Sniffler straightened his purple top hat and slowly walked out into the streets and waggled his long nose and slithered his long tongue back into his mouth.

I would like to thank all those who assisted in the defence effort and generously gave their money and time to keep each one of us safe. Furthermore, I hope all those who died rest in peace and may their kin flourish in their endeavours.

“History will be written by the winners.” This line is thrown around a lot in response to these kinds of speeches. However; today I am not here to rewrite history. I am here to give New York's perspective of recent events and to discuss the future. 

First, to address the conflict itself and the participants. These ‘defectors’ stated that they had been left out in the cold and were disconnected. 

I am sorry that they felt this way. However, one does have to question why it had to be this way and why they didn't reach out to others to build that bridge? They all had the same opportunity to build relationships and friends on the East coast and yet, I am unaware of any attempts to do so. Instead, they remained sequestered, falling prone to paranoia and the even more deadly, boredom. 

To address the rumours that Hollywood was attacked and forced into the fight. I would like to say it is unequivocally false. Hollywood chose to enter the war by shooting Sal_Giaquinto. A decision made and acted upon by DeadIrishman. When approached about his involvement DeadIrishman lied and claimed to be assisting us. It was not until an eye witness placed him at the scene of the crime did he confess. No action was taken against Hollywood until DeadIrishman himself admitted to be joining the attackers and turning on his friends in LA. 

You will likely hear stories that they took these actions on behalf of the wider mafia community to improve things, to “make the world a better place and to rid the world of tyrants.”

I’d like you to take a look out at all the people who aren’t here with us today because of these actions. All your crewmates who are now dead because of your actions. Is this the better place you wanted? Do not try to claim the moral high ground, for what was clearly an attempt at a power grab. You chose to betray your own friends and cities and now those of us left behind have to clean up the mess. The earth keeps turning, and life has to continue. 

Looking to the future. I do not know if things will change. I do not know if it will be better for those that cry foul and complain. All I can do is promise you that New York and our friends will remain active. We will continue to prioritize community and community engagement. 

Furthermore, we will aim to be the change in the world that we want to see. We will not shrink into the darkness and fall to our fears and doubts. We will continue to stand up for what we believe and continue to build a better future. 

To those of you that doubt me, wait and see before you judge. If we do not uphold high standards then feel free to call me out. 

If anyone, big or small, ranked or unranked, has ideas or desires to improve things then my door is open for a discussion. I just ask you to conduct yourself with dignity and offer the same respect I give to you. After all, I am an aristocratic anteater. 

With that I will finish. I invite the leaders of the other cities to give their opinions and thoughts on the recent conflict and their commitment to the future. 

In Keith the Goat We Trust.

I mean it's not unreasonable to see their point of view honest, Tyki retired leaving them vulnerable. How many times have we seen a GFC who has held part in a regime keeping the peace for months have their city wiped within a few weeks of their retirement. I think furthermore the loss of Al Bundy probably played a big part in their actions. You saw both west coast city leaders lose their lives, I think their paranoia was justified even if my father lost his life to their actions. Now I personally can't speak to the inner workings and truly claim to have any knowledge to whether or not the situation could've worked with peace but honestly I get why they did what they did.

Secondly, I'd like to commend you Sniffler you didn't seem to come out here to have some grand soap box moment but you made sure to have a prescence within the streets after such a big even. Rest in peace to the dead, and may the living have long prosperous lives. 

What is there to Question? Tyki came to Irish and I about a week before he left for the old world, both to let us know he was leaving and to discuss the future of this City. During that discussion, Irish touched on his wish to step down, His exact words were “If you are stepping down I am as well.”

With those words in mind, Tyki and I began looking into options. Irish waffled on retiring several times, he was worried his people would be wiped if he stepped down and to alleviate that, I had offered to take Mr Silver in under me to Guarantee their safety. In the end, Tyki and I settled on talking to MrSki about taking over the Godfather Counsel seat. MrSki was a well know and trusted associate of ours. Someone we both have history with who we trusted step into the void two Godfather stepping down would leave.

For a while now Irish had complained that being a Godfathers was too stressful and that he wanted to step down. He went back and forth about actually doing it because he was worried about his people, which I understand. I regret that so many of our people were taken into his “retirement” with him. Irish was a Godfather and an adult. He made his choice, joined a rebellion against the people who had worked along side him and took his entire district over the edge with him.

TickledPink stood there listening to other's words, the speech Sniffler gave she could appreciate. The others giving their inputs all seemed very tasteful. To her it was such a sweet flavor that out of her mouth poured some insights. They wouldn't add much to the conversation, but it had sparked a memory from a journal of a loved one passed.

"Not everything is as it seemed."

She giggled at her own words and they didn't appear to be aimed at Sniffler in particular. She smiled and waved before giving her pink hair a twirl and off she went.

As he sat at his desk in his office he looked over the notes of everything that had happened as he sat down a few pieces of paper. The desk was a fine oak with a shiny finish and the office was large with windows overlooking the heart of South Philly. Striphe stood up and walked over to the windows gazing out towards the city streets as he watched cars go by and people walking on the sidewalks. You could see his stretch limousine parked near the entrance and a few of his men doing a bit of maintenance to the bullet proof exterior. Walking back over to his desk he sat down while considering the last week

It is not the first and it will not be the last time something like this happens and we pay our respects to our brothers and sisters that fell and gave all to protect our city and our allies. There will always be reasons and twisted conspiracy theories of why and what happened and in the end the actions taken show everything we need to know, and not forget.

We work with our friends from around the nation to rebuild and move forward with business as usual as we enter the holiday today. Big poker game coming up on Saturday and parties all around the nation with new faces getting a chance to lead. 

Striphe heard a loud bang.. he was not sure if someone did a home made firework or there was a shooting

ItchyGroin listened to everyone and stumbled in the middle of the small crowd, trying to make his way to the soapbox. They didn't even noticed him, as he grabbed the rusty microphone and started banging on it, saying:

"Is this thing working? Hello, hi, AAa aaAAa aah" he bangs a little more and the sound finally reverberates, and everyone looks at him.

"Ahem, erm, sorry everyone, someone should definitely fix another microphone for us, this thing must be from the 1900s." He smells it "also, it smells like ass"

Some people crosses their arms and stare, roll their eyes and some completely ignore him.

"Anyway, Sniffler is a very good guy and my parents and grandparents knew him and liked him very much. That being said i would like to quote some stuff i found weird:

Dear Sniffler, as i said in DangerClose's funeral, i have a deep respect for him, hes brutal and fierceless and he goes to great lengths to defend his people. That said, his regime was one of the most paranoids i have ever seen. I never did like @SakaiRihito that much (until recently, when i joined his crew and found out hes a cool guy outside of this thing of ours), but killing him in the same day he achieves Godfather? He had a massive cannon, he could've shot them if he wanted. Ok, lets suppose he wasn't to be trusted. Why auth him in the first place? To 'break his spirit' as DangerClose would say? Why take out @BadWolf, he was loyal to Spike and your friends, at least its what my grandmother Gillian saw."

He coughs and continues

"anyway, i digress. Its pointless to ask why's and who's now, what i really mean its DC's regime was extremely paranoid. They wiped goombas, gangsters, earners and even GFCs. They even wiped friends, as they killed aethersix's, Quintessence's, @LongLeggedHarry's parents, and many others."

"And of fucking course that made this world very boring. Half of our world couldnt even be able to learn to shoot well, before getting assassinated. Only 03 options available, being shot like a dog at a very young age; be given false hope, living happily and being betrayed and shot in the middle of the night after spending lots of resources; or stay hidden and hide your lineage, walking around in shadows, pretending to be someone youre not."

You chose to betray your own friends and cities

 "I will have to say it again: aethersix's, Quintessence's, @LongLeggedHarry's parents. And many, many others. And you too, my dear Sniffler, betrayed them. You were very intimate with aethersix father. And yet you stood and watched him die and did nothing."

"So there it is. This is the opinion of a lowly gangster and proud son of Gillian. I will not walk in shadows, and me and my kin will continue to assist with protections until all of you are wiped out. So my kin can finally come to light and walk proudly and strong among you again. Have a good day everyone. Except StripheCorelli, he's a thief."

He steps down, itching his groin.

"My apologies, i forgot to mention HarryDresden's greatmother, Corky. They also betrayed and killed her. These are the ones i remember, because my grandparents were very close to them."

"I would like to take back my previous comment about StripheCorelli, as he showed me great generosity today. Thank you for your kindness and empathy."

So my father is not here to defend himself I am going to, My father did say he wished to step down after he was told the GFC counsel would not approve of him taking GFC. He had been told his job was to handle the city not politics, He was kept in the dark and then told who was going to take over after decisions were made by the other two leaders of the city. 

To touch on what GFC Sniffler has said, DeadIrsishman was not attacked first and never claimed to be, He felt like it was coming as no one would talk to him. I have some pages in his book where he in fact tried to befriend you when you were running your speed comps or was that more delusions of a mad man? 

And no his actions were not done with the intent to "shake things up" it was done because he did not trust those who had clearly went behind his back, If those from his own city would then why would the whispers he had heard about others coming in and removing him not be as well?

All DeadIrishman wanted was to do was defend his district and maybe he did it wrong maybe not, but let me ask did anyone try to reach out and bridge the gap from the other side? 

See there are always three sides to every story, His, hers, and the truth. The truth is a group of Godfathers made a move and it failed to some extent and succeeded in others, but at the end of the day why are we trying to blame everyone instead of looking for ways to make sure these things do not happen again by finding better ways of creating comradery amongst the uppers instead of holding everyone at arms length because they are an unknown person

Listening to this speech once over again and seeing the sons of the fallen poke their heads in and try to justify mass murder as "averting being shot in their sleep" is just awful. Same for someone who I would have otherwise thought was a great guy decide to join a rogue and shoot the people he worked alongside with, apparently because he didn't get a GFC position despite already being a Godfather anyway, hurts a bit even more.

Let's start from the top.

____I____ was a rogue. There's no question about that. Otherwise, MrSki wouldn't have died from a traitor's bullet, and rather a collective. This was Summerlin, and Summerlin alone, minus their recruited backstabbers. The only reason this reached war-tier levels with the amount of death that resulted from it was a combination of murders in one's sleep and betrayal from one's own city. OUR city. How ___I___ managed to brainwash DeadIrishman into thinking Hollywood would be shot, apparently just like it would be allowed by Ivy or let alone discussed by the collective regime, the same reason why they'd think Summerlin and Vegas would be shot despite LA and LV being linked together as one, it blows my mind.

That's a pretty sick thing to do. Knowing you're going down once you decide to shoot someone due to whatever age-old gripe or nonsense reason you have against them, and then managing to convince someone who otherwise would not typically have any reason to believe that they'd be shot, to happily join along with you and shoot up a bunch more crew leaders and Godfathers.

Well, congratulations. The few people who had the wherewithal and the motivation to continue holding their positions and keep the current state of affairs in order are now dead, and a bunch of other people outside of the spectrum are too. You definitely ended the pattern of "boredom" or whatever actual reason you think it might be. Even though now in the later recovery process...we're back to the normal status quo. Probably not the change one was expecting.

Was the reason this time around seriously for something as shit as "boredom"? Is that what I'm seeing? We know flat out the talk of being shot in one's sleep is goddamn lie, so the only other reason I can vaguely take a guess at is boredom. Boo fucking hoo, everyone isn't getting shot every 60 days and people have a consistent chance to make a name for themselves and work hard without any risk. What a travesty. That's such a horrible thing, apparently. How the chance for lineages who never otherwise had a chance to earn the title of Godfather is now available to anyone willing to go for it, and now that's apparently a bad thing because the world we live in gets too boring? Seriously?

Ironic how someone who you'd think would otherwise never reach a Godfather position, let alone Godfather Chairman, is the one to start taking shots and making up bullshit despite being given those titles and a great opportunity. What a fucking waste.

What's also a waste is turning on your own city. It certainly doesn't help that the actual reason you're giving us is that you weren't offered or accepted to be a GFC despite being a Godfather already anyway. For someone who said they wanted to step down as Godfather entirely, or someone who mentioned they wanted to push for a lot of leeway with the drug dealers around here, that certainly doesn't help too much in reinforcing the idea of trust in one's city.

Like, come on man. "Nobody is talking to me?" At least just say what your real reason was. If you were finally getting bored and wanted to go out with a bang just say it. If you had any gripes against someone just make that known. I just find it hard to believe the real reasons here was "Nobody is talking to me, I didn't get GFC, wahhhhh, time to kill everyone I've worked with for the past MONTHS!".

Just seems like a lot of wasted effort. Months of hard work and effort and trust built up gone to total waste and now the lasting image left behind is "don't ever trust me again because I'll get brainwashed by a goofball into shooting at the people I worked alongside with".
