Uncle Joe was wondering the streets after having recently been approached by Kuku to donate thirty million dollars for a writing competition that he had intended to throw for the local wise guys and gals. Uncle Joe agreed to fund the competition with the promise from Kuku that the money wouldn't be gambled away, after all, the two knew each other and the possibility of the money disappearing was very real. The competition had yet to come to fruition and with all the heated debating going on the past few days Uncle Joe still wanted to do his part.

He had been thinking to himself about running his own writing competition, but this wasn't Uncle Joes forte. Uncle Joe himself was more into generating money rather than giving it away but was good natured at heart, he would make his own attempt, his first foray into the field. He hoped the local's of the streets would bear with him, and enjoy the competition set before them.

Uncle Joe was a fan of truly authentic and realistic Cosa nostra tails of old. He enjoyed reading and being emersed in the most realistic stories.

Uncle Joe had 3 topics to choose from to write a short story about, he wasn't concerned with the length or any kind of entrance fee but wanted to see real effort to immerse himself and the viewers in a day in the life of "This thing of Our's".

Robbing the local bookmaker.

Unbelievable how a writing competition can actually come to fruition. I thought it nearly impossible during the recent days of waiting and waiting for yet another promised competition with no funding and no plan of attack. If someone has no money for protection, who is to believe they have money to spend on being a leader of the streets? Not I.

Who would have thought that the Uncle Joe, the LoTS himself would come out to deliver what the previous (very short lived) LoTS could only pontificate about?
