I recon everyone should read Catch 22 at least once in their life. Read it on vacation when you have the time to just let it all sink in. Books are good, I try to read every day. |

I love reading. I've discovered I have to actively set aside time to read. I believe the best book I've ever read is 1984, it's probably my favorite and one that continues to resonate with me. Slaughterhouse Five is up there for me. Lately, I've been reading as much as I can about the Chicago Beer Wars for non-fiction. Al Capone's Beer Wars was a great book, Bugs Moran: The Man Who Got Away was a fantastic book. To nerd out a second time, for anyone who enjoys wrestling, the Bret Hart biography was wildly entertaining. I couldn't stop reading it. |

Lately it's Shadow of the lion by Eric Flint, Mercedes Lackey and David Freer. It's the first book in 6 volume series "Heirs of Alexandria". Right now i am at the third book in the series - A Mankind Witch, it's great but the first book is so fascinating and I recommend it very much. This series is so awesome i read it with breaks (in which i read 5-10 other non series books) in order for this series to last longer. |

i am not the biggest fiction guy but if i had to pick a fictional series, it would be harry potter. i remember being a kid and getting the books at the midnight release and reading it cover to cover in one sitting. I remember when the half blood prince came out, i was in europe with my family. I bought it in the frankfurt airport (it was in english) and i read it, in full, on the flight from germany back to chicago.
currently, my favorite book is "how to build a car", it is an autobiography written by adrian newey, arguably one of F1's greatest engineers. as an engineer by trade who always dreamed of working on race cars, it really tickles my fancy. |

David Sedaris, Me Talk Pretty One Day. I would still have my cherished paperback copy, but unfortunately it was in the bathroom when my apartment caught on fire and it was lost. |

A nice book is “five survive”. I read a lot and almost anything. Very few books disappoint me. |

My favorite book is a short series actually. It was one I read in high school and still reread off and on today. The Tricksters Choice and The Tricksters Queen. Most recent I'd say The Shepherd King Series. |

I have a few favourite books but the one that has stuck out as a favourite for the longest time is The Giver by Lois Lowry. I have reread it so many times and still never tire of it. |

| The name of the wind. Its first book of a great story. The magic system is amazing and the world building next tier. It’s about a boy who loses his family becomes orphaned, goes to the academy and learns lesser magics then leaves the academy in search of the name of the wind. Well in truth he leaves cause he uses the wind to smack his nemesis around and break his arm. But All in all amazing book should check it out. | |
