Joker was in Chicago two days early for a meeting that Big Jim set up, Jim wanted to formally set things right between Carmine Casio and the Joker.  They would be working closer with each other ensuring things were being streamlined and cost effective.  Jim and Johnny would be working to increase the legitimate side of the businesses that they owned. 

Joker had agreed to meet Big Jim for lunch and just catch up. It had been a while since the two just sat and talked which they did love doing.  Jim loved talking shit and breaking balls which was a term for talking shit about the other.  It was good clean fun to roast each other.  Joker looked up to Jim.  It was Jim that taught the Joker to talk less, smile more and never let them know what you're against or for.  

Jim wasn’t like Johnny Torrio, Torrio was smart and always making money.   Jim was faster at handing out cruel discipline to those that crossed him or failed him.  Rest assured it is better to fail than cross him.  Jim selected the place and time and they both appeared early to ensure that their counterparts and competition wasn't there to cause them undue harm. 

They arrived at the same time and laughed as their people checked things out.  They went into the joint and started talking business.  Jim had a plan and that was to phase out of the heroin racket.  To  set his children up with the type of income that they never had to work again nor their children's children.  Jim wanted to leave behind a legacy, a dynasty that would bare the family’s name for generations and mean money and power.  

Joker understood that because he was doing the same with his own rackets however he was also drawing the attention of others.  Joker tried to explain that when going legit you also create a few concerns from your peers as to why and what are your plans once legit will you turn on your old buddies but before he could go into details the federal agents walked in and arrested them both,  Jim told his men not to follow, the local cop’s were on Jim’s payroll Jim wanted his men to make certain phone calls to secure their release.

Joker told his two men to follow.   The agents hauled them downtown but when they pulled into the police parking garage the agents did a u-turn and lost the Joker’s men who could not park in the parking garage.   Jim and the Joker never made it into the police station.  They were taken to a place that was under construction and fenced off, the walls were constructed but the rooms of the building weren't finished.  Joker was being beaten in one room and Jim was being beaten in another. 

The men were not asking questions, then a man appeared to Jim first.  The Man’s name was Jerry (The Rhino) Loggos there were two other men with him and then the questions started.  Then the men appeared in the room with the Joker and started asking him the same questions and just like Jim, Joker laughed in pain and said your not government agents are you. 

Jerry slapped the Joker just like he slapped Jim telling the Joker they ask the questions.  Joker said that they were better off jumping off a high towering bridge with a cinder block into a bed of broken glass and nails then to be fucking with the two men they took.  Then the beating began again for the Joker.  They beat him unconscious and left him tied to a pole.  Jerry walked out with the two men and then they wheeled Big Jim into the same room as the Joker.  Jim was tied to a chair with wheels on it. 

When the Joker came too a few hours later Joe was able to tell the Joker that the short runt was named Jerry Loggoso, he was also known as the Rhino because he always rushed into shit head first.  Joker nodded and then said if he gets out of this he was going to cut the fuckers nut sack off and spoon feed them back to the bastard.  Then he was going to kill everyone that young turk loves in front of him before slowly torturing him to death.  Jim began to laugh in pain and ask the Joker to tell him how he really feels. 

Two days have come and gone and the Rhino was feeling his oats as he still had Big Jim and the Joker.  Joker’s men were tracking down the local cops that were there when Joker and Jim were arrested.  The attorneys that worked for Jim couldn’t provide any real information.  Then Jerry made the mistake by reaching out to Johnny Torrio and telling him what he wanted for the return of Jim and Joker.  

Jerry was moving the men around every night however he was feeding them twice a day.  Joker could only close his eyes and imagine the pain he wanted to cause the men that held him in captivity and treated him with such disregard.  They were going to die slowly and he was going to take great pride in his administration of their torment.  He was going to teach them the true knowledge of who he was. 

This took him back to his childhood, which led the Joker to kill his own father.  Now he understood why his father tormented him for so long.   Joker knew as long as there was breath there was hope.  Joker loved the law of cause and effect and these men have set into motion a shit storm of effects that will cause them to want death to visit them quickly to cease the effects that the Joker was going to do unto them before everything is over.  

Jerry made his point with Jim as Jim agreed to get out of the heroin business.  He turned over the locations of his stash houses and agreed to leave that racket going forward.  Jim even gave him the names of his distributors for their release.  They beat the Joker again making sure he understood that if he ever wanted to come at them he would receive worse.  Each punch the Joker would imagine doing worse to them.

Joker imagined sticking a corkscrew in the eye of Jerry then taking each of his family members and killing each one in a different way, forcing one to drink poison, another into beating one to death with a baseball bat.  Taking his woman and sisters and having them taken advantage of by bums off the streets in front of him.  Making his father kill his daughters and then forcing Jerry to kill his own woman, child or children and then pumping him full of drugs until he begs for them.  

Joker was going to take the two brothers and make them his pet dogs, crawling on all fours as he does to them even worse things than what he plans for Jerry.   This was more than hate, this was complete revenge.  He was going to ensure that his work was so totally brutal that others would think twice before attempting anything like this again or crossing the Joker in any fashion.  

The beating ended with the Joker being unconscious a third time and having a nurse caring for his wounds and reviving him.  Joker had plans for her too; her skills would be used on them  as he does all manner of primal medieval shit to his oppressors.   He was living to carry out his revenge and his heartbeat became stronger and stronger.  Jim would whisper to Joker to hang on and that they would be released in a few days.  Jerry had been told that if Jim or the Joker dies that war would run wild in the streets and no one would be able to conduct business.  Jerry told them to stick to the plan and the two men would be returned.

After being held captive for a week Jerry released them back to Johnny Torrio.   Doc and Whispers were there waiting on Joker.  They helped him over the next five days until he was able to sit up and talk without pain.  Joker first words were get the boy here and find out everything you can about the cops that arrested me and Jim,I want to know the agents and this Jerry fucker.  

Doc explained that the name’s of the cops and the arrest were never recorded as happening. A police captain named Aaron Madison approved the agents being there he was the only cop known to them.This Madison was from the 25 precinct. Joker said to pick this fucker up at his home tonight and bring him here.  They also told Joker that Jim didn’t want any part of this; he was stepping away. Joker wanted vengeance immediately. 

Joker looked at them and said get Nails,.Freddie and call Hammerhead and Tombstone. I want Jerry's wife, his kids, mother and father, his fucking  sisters if he has any and his brothers.   I’m going to make Jerry into a fucking lesson.  Then he told Whisper to call Sosa and tell him to whole the next shipment that we have a problem but will stay on track with all prearranged deliveries. Ask him is there anyone trying to move into the state with the Heroin.       

Doc and Whisper went to the pay phones across town to make the calls.  Joker was in the bed at his hotel with his razor blade and twin 38 revolvers. He was able to stand but moved very slowly.  He hobbled into the kitchen very slowly.  He opened the ice box and found a plate with a chicken breast and a biscuit.  He put it in the oven to warm and as the food was heating up he got out a glass and poured himself a glass of orange juice.  He sat at the table with his two pistols waiting on the food to get hot.

Joker thought about how he was going to get Jerry to rat on who the two men were, why did he kidnap him and why did he think he could beat on him and get away with it.  He thought of the many things he could do to torture Jerry but nothing seemed evil enough he thought of burning the man alive, slicing off a toe a day and then burning the nub to keep him from bleeding to death.  He thought of slicing off his johnson and feeding it back to him or feeding it to the rats or birds but that wasn’t enough crushing him to death in a car crushing machine but that would be too quick

Then Joker smiled.  He would kill all of Jerry’s family members for every question Jerry answered wrong.  He would make it like a game show.  Answer correctly and a family member would go free answer wrong and they would died.  Jerry would pick the method by drawing out the way prior to the questions asked.  He would give Jerry two minutes to say goodbye before killing that member.  Jerry would beg for death and never get it.  He would break Jerry down into a mindless dog,a human pet unwilling to speak or doing anything expect what he was told to do.
