Jean_Valjean walks down the streets with purpose, his black shoes slowly and steadily flowing out before him as he moves through the crowd. He is wearing the standard black suit and white shirt, but your eyes are drawn to the shining emerald of his eyes as he slows his pace and comes to a stop on the street corner. Ladies and Gentlemen... and TestRanks... I'm sorry to interrupt from your business, but I have two brief announcements that I believe you'll find worthwhile to listen to. The second one far, far more so than the first. The reason the first announcement is relatively less special is that it concerns myself. Only a few of you know who I am, and I intend for that to change immediately. Business has unfortunately kept me mostly occupied for the vast majority of my life; even my father and grandfather have been barely present in this place. This is unacceptable and has caused me great distress, and I am grateful that I now find myself in a position to change this. My name is Jean Valjean. Sounds like "John". Or "yawn", if you're not enjoying my speech so far (I implore you: stay til the end). I hope to get to know many of you in the days to come, and I encourage anyone who has a desire for conversation to get in touch with me. I have great dreams for what this world can be... which leads me to my second announcement. I will be opening my business tonight in Las Vegas. I know. I know. You hear all this build up and my grand announcement ends up being a sign that says "Open". Wrong. Valjean stretches out his band and points to the section of the city behind him, which is showing signs of construction, but looks to be generally abandoned. That is the business district. Largely ignored by most. I see the zombies marching around to their liquor stores and 7-11's without ever making a sound and I ask why. Why has the business district fallen on such hard times? The interactions and friendships that spark and roar to life in that part of the city give us the warmth and heat that provide this world with its center. Without it, things fall apart. Men like the Don of Las Vegas have worked to stop this process, but even great men cannot stand against the tide of a society's apathy- all must stand. But I'm not here to point to the nearly empty business district and throw the topic out for a street debate. Others can do that if they wish, and there is certainly value to be had in that task. Though I do consider contemplation and discussion of the utmost importance, I also pride myself on being a man of action. So I've acted. I refuse to believe that the problems with the business districts cannot be solved by dedication and innovation on the part of the business owners, and so I have spent the recent past planning. I have been working on gathering a dedicated staff, and it is my hope that any man or woman can step through the threshold into my business and find someone there waiting for them at any given hour of any given day. What is my business? It is a bar. It is a restaurant. It is a dance club. It is a strip club. You can come by to drink. You can come by to eat. You can come by to dance. You can come by yourself, with a date, or with a group of friends. You can come by to watch a dance and see one of the girls, or you can come by for a quiet drink and a chat. Whatever you are looking for, my business can handle it. If we can't, we've got a construction crew on standby ready to add a new wing so we can. I encourage you. Come to Las Vegas and visit Fire and Ice Thank you for your time. |

Many of the more astute listeners in the crowd have no doubt noticed that there is also a strip club aspect to my business. Unlike the faceless abstract bodies that seem to be the standard fare around here since my great-great-great... or so... grandfather came to these shores, this club will feature real women. They will be performing live on stage, and I have stressed the importance of individual customer interaction and discussion. Any women with the confidence and desire to express themselves on stage... and make some serious money as well, should get in touch with Eyzlee. Ms. Eyzlee will be serving as my business partner, and will have full creative control of the strip club- I am extremely excited to be collaborating with her on this. One final note. This is a strip club, and you'll have fun if you're there. But if you step out of line and harass, attack, or generally cause any problems, you will find yourself in a world of pain. This is the 1930's, and you are expected to act like respectful men and women, regardless of how excited you get. Disrespect will not be tolerated. I am honored to say that security and a respectful atmosphere has been guaranteed by the Don of Las Vegas himself- so be on your best behavior. |

A man with a purple suit struts into the district only to see that it has changed. The rat whole that was before has been transformed and he can't help but notice to see his own reflection in the glistening marble floors. He checks the look on his face, one of shock This place has defiantly defied my expectations. I really like what you've done with the place. It's clean, and useful, and efficiently. Just the way things should be run. You seems like a fine man Mr. Valjean, a very fine man. I like what you've done, so much so I am willing to help out in your clean up and business. Your cleaning the trash up off the street, and turning them into reliable business. Job well done. Expect to see a lot more of me in the coming days. the man leaves with a rye smile on his face, knowing that better days are yet to come |
