As she continued to aimlessly wander around the dimly lit room, her eyes scanned the surroundings for any source of warmth. The chilly air seeped through her skin, making her realize that she needed something to keep herself warm in the night. She shivered as she noticed the worn-out mattress lying on the bare, cold floor, feeling the coldness seep through her bones.
Her gaze roamed around the room, searching for any piece of cloth that she could wrap around herself. She noticed a thin, patchy blanket lying nearby, but it seemed too flimsy and inadequate to provide any warmth. She could feel the goosebumps on her skin growing larger as the cold continued to seep through her bones.
Her eyes then shifted to a black cloak that hung from a hook on the wall, reminding her of the night when she had worn it while venturing out to feed in the city. The cloak seemed to be made of thick material that could provide enough warmth to protect her from the cold. She walked towards it and ran her fingers over the soft fabric, contemplating if she should wear it.
Suddenly, she heard the hatch on the door open, and two faces peeked in. The muffled voices of the guards reverberated in the quiet room as one of them opened the door and pushed in a tray with some stale food and murky water. The smell of the stale food made her insides churn, and she felt a wave of disgust wash over her. She moved towards the door, growling with frustration, fed up, and wanting to get home to a hot bath and warm clothes.
"What do you want of me, you assholes?" she snarled, her voice low and menacing, her fangs bared. She could feel her anger and frustration building up inside her. The guards looked at her with a mixture of fear and disgust before quickly closing the hatch and leaving her alone again.
Feeling the rage boil inside her, she picked up the tray and threw it at the door with a loud crash as the water spilt over the floor, making a mess of the already dirty room. She stood there, panting, as she watched the water drip from the tray onto the cold, hard floor. She knew that she couldn't stay in this place any longer and needed to find a way out soon.
