The door to Vittorio's black Cadillac opened in front of a recently purchased building in Bella Vista. The cherry from his Partagas exploded as he tossed it to the sidewalk before opening his arms wide with a grin. He turned back to the car and extended a hand to Mirabella to help her out of the car behind him. 

Vittorio tossed a thumb back to the building and raised his eyebrows at his wife before stepping forward towards a group of familiar faces gathered around the building to celebrate. 

He stepped into the center of them and spoke.

"This past day and a half has been a reminder for us not to take this life for granted. Many upstanding members of this thing of ours are now lying in the ground after some of the most storied careers to date. Bloodshed can be really bad for business, though.

"The leaders in this thing take up their role knowing damn well that it will all come crashing down one day, but I like to think that life is about perspective. So for now I'd like to focus on the positives. We have an opportunity to rebuild this country into something beautiful once more. Bella Vista will be doing its part, and I will be the one leading those efforts on this side of Philadelphia now that Spike has given me the nod."

His last words ended with a loud pop. Vittorio ducked quicker than scared gopher as a champagne cork sailed by his head.
