Over the last few months i cant help but notice the rapid reduction in reference to crew members. Below you can see how many members each family is currently housing. Mr_47 Chicago 48 CommodumPerfectus Las Vegas 23 bighead Los Angeles 20 Alfonzo New Orleans 45 Deviant New York 44 Major_Jerkovski New York 14 Eyzlee Philadelphia 40 Numbers4Glory Philadelphia 30 I am shocked to see that we do not have one family who is housing over 50 members. Also we have just one Don who houses just 23 members. Do we really need 8 crews in our small community? Is there really any need for Captains? Just a thought, would like to hear your ideas on this subject. |

Your surprised that no family has over 50 members?? That is priceless my friend, absolutely priceless. The gods have imposed a housing crunch for quite a while now that does not allow families to have over 50 members. |

| In that case how about it being raised to 75 or something? And only having one crew per city? | |

Forgetabout it If you look at mafia tradition there are various crews inside a mafia family hell Gambino family alone held 28 crews inside its family in the 1970's. These crews held various positions in Cities in NY,Conneticut,Fl,Balitmore,Philly, and NJ. Depending on the size of the city should depend on how many crews are in it. |

| I personally like the crew size at 50 because if there were like 75-100 like before, then things can seem to get out of control within your family and it can lead to bad things. Since the crews have been moved down to 50, I believe there has been less rogues, and less unhappy people within the families. | |

the captain crews let people who otherwise might not get a chance at boldness to show their worth to their current boss. if you take the captains away ,you replace them with 234 threads about not getting a chance for auth.I prefer the captains myself. |

| Well in my opinion there should be one crew in every city. When somebody wants to take control he should challenge the leader,. 8 crews would be good I think.. | |

| From my rough understanding there are only 6 families currently in this thing of ours. We also have two families who are of sufficient size to have officially setup their own subcrew. | |

| What we have now, numbers of crews is probably just about right, no more Captains should be given auth. | |

I really like the structure of having a Boss and a Captain. All high ranked members (Made Man and up) are in the Boss's family and all low ranked mafioso reside in the Captains HQ until they have proven themselfs as Made Man and they moved to the Boss's HQ. I think it sets a goal and shows that being in the 'boss's fam' is a privlidge and not a right. |

So do you agree each family should have a Captain? If that were the case and each family had a Captain, there would be 12 CLs on our streets, that would just be ridiculous. |

I think the way things are lately are great, we have smaller close nit familys where your not just filling a space and alot more varity to pick where you want to start your life of crime. I can't speak for everyone on here but I for one think this is one of the first signs in a while of these citys truely taking shape. Just my two cents worth TW |

| I dont think every family has to have one - I just prefer that family set up.. and 12 CL's is not much when you think of this as a nation from NY to LA - but with our current population yes it is a little bit as of right now. | |

A dashing young man walks in with a buttoned up suit and pink hat on his head. He pops a squat and proceeds to give his two cents worth on the matter. A matter which seems to be the hot talk of the town I think there are a lot of benefits with the small crew sizes. Like already said, it really does allow for people to get closer, and for newer memebers to interact with older members and exchange experience and wisdom. I think this is really important, and although some might argue the game isn't as glorious as it was before because there are less people and the crew leaders aren't as powerful, I would ask the question of whether that is truly degrading the game. I think with the smaller numbers, it allows for more experience, input, and responsibility. Three things that have far more positive externalities, than negative ones. In the smaller community, I think we are just creating a breeding ground for smarter and better players, and allowing for everyone to mature quicken, while enjoying themselves all the same. I'm glad that the crews are only 50 members, and I'm also happy with the amount of crews that there are now. I think everyone who needs a home can find one, and I think the families are strong at the same time. In my personal view, the game right now is very evenly poised, and hopefully only positives will come out of it. He picks up his jacket, and leaves the bar, in search of greater, higher, and bolder conquests and debates |

Sorry to disappoint you Pokoria but I'll try. I just want to point one thing. And I'd like to quote Apathy on this: "if you take the captains away ,you replace them with 234 threads about not getting a chance for auth.I prefer the captains myself." (Now imagine that quotation was italicized as I forgot how to) Seriously, is that really the purpose of having Captains? To do away with 234 threads clamor of plebians for auth? I really hope that the current Crew Leaders isn't thinking that way. I'd like to rant some more but I'm too lazy to do it at the moment so lets try this simple exercise. Imagine if all Crew Leaders follows that line of thinking. Just think. Cmon. ... Okaay. ... Good good. ... Let it sink in for a moment. ... There. |

Well, they don't. My organization is structured so that Eyzlee, my Captain, handles the recruitment and progression of new mobsters on our streets. She helps them develop their skills into the things we are looking for. When she decides they are ready to progress and join the family, i.e. become Made Men they transfer to the family HQ directly under me. We utilise the Captaincy as it is intended to be not just as a means to prevent tears over auth or any similar suggestion. The fact that they have prevented numerous speeches of that nature is just a perk, although given the lack of worthy candidates, it is hardly surprising that 'I want auth' discussions are at a minimum. The reason for the smaller HQs is to allow more people a shot at being the head of their own organization. If we still had 100 man HQs we wouldn't really need more than four crewleaders at any given time, leaving two cities vacant. The problems that come with having more people with their own responsibilities is also more likely to keep the world entertaining. |
