As a young child, I realized my father's job was different from those of my friends fathers. He wore a suit to work, but he wasn't a businessman he carried a gun but he wasn't a policeman.

We started off with a humble home and hardly enough food to eat but, within a few years my Father had moved us into a million dollar house complete with a top notch security guards and he eventually accumulated many fancy cars.

As I said before I never saw much of my father. I didn't know it then but he started off stealing cars and robbing the odd 7-11, eventually after he earned a good reputation my uncles got him to oversee a ring of New York City car thieves who would send their stolen goods to the chop shops to be sold for parts or scrap. My uncles had paid off many local policemen, judges and FBI agents in order to keep this operation safe.

As I mentioned in my first chapter after my father, who joined the Mafia as a teenager, was murdered in New York City many years ago, I was sent to live with my Uncles. I went to school like a normal kid and I did my chores like a normal kid but, I was anything but a normal kid. After my fight with Frankie The Bull in school I got my first taste of power and my first showing of respect from my peers.

My Uncles knew my Father never wanted this life for me but they also knew they could trust me and that I was more then ready so they gave me my first job. Who are we kidding here? I couldn't go back. What!, take the subway to work a shitty job for a bum paycheck? I rather be dead. So.. I started off just like my father. Stealing cars for the chop shops and eventually I also was overseeing the stolen car ring in NY.

Eventually the Politicians the Judges and the Cops all wanted more money, they saw how rich we were getting and they wanted a bigger piece of the pie. My Uncles and I paid and paid but they always wanted more and more money. These guys were greedier then we were but we were doing all the work, so you tell me who's the real crooks?

One night my ring was told by the Capo of the family to meet him at Luigi's downtown. Luigi's was an Italian restaurant where the old bosses would discuss family business.

We were told to fix this problem, My uncles needed to send a message that enough was enough. They ran this town and the cops needed to re learn that and fast.

Our plan was to send one group of us, my group, to the Judges house and another group would hit some of the businesses in town where we knew those leaches had interests. We smashed the windows set the curtains on fire and ruffed up the staff.

I never made it to the judges house. Someone had tipped off the cops and I was caught in my car parked on the road leading up the judges house, with a handgun tucked into my belt and a ski mask on my face. The cops beat me for hours trying to get me to spill my guts, which I did in blood and vomit but I didn't say a word. I was lucky to get away being charged with attempted robbery, This was my first time going to jail. I was supposed to spend the summer doing hard time, but my Uncles had connections and instead I spent my summer learning the drug trade. I picked up on how to get drugs which ones would make the most money and where I could sell them. Kinda funny though, I went to jail thinking my career as a mobster was over and what really happened was it had just begun!

When I got out My uncles weren't mad they were proud!

They told me: "You did the right thing kid and your Father would be proud, You never rat on your friends and you keep your mouth shut."
