It was a calm Tuesday afternoon. The wind wasn't blowing, the sun wasn't shining and the rain wasn't falling. It was overcast. Dull, some might say. The weather I mean. Not a lot happening. Numbers4Glory was in danger of becoming a weatherman. Ahem. So, the weather aside, how are we all? Good. I've been mulling something over these last few days, you see. I said a few things over on OOC avenue that made me assess the situation we have at the moment and what I feel is being omitted. Something is certainly missing, wouldn't you agree? I'm not suggesting for a moment this is the quick and longterm solution to the problems facing MafiaReturns, it isn't. However, someone (shame I can't remember your name to give you a shout out here) made a particularly accurate statement several weeks ago into just how poor it is that we cannot even maintain a newspaper. Before I continue, my business associate in Chicago, Mr_47, produces a particularly entertaining piece of garbage, which I very much enjoy. I hope he does not see this as anything more than a challenge to what he is producing, as I wish for his production to continue to find it's way to the streets. Nor do I want to call out the editor. I understand why she has taken this stance, one person should not have to produce a newspaper all alone. Not only will it not provide an accurate assessment of events, it is supposed to be produced by those on the front line. However, we do not have a Mafia Tribune. I can only assume this is either because we do not want a newspaper as I stated before or we cannot be bothered to produce one. The first hurdle we need to get over is if we actually don't want a paper. If we don't, let me know and I'll abandon this safe in the knowledge I didn't waste my time or money. Numbers4Glory is reliably informed by an anonymous source that an anonymous sample of MafiaReturns demonstrated that they would like to see a paper. I'll assume we do and thus allow me to tell you about my proposal. We are here to make money. Eventually however, should you be as fortunate as I, you may reach the stage that you really don't need that much money, in fact you find yourself with an excess, which your Brazilian RHW tries to get her greasy mitts on. I don't want to give it to her though, I want to use it to do something productive. I'm offering to bank roll the MafiaTribune. The Tribune has been unable to sufficiently reward it's writers in the past, after all it is merely a small company trying to make its way in the world. I, on the other hand, am a completely legitimate businessman with some cash I feel like burning. I have seen that people do not actually feel it has been rewarding to write for the paper in the past. The effort it takes to regularly produce an article is challenging. Even just one takes up a lot of time and you probably feel that you lost more than you would have made had you kept up steady criminal activity. With this in mind, I will be providing $2,500,000 per issue for the production of articles. This will be divided between the people who write something that the editor feels is acceptable to be published. This will be a standard payment regardless of how many people write articles for the paper. If the editor receives 10 articles of an acceptable standard for just you, then I'll transfer you the $2,500,000 in full. I will also be happy to offer more money should it be needed for prize money. If this isn't enough to encourage you to want to write for the Tribune please tell me what is. I hope I wasn't right with my view on the 2nd of March that we don't actually give a shit about this anymore. I hope we do. Take my cash. |

I'm going to be encouraging my family members to get involved in this area of our world. It's good to see someone taking interest in the life of The Tribune once again. Hopefully we can restore it back to how it was so long ago. Good Job Numbers. |

Mr. Torrio, I am aiming to have a weekly edition to publish. However, if we do not have the content that is needed to put out a quality weekly paper then it will have to be bi-weekly. Oh I see how it is Numbers. Donating money from your own pocket in an effort to bolster an autonomous organisation which improves the quality of our lives? Way to fucking ruin everything, Jesus. I can't express how happy I am that there'll once me be a regular production; expect some contribution from myself, even though Numbers has already made it abundantly clear that I've got as much chance of getting my hands on his cash as toto has. |

Great, another paper. The paper is the biggest waste of time ever. 1) If I have something decent to say, I will say it in the streets 2) If I want to read/listen to decent opinion, I will come to the streets 3) If I want something to wrap up my soggy fish and chips, I will use the paper I have never seen any advantages of it, never udnerstood why people would want to write it, and always feel that maybe the people writing should direct their expertise to the streets. 10 people make a seperate speech in the streets - looks good and busy the same 10 people keep quiet and sell their speech to the paper - looks dead peace and bless |

Hmm Frenchie I seem to remember a very lively paper as well as busy streets all at the same time! Perhaps having been without one for so long folks will start utilizing it again and MAYBE, just maybe, bring some debate to the streets in regards to what they read. |

Eleanor, when the paper is at its best is when the streets are busy. When the streets are flying so people are unable to keep up with the news, so the paper acts as a summery of what is happening, and thus also makes it easier to write, atm, the streets are not flying, and havent done for some time. there are some good speakers out there, but they should be perhaps concentrating on street speaking rather then putting their words into print. |

Who is doing that Frenchie? I understand your argument, but if people are not even speaking in the streets already, how is this an issue? People who aren't speaking can now be drawn to write for the paper. |

N4G, we both that the majority of the time, the people spending time writing for the paper are the same people out in the streets doing the hard slog. if people wont contribute to the streets, they certainly wont contribute to the paper. but maybe you will prove me wrong and this might actually work |
