It was a cold Sunday night, I was in my HQ, I sat in my office, wireless turned on, listening for news of Las Vegas. I waited tirelessly, listening to white noise, the eerie crackling seemed to penetrate the skin. I had recently purchased a television (?). Some box with flashing lights which I was informed would show my images of the invent being broadcasted from a reporter in Vegas, I was dubious of it's authenticity. Why had I gone to such lengths? There was a battle, a three way duel taking place and the city was closed to all except those fighting for control. It was a rare event, amplified by the mafioso's who sought control: Animal, a long time veteran, oldest of those vying for power. I previously had the pleasure of working alongside Animal under the rule of the late PrinceofCheese and then again with Deviant, god rest his soul. From my experience with Animal, he would be a real contender for the city, a strong willed, well organised Mafioso who's presence demanded respect without a word spoken. StevenSeagal had also laid claim to the city. Steven was of the best pedigree, raised by the late Intervention, previous Don of New York and Captain to PrinceofCheese. Though I had not crossed paths with Steven, his father was a good friend and if history was anything to go by, Seagals claim would be noteworthy. Ricardo, the last of those seeking control and a relatively unknown quantity in this world, though all the more fierce for it. What we knew of Animal and Steven gave us an inkling of how they would proceed, Ricardo had the element of surprise and mystery on his side. Each contender had with them a RHM, Sal_Giaquinto, Grumpy and _Sahara_ respectively. With the battle lines drawn, we all sat in wait, glued to our radios waiting for news from the City to break. Hours passed with no news, then at 21:06, my television box crackled to life! I turned off the wireless and watched as the screen as it turned black and white, with indistinct pictures barely visible, then it seemed to focus. The picture before me was one of nightmares, there was a building on fire which I believed to be Ricardo's Headquarters, the flames showed as bright white lights and licked the nights sky, sending acrid smoke up towards the stars. Though the image was crackling, I could just make out a silhouette, a figure coming from the flames, surrounded by smoke. The reported was speaking but I couldn't hear anything, I decided to turn my wiresless back on to see if anything was coming through: "Ladies and Gentleman, what we have witnessed today is unbelievable, honour, bloodshed and deceit all rolled into a war that raged through the city of Las Vegas. Grumpy was the first to fall, enraging Seagal who swore an auth of Vengeance." I looked back at my screen, the figure was getting closer, still indistinct but definitely the figure of an exhausted man, staggering towards the reporter. I listened further "Almost an hour passed before we saw Sal take a hit, we presume but cannot confirm that this was the action of the enraged StevenSeagal, who shortly followed half an hour later. "With event's gathering speed, we were left with the unknown quantity of Ricardo and Animal to battle for the city. The whereabouts of both were unknown at this time, though an outside party was believed to be in the city and providing protection for Ricardo. The protection, though effective, proved to be insufficient as at 21:06, Ricardo's life was taken by Animal!" Glued to the screen, I see the figure make their final steps towards the camera, bloodied and bruised, Animals face comes into resolution, the distorted figure announces: "It's over!" |

| Although there were good contenders, was their ever any doubt that Animal would win? He has a usually well leashed wild thing in him but he let it out last night and tho I know Seagall to be an excellent mafioso, even he didn't stand a chance against the wildness. Congratulations Animal, can't wait to see your effect on Sin City! | |
