Every time this happens, I even tried dropping my firewall. But I'm starting to think its my ISP. Are there any alternatives or things that you guys can suggest, even the HelpDesk tried to help. |

try: irc.mafiareturns.com sloth.jaundies.com irc.mafiareturns.com 66.252.27.219 port 8080, 6660-6669, or 7129 (or 7001 for ssl) Let me know if you still have a problem connecting. |

Looks like its blocked from your side somewhere.. Try using www.mibbit.com (your browser, not mirc) Select the "Other Server" in the drop down and put in irc.mafiareturns.com:6667 While this is a web interface, and its not as good as mirc, it should get past your firewall. |

Well guys it seems now that i have another problem, it seems the web based irc chat is not working after my demise everytime i try to get on irc.mafiareturns.com:6667 it tells me its dead, and is terminated Any Help? |

Is this on a home computer on your own internet connection? Is this on a shared internet connection at an apartment complex? Is this at your work? Is this at your uni? Give us some info on your setup so we can help you with this. |

Its my home, i have wireless access to my cable internet. its public but i have set it to private i think , i still haven't put a pass on it tho..... hope this helps, any more info you need just post |

Ok, then unless you knowingly went into your modem/router and disabled ports, then it sounds that the problem is with your firewall/security suite. What type of security/antivirus/firewall applications are you running, also, what operating system? (windows xp, vista, ubuntu, bla bla) |

| Vista, i thought i only had the standard OS Firewall but i also have a virus program McAffee which could have a firewall i don't know tho. | |

| We were having issues with the www.mibbit.com client for a while. It was being blocked due to being listed in a proxy list. That problem has since been resolved and the IRC network is now configured to fully work with the mibbit interface. | |
