so i have this friend with whom i was like very close. but lately they are getting distant and silent around me. i asked them whats wrong they said nothing. but its clear something is wrong. what should i do...

i just feel like we both had a great time together, and i sorta want that back

Not to be a downer but sometimes friends drift apart. I had a friend who would have been my best man but then all of a sudden he disliked our whole group of friends. After about 5 years we all started to at least talk every once in awhile, but it was never the same.

Yeah... it can be that people just change, or just get other "interests", and maybe don't feel as good as before with people they were used to. Sometimes it's life, getting new habits, knowing new people...

My advice is this:

"Hey, I don't want to bug you, but just know that if something is up, I'm around and I've got time for you, ok?"

Sometimes people just need to know that, so that when they have the courage or they get their own head on straight and know how to talk about their problem, they know someone is there and willing to listen. 

I know we're all thinking it at this point... but we need an update!! If he's still around here somewhere :o

Realize that as adult very little about how a person treats you has anything to do with you. We've all got our own things going on and just because someone is quiet and distant doesn't mean they don't have love for you. That's usually when they need a friend the most, don't make an issue out of nothing and support the people you love.
