The late hero, Hugo killed LilPeep for being without style.  LongLeggedLarry was left alone, like his speeches.  The difference is that LLL's continuing life is a source of endless amusement.  That's why he wasn't killed.

The icing on the brilliant day cake was, of course, LLL trying to kill Regrets, missing, and shooting himself, though saved from serious injury.

It is truly difficult to describe how fucking funny being party to another public humiliation for LLL.  The man simply can't help being the hapless butt of a prankster's dream.  

Where once OliverQueen strode, being unintentionally hilarious for a group of mafiosa, so strides LLL, blissfully unaware of the embarrassment of riches he provides.
