that could be costly.

I'm not sure what all this dicatoriship bollocks is about either. How is this a dictatorship when it is clear all the Godfathers/Acting Godfathers are working together on a council? It's just the same old bullshit, nothing's changed, peoples parents lose in a war so they come out here with their sour grapes shedding a tear here and there and venting their unhappiness in some way or another, for people like Fresca it's bitching while they're untouchable and then suiciding. Personally I hope her daughter gets aids and dies...Forgive me if that is too harsh. I shall say 1 Our Father and 10 Hail Mary's later.

Thank you.

Report Post Tip

But the point is. Caveman was NOT shot at by a made man from Philly. He was shot at by an UNSPONSORED made man from Vegas who's CL had been killed prior to that. Caveman can spread all the untruths he'd like to justify whatever reason he had to go after Philly. But the truth is the man in question was unsponsored when he showed his face around here that afternoon. He was unsponsored when he took the shot at Caveman because he was under the assumption that Caveman was either directly or indirectly involved in the killing of his CL. And he was unsponsored when he died. I know it's probably a shock to discover someone just might have lied here, because all of us mobsters are so honest and good... But apparently it happens.

Report Post Tip

Okay let me clear some things up.

To answer JesseJames, the man in question here was a MadeMan named SaintAnthony.

SaintAnthony had dropped from my city a day prior to go work for Arnold_Rothstein. When Arnold died, SaintAnthony did not come back to Philly.

No. He stayed in Vegas, unsponsored with no home, and was doing all he could to defend the man he'd pledged his life to.

Caveman's weak accusations that because he originally came from Philly, so now it's our problem, is crap. The man never dropped from Philly with the sole purpose of going to Vegas and shooting him up. If he wanted to do that, as a MadeMan, I imagine he probably would have set up an HQ and giving himself the boost of holding a bold suit before pulling his gun. He left a day prior with the intentions of helping a man take the opportunities that awaited them in Vegas.

To answer the rest of you as far as this "dictaorship" nonsense. That's exactly what it is, nonsense.

You can stand out here and point out all my faults. Throw rocks at me and call me names. But at the end of the day, my city supports me. And that's all that matters to me.

Tony steps before the crowd that has gathered

As the son of the deceased SaintAnthony I feel it as my duty to defend his honor and that of Philadelphia.

SaintAnthony was the RHM of Mr. Rothstein at the time of his untimely demise designed by the now deceased Caveman. Cavemans motive was to kill anyone who may stand in his way, that he did. My father stayed in Vegas on his own to try and right tge wrong, he failed and was shot down for his choice.

Caveman used this excuse as an reason to attack philly under his own selfish reasoning, but he met his demise based upon his selfish actions.

Thank you.
