Marvin "Madness" Malone Started by: Madness on May 13, '24 09:20

In the wake of the Great Famine of Ireland (The Great Hunger). One hardened immigrate by the name of Marvin Malone was forced to come to the promised land, in search for a better life. He found himself working long hours in the dockyards as a longshoreman.

Unfulfilled by this lifestyle, backed with his lust for quick cash. Marvin found himself mixing with the local thugs, earning his respect and his name "Madness".

The leader of the local crew StripheCorelli heard word of Marvin and his reputation. Shortly thereafter he was soon taken in and shown the way of the wise guy.

StripheCorelli was sitting at his desk in the HQ looking out the window at the lights flickering in the distance. It was windy, warm and he could not sleep so he was awake counting cash and listening to the breeze. The family was basically full, the vaults were stacked and his local corner store had its busiest month in over a year.

As he overlooked the family roster he noticed a few of his family had been away for too long and just not putting in their fair share anymore... he motioned to his bodyguard

"Find Madness as soon as possible and have him by come as there might be some business for him to handle"

Striphe watched as his bodyguard left the room.

It just ticked over to 3am in the morning, and in a basement below a local bar in south philly there's a notorious gambling spot. It's here that Madness has been for most of his night, overseeing the operations of this racket to ensure everything runs smoothly. Besides from the occasional disagreement of punters with the house, usually after they have lost all their money, nothing too interested has happened so far that has needed Madness to intervene.

The room is dim lighted and hazy from cigarette smoke, packed full of people shoulder to shoulder. The drinks are pouring steadily and people are chatting in a bold and confident manner. Madness notices a tall dark shadow of a man standing at the bottom of the steps entering the basement. He can't make out the figure right away, but as the man slowly walks through the crowd of people he recognises him to be Karl, Striphes bodyguard. They catch eyes with eachother and Madness signals to the side of the room where there isn't a crowd so they can talk.

Karl says "The boss wants to see you, he has some business for you."

The headquarters had a very nice living room type area with two pool tables, a small bowling ally with 3 lanes, a full bar with a beautiful backdrop filled with diamonds and mirrors. The tone was mellow with lights flickering while a few men quietly talked at the bar amongst themselves. Striphe walked in and walked up to the bar grabbing a handful of candy from the glass jar as he walked over to the front window looking out onto the street. As he looked outside he threw a handful of the candy into his mouth as he watched the black limousine pulling up, coming to a stop with a few notorious mobsters including Madness, Junk_in_the_Trunk and zDiamonDz stepping out and walking in

As Striphe said hi to everyone he made eye contact with Madness and motioned for him to follow him back into the office so the two of them could talk business. As they walked by he noticed Junk was already at the bar and zDiamonDz and xander were playing a game of pool and starting to get a bit loud

Back in his office Striphe handed over a small crumpled up photo to Madness

Hey this guy was brought into the family as he was the cousin of someone I owed a favor but he ready to live the life of crime and has been away for a while. Frankly he is a risk at this point and we got to clean up the dead weight

Madness made his way to the headquarters armory, grabbed a fleshly cleaned snub nose revolver and slid it into his ankle holster. Pulling the crumpled photo StripheCorelli had handed him out of his suit jacket pocket. Madness took one last look at the man in the photo, walked over to a candle burning on a nearby desk and set the photograph aflame. Saying outloud softly to himself "Time to paint a house".

Madness pulled up out front of the marks suburbian house, getting out of the car he unhoslters his gun putting it in his waistband behind his back. He walks to the front door and rings the doorbell. This man has not been showing or reporting to the family in quite some time now, so Madness was considering that he may have skipped out of town. Upon this thought, the door opened and the man was standing there bewildered at the sight of Madness. Being told to grab his coat and that he's needed down at headquarters, the man hesitated with a long pause. Both of the men knew exactly what Madness was there for, before the man could take another breath, Madness drew his revolver, raised it to the mans forehead and pulls the trigger. BANG! The man drops backwards to the wooden floors flat on his back, half his brains splattered on the wall. Madness takes a step closer and fires two more shots into the mans chest.

Driving away, Madness takes a route that includes him crossing over a bridge to allow him to toss his gun out the window into the river below.

He pulls up to the local corner shops and walks over to the phonebooth, puts a quarter in, calls up Striphe and says "It's done".

StripheCorelli set down the black receiver of the phone softly onto the oak desk. He knew that a man had just died and that the course of history would always be changed and now his right hand man Madness had another kill under his belt.

"Killing changes a man" Striphe mumbled as he grabbed a piece of paper from his desk and crossed out a name with a red marker

As he leaned back into his chair, the chair rocked back into a comfortable position as he put up his feet onto a small foot rest next to the desk. He was wearing a pair of cowboy boots with steel toes that had sharp little skulls at the ends that were rumored to have killed a man years ago when StripheCorelli kicked a man heads over a territory dispute.

Speaking to his bodyguard Striphe spoke about a good poker game this weekend, business booming and a full family around the HQ. We still have some inactive to get rid of so I was thinking of sending Madness out to LA this time, out to the westcoast for a little trip

He grabbed his giant buckknife out of his boot and stabbed it into his desk, grabbing everyone's attention

Go find Madness, I need to find out about his schedule and see about getting him on a airplane to the west.. also he is close to his next promotion we might throw him a small party when he gets here
